November 6, 2024 at 9:53 amThe team are outstanding and our daughter has become very attached to them all. She loves going and has really fitted in well, they have also done wonders in boosting her self‑assurance. The team provides term updates on what kids will be discovering and how you can help and be involved. The facilities are excellent for little ones and our daughter especially loves the garden. Feedback is provided regularly at pickup and in a more formal report card at the end of each term. They have also been really accomodating with increasing days as my job became more demanding. It’s fantastic to know she is going somewhere where she is so cheerful and well looked after! We’ve had a stellar journey at First Step Day childcare centre.

January 1, 2025 at 1:23 amThe team have all been energetic, bright, truly engaged with the kids, playful and attentive and our kid has got on with all of them. Facilities are great and the garden a blessing, they get the kids out there whenever possible, which the kids all adore, and they can mingle between age groups there, which was excellent for our kid. The Manager and the team are consistently very open to chat about anything and are flexible and supportive. There’s a lovely family vibe, with kids and parents meeting outside childcare centre hours too. The only slight negatives are several team moving on (for positive career progression), which is sad for our kid, and part-time/additional hours fee structuring we found slightly awkward. We deeply appreciate having such a fantastic childcare centre on our doorstep, have actively recommended it to multiple other families, and will be excited to send our baby there too! Our kid has been at First Step for 2.5 years, from the baby room to toddler room to pre-school, and it has been fantastic throughout.

My son has been given a fantastic, enjoyable, attentive start to his school life and are confident this will reflect on his progression into his next school. The childcare centre has a cheerful, light quality that is also extremely well-considered.

May 23, 2025 at 12:53 pmI felt that we had excellent value for money sending our kids to this childcare centre. Our kid loved the outdoor area, which is very spacious and they also had access to lots of activities, as well as traditional games and toys. Our kid also enjoys storyteller sessions every Thursday, which we thought was a nice touch that we hadn’t seen other nurseries provide. Most importantly, there were so many opportunities to get feedback from the team on the development of our kid, daily feedback also using a updates book and meeting every term to update us about her development. The team are all very lovely and would consistently be available to give daily feedback. Our kid also had daily diaries, which went between home and the childcare centre. The childcare centre also did a newsletter every few months as well so my partner and I sense very well informed and connected. It has been an outstanding journey!
