Ducklings Childcare

The team are attentive, attentive and nurturing. My son is currently in the baby room and has been since he was about five months old (he’s now twenty-one months). From the day he started, he has loved going there and has developed in every way far quicker than we expected. The meals served are varied and the team pay close attention to family preferences (low sugar, dairy free or vegetarian etc). I would definitely (and do) highly suggest Ducklings to anyone.

There was a settling-in process to ease her into childcare centre life which helped her settle very quickly. My daughter has attended Ducklings Childcare since Sep 2022. She has a great rapport with all key workers at the childcare centre, happily being handed over to them in the morning with open arms. My daughter is vegetarian and is offered a varied and healthy menu of snacks and meals, which are not overly carb based and offer several flavours and textures of fruit and vegetables. She is also not given any processed sugar. In terms of the curriculum and facilities, they are excellent. Indoors and outdoors, there is plenty of toys and objects for various types of activities to help the kids explore and develop skills. My daughter has blossomed at Ducklings. Even though she can’t form sentences yet, she has already been able to show me a new song she learned. Parents can access info on the kid’s daily activities on an app and monthly development reports. I am very cheerful with the level of service provided.

I wouldn’t want my kids attending any other setting. Ducklings Childcare gives home from home care. All the team make you sense as though you are handing your kid over to a family member, very comforting especially during the settling in sessions. All the meals are cooked from scratch with lots of variety too. When it came to my eldest transition to primary school, the teacher commented that she could have guessed they attended Ducklings as the childcare centre truly prepares the kids for school. Also, one of my kids is being investigated for SEN and the childcare centre have been so supportive and even took time in preparing reports for external clinicians. The setting is full of educational toys and the garden has just been refurbished too! Ducklings Childcare comes highly recommended.

The team at Ducklings care for my son like he is their own, he loves his time there. I have nothing but praise for Ducklings, as a first time Mum returning to work from a year on maternity leave I was understandably worried about leaving my son in someone else’s care but I had nothing to worry about!

They both wanted to go in every day and that tells you something. This is the most ‘family sense’ Nursery that we have ever truly come across.
We have sent to Ducklings Childcare both of our kids and they both couldn’t get enough.
Managers and all team are very welcoming, reliable and very much liked by the kids. You can truly trust that they will comfort your kid in any aspect.

My daughter has been attending for over two years and loves it. Excellent childcare centre in every aspect. She has had excellent, attentive key workers who are so approachable and great with the kids. There is also a variety of team from super young and energetic to more experienced which is a great combination. They have their own kitchen and my daughter mentions the yummy food cooked by the chef. Parents know menus in advance and they are nutritious and varied. The garden has been refurbished recently and it’s huge, with all the areas you would definitely expect like mud kitchen, vegetable patch, etc. The communication with parents is excellent and the management has been very efficient, they consistently reply so quickly and are so supportive. Well worth the extra money compared to all other nurseries around Godmanchester.

Amazing attentive educators, lovely setting. My son loves Ducklings Childcare so much when he comes back home he tells us what he’s been doing and he asks every day to go. It brings peace of mind knowing your kids are well looked after.

Our four-year-old and eleven-month-old go there and we know they are in great hands. My partner and I are very cheerful with Ducklings. They have lovely outside space, they do a range of activities and have a varied menu.

I have been very impressed with the individual attention she has received since starting at the setting. My daughter has been attending Ducklings since September 2022, when she joined the preschool room. She completely loves going and is disappointed on days she cannot attend! All the team are incredibly approachable and hardworking. Monthly reports, daily handovers and effective communication mean that I sense involved with her development and progress made. The activities provided allow my daughter to have a wide range of experiences ready for starting school and for succeeding in life. I have also been particularly impressed with the focus on mental health as well as physical and educational development.
