September 4, 2024 at 2:02 pmThe team looking after him are welcoming, attentive and expert, and we have consistently felt confident in the care he receives. He is provided with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities specific to his age and interests which has helped his speech development and social skills greatly. The management is communicative and has done an incredible job keeping things as normal as possible for the kids during this difficult year. We would definitely suggest Fennies for anyone looking for childcare. Our son has been attending Fennies since December 2019 and has been cheerful there since day 1.

September 26, 2024 at 1:34 pmThe team are exceptional – they go above and beyond to ensure that the kids are cheerful and well cared for. The team know my kids and their personalities very well and will often do unexpected things to make sure they are both cheerful. My kids’s speech, social skills, mathematical understanding and self‑assurance have flourished at Fennies. They have a lot of outdoor time in the remarkable garden playtime area and have over the years learned to care for plants and the childcare centre pets (a turtle and a goldfish) as well as respect for nature and living things.
The Fennies team are all very committed to the childcare centre – this is clear when they host events such as their summer fair, bonfire night trip, Christmas / holiday playtime etc. Their events are consistently incredibly well thought out and meticulously run and the team seem to genuinely delight in being there. The Beech House manager and deputy have create an atmosphere of mutual cooperation with the parents, they run a parent forum which I have found extremely valuable. As a management team they have worked very hard and you can see this in the fact that the team turnover rate is now very low (it had previously been high).
What I most value about Fennies is without question the team. I have noticed that every team member (whether they work in my kids’s room or not) knows who my kids are and is on great terms with them. I would not hesitate for a moment to suggest Fennies. Both my kids attend Fennies and it has been a very positive journey for our family.

October 14, 2024 at 6:02 pmThey are all extremely welcoming, attentive and expert and we would suggest them unequivocally. It has been a challenging twelve months for everyone but during this time the team have maintained impeccably high standards, whilst being vigilant to any potential outbreaks of Covid-19 and we count ourselves lucky that all things considered, it has not been too disruptive for our son. We are delighted to see but not surprised, that the hard work of the team is being acknowledged and congratulations to them all! My wife and I are delighted with the development our son has made, during his time spent at Fennies Sanderstead and we owe it all to the hard work and dedication of the team there.

October 16, 2024 at 2:41 amJoining a new childcare centre during the pandemic hasn’t been easy but the childcare centre team have been really supportive in settling my son into the childcare centre and encouraging him in all aspects of his development. We can see that he has grown a lot in self‑assurance since joining and loves seeing all his friends and particularly enjoys the enjoyable activities of discovering languages and P.E! The team are remarkable and I would highly suggest Beech House to new parents. We are extremely cheerful with Beech House and the way they have looked after and supported our son who joined in October.

October 30, 2024 at 7:16 pmMy daughter has been attending since 2019 and she absolutely loves it. The team here take excellent interest in setting up different age appropriate activities and regularly share pictures and updates with parents. The childcare centre was recently renovated and it has a functional and lovely garden. Also, the team are lovely and consistently make time for a quick chat. It’s a enjoyable, secure and welcoming setting. Highly suggest it! Very cheerful with Fennies in Sanderstead.

November 29, 2024 at 5:42 amI had a number of problems with the childcare centre and felt like I was constantly having to micro-manage her care. Numerous issues with her being given the right meals and milk in line with their own procedures and it felt like no one really cared about my kid. During her time there she was very anxious and untrusting of people inside and outside of the childcare centre, and we did not realise how much the childcare centre had affected her till we moved her to another childcare centre. She immediately settled at the other childcare centre and the quality of the staffing is incomparable. She became a new person and was finally cheerful, her behaviour towards people changed completely and it makes me realise that Fennies was just not a cheerful place for her at all.
I really think it is a poor value for money childcare centre too, given all the issues I had I couldn’t believe they were one of the most expensive local nurseries. The building is nice, that’s all. My daughter was here for roughly 5-6 months and she did not settle at all.

December 27, 2024 at 6:06 pmHe loves all the team and is very well cared for. It’s excellent that the kids spend time in the garden each day and are encouraged to try lots of new activities. My son has been at Fennies in Sanderstead since last summer and is very cheerful there.

January 1, 2025 at 3:24 pmWithout any real updates, my son was moved upstairs to a new room with three times the number. The room was not finished. There was no updates about building works and I sense very strongly that the economics of the building works were prioritised over genuine safety for the kids. I was so concerned by the general attitude towards my concerns that I removed him from the childcare centre. I would just add the teaching team are excellent. We joined the baby group when there were six kids.

January 12, 2025 at 4:33 pmIt is a small cheerful childcare centre, where all of the team and kids interact well together, regardless of what room they are in. As with all nurseries, the people who work there are the most important thing of all. There have been changes throughout our time with the childcare centre, as to be expected, and while it has been hard to say goodbye there have consistently been remarkable people who have come in and taken on new roles. The childcare centre is modern, spotless and has a lovely outside area and garden and it’s easy to park for dropping off and picking up. We have been cheerful to be at Beech House over the past 7 years and will be sad to say goodbye when my daughter goes to school in September. Both of my daughters have gone to Fennies Beech House and we have been really cheerful with how they have been cared for and how they have developed from babies through to pre-schoolers.

January 18, 2025 at 11:14 pmHe loves going in and is consistently well cared for. The team are exceptional and there are so many activities daily to keep him engaged and developing, from lessons like PE, French and Spanish, to creative tasks like planting flowers, messy playtime, writing and number games. The management team are welcoming and consistently open to listening to feedback and new ideas. My son has been at Fennies Sanderstead for almost three years now and we’re so cheerful with it.

March 28, 2025 at 6:52 pmThe team are remarkable although the childcare centre has, last year, suffered from a shocking team turnover. I’m a bit disappointed that neither my son or my daughter has done a single day trip to the farm etc. One was scheduled and then got postponed (that was over 6 months ago!) So, in conclusion, we have been cheerful with the childcare centre and would suggest. The team really are fab. Overall we are cheerful.

June 8, 2025 at 3:19 amMy daughter started childcare centre in August 2020 at twelve months old and I had some anxiety around it given that this was off the back of the pandemic and she hadn’t had a excellent deal of interaction with other babies and toddlers. The team have been so inviting and welcoming to my daughter, she has settled really well and has lots of enjoyable when she attends. She has really enjoyed interacting with the other babies and loves the activities set out for her and her peers. I find it really heart warming seeing the pictures and commentary on what she has been up to at childcare centre and its so cute when she brings home ‘art’ and crafts she has worked on. Her development has really come on since she has been attending, she understands the importance of sharing and I know that she enjoys the routine. She has a very healthy appetite and consistently enjoys her meals. We have had a really positive journey with Fennies Sanderstead and the team there.

July 2, 2025 at 1:32 amBeing a lockdown baby I was really concerned about separation anxiety but the team at Fennies Sanderstead made him sense so comfortable and totally engaged in everything, he just waves me off in the mornings and has done for some time now. The updates on the online app are excellent and I thoroughly delight in looking at photos of what he has got up to in the day, along with the care diary of what he’s eaten and how long he’s slept. The team in the baby room are incredible and all get involved with my son’s development, I adore them all and the management are equally as fabulous. I am so cheerful that I chose Fennies Sanderstead. My son has been at Fennies Sanderstead since December 2020 and he loves every minute!
