My daughter has come on loads whilst being here. Thank you to all the team and students! Will be sad for her to leave! This childcare centre is remarkable!

She has gone from a little girl who used to by shy and not talk, into a confident little lady who can communicate with you and now makes friends with kids her own age. This is a big stepping stone for when she starts school.
The team at the childcare centre are fab. They are so supportive, offer advice and consistently wish you a great day when you are heading into work. They are also flexible if there is an emergency.
I think it shows how relaxed my daughter is at this childcare centre when she is asking to go to childcare centre and when she talks about the childcare centre team being her ‘best friends’.
I would suggest this place to anyone who is wanting to develop their kids before school! My husband and I cannot thank this childcare centre enough for how much they have helped develop our daughter.

November 15, 2024 at 4:36 amThe quality of the care we have received has been outstanding from the day our eldest kid started to the present day with our 2 year old who has attended five full days each week since she was 11 months old. The healthy home cooked meals, links to the local community, opportunities to develop across all aspects of their discovering, parental consultations and updates through daily diaries and newsletters, have shown us as parents how much they are willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for the kids to ensure they receive the best possible start to their education. The owner/manager’s clear drive and vision for the childcare centre is visible through how hard the team work as a team. We think the world of the team and deciding to send our kids to First Steps has been the best decision ever. The remarkable team at First Steps Childcare centre have been truly incredible with both of our girls (aged 5 and 2) and have become part of our extended family.

My daughter loves going and is consistently talking about the enjoyable things she has done while I’m at work. I cannot suggest this childcare centre enough.

February 21, 2025 at 12:33 pmThe team are consistently lovely and very attentive, and she has grown fond of a few members of team, in particular. They often run stay-and-playtime sessions and have organised some excellent events for families to get involved in, including Christmas and the Jubilee, which were both lovely for the kids and adults! I trust the team completely to take great care of my little girl! My daughter has been attending First Steps childcare centre for 18 months and loves it.

March 13, 2025 at 4:28 amBoth of my kids attend, one for breakfast club and school drop off and the other for childcare. My little one struggled to settle in to her last childcare centre, so we moved her to First Steps. She has settled in really well and now thoroughly enjoys going and playing with her friends and is consistently eager to tell us what they’ve been up to. The team are all very welcoming and very supportive. We have required extra assistance with speech and language and all of the childcare centre team have been on board and her key worker has liaised with Speech Therapy.
The team know my kids and their personalities very well and offer extra assistance to them when needed. The kids do a wide variety of activities and make very great use of local facilities. The rooms are well resourced and the activities changed daily/ weekly/ seasonally, which the kids are also involved in. They are served hot home cooked, balanced meals and snacks. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this childcare centre.

April 19, 2025 at 4:54 pmMy daughter started this childcare centre when she was a baby and she will be transitioning to infants this September. This isn’t just a childcare centre, far from it. The team are like a family. The adore they have for the kids in their care astounds me. Every individual kid is given the same devotion and time as the next. They respect individuality whilst trying to encourage growth and autonomy. Individual needs are respected, and nothing is too much trouble. The lengths this childcare centre went to during covid was nothing short of outstanding. Not once did they have to close due to covid.
Their rooms are remarkable and watching the theme change along with the seasons is lovely. The activities, such as forest school, are incredible, and the ideas they have for the likes of Easter, Halloween etc just blow the kids’s minds.
If I had another kid that needed to go to childcare centre, this place would, without a doubt, be the place they went.
