Excel Kids Day Nursery

The staff are friendly and accommodating to the needs of individual children. They are always smiling and welcoming which makes the children feel much more positive about going even when they don’t want to leave their parents. They are constantly improving the facilities too. All in all a great place for children and I feel completely confident in leaving my child knowing that when I return she is all smiles and stories of her day.

I just have to say what a brilliant nursery this is and I’m really happy to have my 2 children looked after by Excel Kids. I always feel comfortable leaving my children at the nursery. Really glad they can boost the staff members to feel confident in enforcing the Covid safety measures.

Excel Kids Day Nursery is a truly wonderful nursery. Both of my children attended and attend this setting, and I could not be happier. My son comes home happy and content and has a massive smile on his face when I drop him off in the morning, which means the absolute world when leaving your child somewhere for 10 hours a day. The staff are so attentive and genuine in their investment in the children – so caring and loving. The app is great and provides all the updates you would need. I am very happy with this nursery and would highly recommend the setting to any parent.

My daughter started going to Excel in Aug 2020. Despite being part-time i.e. 2 days a week (22hrs), she is well supported by the staff and activities to make her feel a part of the full-time group. She is a fussy eater but the staff always take time to encourage and help her try new food items. She often gets upset at the start of her nursery days but the staff calm her down tactically within a few minutes. The best thing about Excel is the app, where the daily routine of the child and overall learning journey is shared regularly with parents. I am glad I chose Excel for my child and I would highly recommend it to other local parents.

Excel is a very caring and engaging setting. I have seen my baby grow and flourish amongst loving practitioners. I have been impressed by her early learning, from speaking, counting, and simply socialising positively with others. Potty training has been really well handled and all practitioners are very encouraging and supportive when it comes to the learning milestones ahead.

This is a wonderful nursery. My children have been attending the nursery now for over a year and they have always been happy. The staff are great, so kind and thoughtful. Parents’ concerns are listened to and acted upon. They are happy to treat the children as individuals and are as adaptable as possible to different schedules that a child may have. The activities and trips out are very engaging and my children are coming home excited and learning so much. I’ve been so pleased with the nursery and the staff and feel very pleased when I send my children in and they happily wave back to me and walk in. Well done to all the staff who make it so special.

Overall my child is happy and cared for and I completely trust she is in safe hands. They do lots of fun games and activities that lend themselves to good development.
Verbal modelling isn’t exemplary and often our child comes home with incorrect pronunciations which is worrying. And general communication with parents sometimes feels vague, especially on the amount of key workers my child has had, which often changes without us knowing.
There is also an at the door collection policy which I appreciate is a hangover from COVID but in years of them being there I have been inside 2 or 3 times, so feels like a bit of mystery as to what’s going on.

We like the Nursery very much! All members of staff and management are great! Our child attends the Nursery for over a year and a half now. They all go above and beyond, and our child feels happy there. He has a minor speech delay and since he moved to the Toddler’s room we cannot express our gratitude to the key workers for the progress he made. He goes and comes home with a smile and shares new words he learnt. I have progress meetings regularly, pictures of everyday activities and detailed information on how his day was. Children are paired with key workers they go along. Parent’s view is taken into account and every step is discussed prior to implementation. We feel the members of staff as an extended family and work together for the best of our child.

We’ve only been with the nursery a short time, but so far we’re very pleased. It’s well organised, there is good communication from staff and, most of all, our son seems very happy there. The staff are very patient with our son and they take time to make sure he’s making progress and happy.

My son has been at Excel Kids Day Nursery since nine months, he is now turning three years old and is getting ready for preschool. He has truly blossomed during his time at the nursery! Everything from his social skills to his vocabulary have come faster than I imagined. The staff are welcoming to both parents and children and it is easy to address any questions about my son’s day to day learning. He is always looking forward to go to nursery and we look forward to seeing how he grows in the next year.
