Flying Start @ Cornwall College - Camborne

My eldest went to the Preschool here and my youngest started the Day Nursery at the start of January. Although my youngest hasn’t settled as quick as my eldest did. I need to take into consideration that he is a year younger and has never been left with anyone other than myself or his Dad. This Day Nursery Team do their absolute best (given every difficult circumstance put in their way) to make sure your kid is cared for, reassured that they’re secure and comfortable in their settings and that they have enjoyable and delight in their time there, whilst discovering.

As a parent, they are consistently there at the end of the phone or on EY Log to reassure you and put your mind at ease on any worries you may have, however big or small! I truly sense confident that whatever mood I leave my little one in at drop off that he is in secure hands and that he’ll be looked after for the time he is there. Thank you Flying Start! I would never put my kids anywhere else.

She loves going to childcare centre and sometimes doesn’t want to leave! All of the team are incredible and just so lovely. The food options are excellent. They have been excellent through this pandemic, consistently communicating with you through email and the app. My daughter has been attending flying start since Aug 2019.

We moved from Sussex and struggled to find a setting that matched our expectations from our setting there. We were over the moon to find Flying Start @ Cornwall College – Camborne. It was spotless, tidy, plenty of toys, materials and facilities. The team are welcoming and well‑informed about their role in our kid’s development and provide assistance with things such a behaviour management and potty training. During the pandemic both kids were provided with discovering opportunity ideas and emails. The updates between childcare centre and home is excellent. The use of the app helps give a glimpse into our sons activities throughout the week. Our son has attended the childcare centre since he was eight months old, he is nearly three now.

After spending most of her life in lockdown we wanted her to start childcare centre, but it was a big step for us. We didn’t need to worry, all the team at the childcare centre seem so attentive and my daughter so far seems to really delight in her time there. My daughter has only recently started childcare centre.

Both my 3 year old and 8 month old are cheerful within the childcare centre and the team couldn’t be more welcoming and welcoming. The manager is so lovely and consistently more than cheerful to help where she can! My girls have attended the childcare centre since September and have settled amazingly and their development speaks for itself since beginning childcare centre. Couldn’t think of a better place or better people to leave my kids with! Two cheerful, healthy kids who are well-fed, comforted and loved at home and within childcare centre! Absolutely remarkable setting!

He had never left me and then lockdown happened so a total mummy’s boy. He cried for the first few weeks and the team were incredible and patient with him. He only cried when I said bye. The observations reassured me he was cheerful and playing. He spoke about new friends and his key worker often. Although he doesn’t talk much at childcare centre, he consistently tells me about his day. This week he actually felt confident to eat his lunch there, as he has been reluctant despite the efforts of the team. The team are all very well‑informed. When viewing the childcare centre I asked them many questions on safeguarding, the curriculum, FGM, radicalisation and much more (I previously worked in a childcare centre) and they answered all my questions in full and I knew my son would be secure. The childcare centre is consistently well-stocked, and engaging. I hope in the future my son will be taken out for a walk on a little trip as he still hasn’t yet. Keep up the great work! My son started in April 2021.

My little boy loves going and consistently comes out with a smile on his face. He has come on leaps and bounds with their care and dedication. They have coped brilliantly throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and stayed open which has been a God send when I’ve had to work. Fab team. Amazing childcare centre and team.

The site is excellent and all of the team are exceptional! I highly suggest this childcare centre. They do such a variety of activities, my girls consistently come home buzzing at the end of the day and consistently look forward to going back. My girls absolutely adore Flying Start.

My daughter absolutely loves it there and is consistently so excited to see everyone. Can’t praise them enough! Thank you ladies. Amazing childcare centre, everyone is so welcoming, welcoming and excellent with the kids.

My daughter enjoys going to pre-school and has made some lovely friends. She is discovering so much and has grown in self‑assurance a lot! Flying Start is a fantastic childcare centre providing incredible childcare.
