First Friends Day Nursery - Barford St Martin

All three of my children have attended First Friends from being a baby until school age. I would recommend it to anyone! They are conveniently located and have great big rooms (and sleep areas)….but best of all are the staff. They are down to earth, creative and friendly and so caring: really getting to know your child on a personal level. Many times I have asked for their experienced advice and perspective, and all my children have been happy and settled there. The management are always contactable and happy to incorporate extra sessions if you need, and they do lots of interesting classes and trips when they can.

My little boy has been attending First Friends since January. We chose First Friends because it is local to us and many people we know who attend gave us great reviews which they have definitely lived up to so far. He used to go to a childminder where there were only a small number of children and so I was worried about putting him in somewhere where I thought he wouldn’t get the one to one support he had, but I did not need to worry, all the staff members are lovely and friendly and very accommodating.

I have had real struggles with getting him to eat anything at home but they have worked wonders and he now eats most of his meals there and has even tried foods I’d never get him to even look at.

My little boy loves First Friends, the staff are so friendly and warm and have really got to know him so well over the last 9 months. It has a very family feel where everyone knows and welcomes us each time. He has seconds of his dinner most days so no complaints there! They always have interactive fun activities going on throughout the day and play outside a lot, every time he goes he comes home happy and messy which is exactly what we wanted for him! The manager knows all the children so well and is great with them, they are also very flexible and there to help if we ever need anything. We would highly recommend First Friends Barford to anyone. We have been so happy with our choice.

My son has been at First Friends Day Nursery – Salisbury since January 2020 and he loves it there. I cannot fault the care and attention of the staff and the vast range of activities they arrange for the children from indoor crafts, cooking, French lessons to outdoor play, forest school days and puddle jumping. The past year has been challenging for all and throughout the Covid-19 pandemic the nursery have been incredible at ensuring extra safety measures for all at the nursery and enabling a sense of normality for our children. My little girl has been going to nursery since she was almost ten months old and always receives a high level of care. She is always so happy to go to and happily talks about her friends but also the adults who look after her as they really know her inside out! I absolutely adore seeing what she’s been up to on the app and also on the parent page on Facebook. Thank you all for helping her grow into the happy and sassy little girl she is!

We are really happy with First Friends. I cannot speak more highly of the team. My son receives the extra care and attention, and nothing seems too much to ask. I can go to work and not have to worry and that’s down to the team at Barford. My son’s keyworker always gives very informative feedback and she has developed a special bond with my son. Thank you to the team for looking after my son. He absolutely loves it there and that makes his mummy and daddy very happy. He has come on leaps and bounds with all of your input.

Wow, what a wonderful nursery – we highly recommend First Friends based on our experience. Our daughter has been incredibly happy since day one – she loves the team, who are warm and friendly, and happily bounds into Nursery at drop off every morning. I believe this is a testament to the love and care from the team and the fun activities on offer. Lately, we have had spooky Halloween themed cards and crafts and an individually decorated pumpkin (still displayed at home!). We recently had a newborn and the nursery made us a lovely welcome baby card which was so thoughtful. Spending time outdoors is really important to me and the outdoor facilities are excellent with free flow access for toddlers and lots of time spent outside daily. The nursery also regularly take the children out on walks around the local area. Very happy with the ethos, environment and personal touch.

My daughter has been with First Friends Day Nursery – Barford St Martin since she was 10 months old and is now 3, she’s come on leaps and bounds since being there and absolutely loves it there.
She has made some lovely little friends, experienced lots of different activities including forest school. She has had support with learning to walk, eat independently and potty training too. She’s always making and doing lots of things so comes home happy and full and talks about school and her friends all the time.
Staff are caring and supportive of my child and we love the nursery so much we are sending our newest daughter there next year.
She also loves the food made from scratch there as she often asks for second helpings. A great little place for little learners.

We have just moved to the area and our little girl has settled into First Friends incredible well. And that is down to the loving, kind support from all the staff.
Choosing the right nursery to leave our daughter was of the highest importance and we are so lucky to have found First Friends.
