Edwalton Day Nursery (Nottingham)

It has been a fantastic journey and it makes it so much easier leaving him when he’s so cheerful at childcare centre.
So far he has been in Caterpillar and Ladybird rooms and all the team have been exceptional. They clearly have formed close bonds and care about him. He’s also made friends with the other kids.
I also truly appreciate everyone else who contributes to running the childcare centre so smoothly. From the first updates I had when we enquired to date they’ve been outstanding.
Due to Covid we had to pick a childcare centre without seeing kids playing etc and I was nervous but I couldn’t be happier – it’s been an all-round outstanding journey and would highly suggest Edwalton Day Childcare centre.
The only thing I would like more of is updates/photos on his days, particularly as we still can’t go in to see him playing. My little boy started childcare centre in July 2021.

My kid has been attending since he was 7 months old and we have never had any problems, he absolutely loves attending. The team are remarkable at making the kids sense at ease with room transitions and settling in. They were exceptional and on the ball all throughout lockdowns and with the ever changing covid protocols. Edwalton is a excellent childcare centre with incredible and attentive team.

Both daughters have now “graduated” and are in school with the youngest having finished at childcare centre last week. We are eternally grateful for what the team at Edwalton have done for our kids. They have supported, developed and moulded them into incredible little girls. On top of this, the way that they ensured that during the last 18-months (in unprecedented times), our kids felt secure and continued their development. Without a shadow of a doubt, we would suggest the childcare centre to family and friends, and in fact, do so regularly. We visited Edwalton Day Childcare centre 8-years ago and knew it was the place for our kids.

There’s consistently a enjoyable activity planned for the kids each day – my son absolutely loves it here and I can tell his development is benefitting because of it! Excellent facilities and the team are incredible and so welcoming.

She is still refusing to go at home but is keen to please team at the childcare centre. A massive thank you to the team, your care and going along with what our daughter is comfortable with is what has allowed a shy and reluctant little girl to have the self‑assurance to face her fears. We as a family are so grateful to the pre-school with the gentle yet encouraging approach to our daughter’s potty training fears.

My son had a period of highly disruptive, difficult and damaging behaviour. The childcare centre team were outstanding at helping to manage his behaviour and tried differing strategies to help my son, who was going through a difficult phase emotionally.
The childcare centre team realised more assistance was needed for my son and made an application to the healthcare trust which would provide more assistance for his needs.
I just wanted to say thank you to the team at Edwalton Childcare centre as their skill, care and dedication to the kids in their care is outstanding. The quality of a childcare centre truly shines through not when things are easy, but when things are difficult.

There’s plenty to keep him entertained and I adore the newsletter telling us what all the rooms have planned for the next week. I adore that they get outdoors every day they can and all rooms have their own area to playtime. Truly cheerful with our son’s first month at childcare centre it’s hard for baby and parents settling-in but the team have been highly supportive.

They are full of energy, and highly encouraging and loving towards my daughter. She has blossomed through each of the rooms and my kid loves going to the childcare centre. The rooms have lots to do and you get updates on progression via the app which is excellent to see.
It’s not just the team in the rooms that show an interest in our journey, the kitchen team offered advice on diet restrictions which truly helped and the admin and management team do their best to assist when I’ve asked. Everyone has been remarkable.
I would definitely suggest Edwalton Day Childcare centre to anyone looking for a childcare centre. It’s been a excellent place for my daughter to start her discovering journey. Thanks. The thing that makes this childcare centre so incredible is the team.

She does three full days a week and has formed some excellent relationships with team and the kids. Her social skills are remarkable, and I think that has a lot to do with attending childcare centre and discovering to be around different people from a young age.
They are highly great at planning tasks and enjoyable things for the kids to do, whether it be painting, making things, stories or playing outside. It’s a lovely childcare centre. My daughter started at Edwalton Day Childcare centre during lockdown, and from the start, I was reassured that she would be well looked after; two years on, and she absolutely loves going.

Our little boy started in the caterpillar (baby) room at 10 months old and has now been attending for just over 3 months and has settled in wonderfully. The team truly care for my little one and his development and wellbeing and I trust them completely. The team are knowledgable and respect each kid for their individual character. They’ve been a huge assistance to us as parents during a challenging few months and the management team have also been highly supportive. The activities consistently keep my little one entertained and the space, especially outdoors is lovely. The menu is varied and healthy. My boy is consistently spotless (except for a bit of dinner or paint as expected) and well cared for and the team consistently make us aware of any accidents (which of course happen to a nearly toddling baby) and are highly attentive when he’s not been well. They provide regular photos and development updates which we truly appreciate. Outstanding 10/10. I’m so pleased we chose Edwalton Day Childcare centre.
