February 8, 2021 at 12:00 amWe have been really happy with Daisy Chain Childcare Adel – as has our daughter age 1. Our eldest child went to a different employer-provided nursery and we opted for Daisy Chain due to its location, but we couldn’t be happier. The settling in process was really considered, smooth, thoughtful and lots of warm smiles and cuddles. The staff have been super. Communication is good and we love the regular photos, videos and feedback. I like that the nursery is smaller than our previous nursery – it feels like a smaller room with less children and staff works really well. It is better for attachment and consistency.
Logistically it couldn’t be better with our eldest at the nearby primary. It seems there is a community of parents and children – great as the kids may end up going to school together.
One time my daughter had a temperature and I loved that she got lots of cuddles and love from the staff in her room in spite of any covid anxieties they may have had. The only change would be to open half an hour earlier.

February 16, 2021 at 12:00 amThe best nursery for my children, who comes every day with a smile on their faces and enthusiasm to meet the great team. They are learning every single day something new and come back home with a lot of stories about the activities. The team is fantastic. It is evident that they make a lot of efforts to connect with each child in a way that suitable for him. I definitely recommend it to all of my friends and family. We are lucky to be part of this great place.

February 16, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter joined the nursery just before her first birthday and the Imps & Pixies baby room quickly became her new home from home. Thanks to the great team she developed a special bond with her key worker and the other staff in the room and settled very well into nursery life. Unfortunately during the pandemic, the nursery had to close for a couple of months. During the lockdown, my daughter like many children became averse to being away from home, but the team at Imps & Pixies helped to make her return as smooth as possible, and before long it was as if she’d never been away. My daughter has recently transitioned from Imps & Pixies to Sprites, and again the team have gone above and beyond to make this change for my daughter as effortless as possible. Thanks to the team in Imps & Pixies for giving us the best first year of the nursery we could have hoped for, and we’re looking forward to what her time in Sprites will bring!

February 24, 2021 at 12:00 amI have both children at Daisy Chain in Adel and they both have fitted in so well. They are very comfortable with their environment and I feel happy leaving them there to have a great day. The staff are all so friendly when we get there and give each child the same amount of time. It has been difficult with the global pandemic and I was very impressed with how they implemented their new policies. Compared to some other nurseries of people I know, Daisy Chain went above and beyond during this difficult time.

We are always given such a warm welcome by all the staff and get regular feedback about their development and pictures of the creative activities they do. I could not recommend this nursery more!

March 5, 2021 at 12:00 amWe got our son into the nursery when he was about 1 year old and we couldn’t be happier. He has been extremely well looked after and has developed well physically and mentally. The staff at all the stages have been brilliant and made sure that he has moved one stage to another seamlessly. They have been brilliant during COVID. It is a big relief when we know that he will be looked after well at nursery when both of us are working. Every morning he wakes up, the first question he asks is if we are going to nursery and I think there is no bigger compliment than this. We wish them the best of luck.

August 10, 2021 at 12:00 amThe team at Daisy Chain Childcare Adel has been fantastic with my daughter. We moved her to Daisy Chain after hearing excellent feedback from other families whose children attend the nursery. She is looked after so well, never has nappy rash, eats foods she wouldn’t touch at home, and is mastering new skills every week from her social to fine motor skills. Through the activities and lessons, the team takes the time to plan for in advance each day. They always update the ‘tapestry’ app with information, including photos, so we can see what she has been up to and how she is progressing. At the end of each day, they talk us through how her day has been and answer all our questions no matter how ridiculous they are; they are so patient and caring. Our daughter is growing up in a bilingual household, and the nursery is accommodating with this. They have taken the time to learn keywords and phrases that we use in our house, making sure to use them as much as possible.

She loves going and is always happy to be dropped off at daycare thanks to her settling in sessions and done amazing on her first full day of daycare! Couldn’t say anything bad about the staff as they are all lovely and very helpful! I would 100% recommend.

She loves attending and has made great progress in line with her next steps, which are updated regularly. She talks about her key worker and other staff at home and is always excited to see them when we drop her off.

January 4, 2022 at 12:00 amMy child loves going into Daisy Chain Adel every day. We are full-timers, so my child spent just as much time with them as with us over the past year. The staff are kind, caring and supportive. They do varied activities and my child really has a special bond with their key worker. Even if there are issues to raise with the nursery (we all have our own niggles) they are professional, helpful and any changes or updates to be made are prompt and thorough. The staff care about the lives they are shaping and are keen to express their love for my child’s character.
Managing the pandemic, the nursery has been really clear about policy and although there have been one or two cases within the staff, it has been professionally dealt with and I am happy with the level of care taken to minimise disruption wherever possible.

He’s formed good relationships with other children and the staff. They do loads of fun activities with the kids. It has a really nice atmosphere. They give me peace of mind when leaving him to go to work. Well recommended!

March 1, 2022 at 12:00 amWe are so happy that we chose Daisy Chain Adel for our son. He joined at 11-months-old a year ago and he has grown and learnt so much with the help of the staff.
They have been very caring and made sure he had a great time while learning. They have supported him with his curiosity and creativity and he has blossomed.
During the last year, he has grown in confidence and he has mastered new skills including confidently feeding himself using a spoon and a fork.
We have no words to express our gratitude and appreciation.

August 10, 2022 at 12:00 amOur child started in the baby unit at Daisy Chain Childcare in Adel and settled in very quickly. She is happy to be dropped off in the morning and at pick up we are given really good feedback about what she’s been doing that day and how she has got on. The staff are friendly, professional and show genuine care in our child and her development and interests. We get regular updates on the Tapestry app and the activities are varied and fun. We would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery.

March 30, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son started nursery five months ago and he settled in very quickly. On his fifth day there, he was happy to be dropped off. He gives the staff a big smile in the morning when he sees them. The staff are very friendly, caring and professional. They are so good at listening and they are genuinely interested in my son’s development. They have recently organised a parent get-together and it was amazing to see my son’s baby friends and their parents. It was also good to see my son interacting with the staff. June 2, 2023 at 12:00 amDaisy Chain standards have slipped in recent years. Staff turnover seems exceptionally high and the atmosphere is not like it used to be.
Some staff members are still exceptional, but the best key workers keep leaving.
It is not as clean or seemingly as stimulating for the child as it used to be.
It’s a shame as when we sent our first child over 5 years ago, I would have rated it excellent.

June 12, 2023 at 12:00 amCarers in the Elves room are amazing, responsive and kind. Two carers do a wonderful job. There are good facilities both indoors and outdoors plus. There is a range of activities and an online system to give regular online updates.

July 18, 2023 at 12:00 amOur little boy has been at Daisy Chain Adel since he was 11 months and all staff have helped both him and us negotiate some particularly tricky separation anxiety over that time. The children are well looked after and do interesting activities most of the time. They are also outside as much as the weather allows which is great. Admittedly there has been a high turnover of staff over the past year but I believe this is largely due to this being a poorly paid profession in general and with the rising cost of living staff have needed to turn elsewhere to earn enough, it is not a reflection on the nursery. We love Daisy Chain and our son has really flourished under their care.

August 1, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son has been at Daisy Chain Childcare Adel since aged 6 months and we cannot thank all the staff enough for the work they have done for helping our little boy grow into the confident, chatty, happy and playful little toddler he is. Sending him there so young was very hard but they have been really great with us and watching how he has changed from baby to toddler has been amazing and the staff have played a massive part in that. He has just moved from the imps room to the sprites room so his journey will continue for a couple more years and if I am ever asked to recommend a nursery I would say Daisy Chain Childcare Adel every time.

August 8, 2023 at 12:00 amWe have had a wonderful experience this year with our daughter starting in pixies room with her key worker at 14 months. The settling in process was great, the key worker took cues from her and kept us as parents well informed. They’ve done some lovely activities throughout the year and we’ve been kept up to date on the app where they share photos and observations regularly. The pixies team were so knowledgeable and confident and I’m sure this made our daughter feel secure, but also, as the nursery is small I notice that my daughter is familiar with a number of the staff which (I hope!) will make moving to new rooms smoother.
