December 29, 2024 at 1:36 pmI think this has given the team more self‑assurance in working at the location. I have been impressed by the manager and those employed at the childcare centre to improve the standards but saddened that they (in my humble opinion) did not receive the assistance earlier. I will admit to having no faith in the strategic management of the childcare centre group but this does not reflect on the team based at the childcare centre.
On an individual basis, our kid loves going to the childcare centre and has shown some excellent signs of development which we can directly attribute to the childcare centre.
There will consistently be things that can improve and if the small things can be improved then this childcare centre will have our assistance for the foreseeable. The childcare centre has taken some excellent steps towards improving safety at the childcare centre with a huge improvement in procedural matters.

December 31, 2024 at 10:16 pmOfsted inspected Fennies Raynes Park in October 2022 – due to concerns raised to them by parents and deemed it inadequate – the lowest rating possible – because of safeguarding concerns and multiple other issues.
Since we were there (March 2022 – Dec 2022) there were a number of concerning issues:-
1. Kids turned away at the door – due to team shortages – on over 20 occasions.
2. Babies room was shut for almost two weeks – due to staffing issues. Parents left with no childcare options.
3. Multiple allegations from parents regarding concerning behaviour of team towards kids.
In their updates to parents, management tried to brush serious failures in safeguarding processes as simple updates mishaps. The poor interaction between team and kids as “some team were acting like deer in the headlights” during the inspection. No accountability taken, not a secure place. We, unfortunately, had to take the hard decision to pull our son out in December 2022 for his own safety.

January 25, 2025 at 8:25 pmWe decided to stick with the childcare centre during the recruitment issues mentioned below due to the incredible room leader and other team in the toddler room – my son is highly cheerful here and enjoys a hugely varied range of activities both indoor and out. The childcare centre now has a truly family sense with minimal team turnover. My 2 year old has been here since the childcare centre opened last year – the new manager is remarkable and has ironed out initial opening issues.
