Coteswood House Pre-School and Day Nursery

Coteswood is wonderful, fantastic, amazing and ‘the best school ever’ according to both my children! I can only sing the praises of the staff and management. Nothing is ever too much. Easy to approach and genuinely a lovely team. Such a wonderfully nurturing environment, helping children in their learning, developing life skills and growing their confidence to ready them for the next stage of learning. The small, intimate setting has made a world of difference to the confidence level of both my children. The setting also enables all staff members to get to know your children, to allow for a more personal touch. The outside space is a beehive of activity and with the added bonus of forest school sessions! In turn, this lends to making this place really something special. I’m so grateful I found Coteswood House.

Best place ever! My daughter was very anxious to go there as had a very bad experience in her previous nursery. Needlessly, she loved it from day one (so did I), never looked back on her previous poor experience! Nursery staff are very friendly and well educated. My daughter progressed a lot under the care of Coteswood House Pre-School and Day Nursery, she gained confidence, learned all that a 4-year-old possibly could. It’s almost a year now since she went to primary school but still remember all of the fantastic team! Each time we are passing by the nursery, she is saying how much she misses all and everyone.

Coteswood House is a fantastic nursery. After visiting a few other nurseries in the area, we were blown away with the facilities provided by Coteswood and it’s so much more intimate than all the others we considered. The class sizes are small, and as such, the staff really get to bond with your child. My son joined when he was 2 years old and struggled with his speech, only saying the odd word when he first joined. A year on and we’re in disbelief at how well he’s progressed, not just with his speech (he’s now a little chatterbox!), but with all his education, people skills and daily activities. The standard of education at Coteswood far exceeds the other nursery’s we looked at, and I’m so glad we chose to send him there. He also loves the forest school sessions run by the nursery, which was one of the things that initially drew us to Coteswood. Couldn’t recommend it any more!

Excellent standard of early years education. Staff are warm, friendly, communicative and have an outstanding open door policy.
My daughter was initially only registered for a couple of afternoons per week. After a month she was there four full days because she enjoyed her time so much at Coteswood House Pre-School and Day Nursery.
They operate “free play” and encourage children to be open-minded which I think is amazing. I don’t believe in conformance at such a young, vital age when little minds are just exploring absolutely everything.
Could not recommend Coteswood House enough. We have such fond memories and with a beautiful, soft approach to early years learning I will always be grateful for the staff who encouraged my daughter and built up her confidence, resilience and readiness for primary school.

I have had children at Coteswood House Pre-School and Day Nursery for five years now and will have another one starting in September 2022. There isn’t a more caring setting anywhere. Our middle child has been incredibly supported by the team with his reluctance to speak. It’s like a home-from-home and the staff care for the children as if they are their own. Our youngest can’t wait to start! 11/10 wouldn’t be enough!

I was nervous about sending my youngest to nursery as he was a very clingy child and lockdowns obviously made that worse. I allowed my son to choose the nursery himself so we visited six and I went on how he felt and acted etc. while we were there and when we left! Well……he didn’t want to leave Coteswood House Pre-School and Day Nursery the first time we went to look around which was a great sign to me! He loved every second there and I could not believe just how much he did there including an amazing forest school! I can genuinely recommend this place and have to many people before now.

Both my children attend or have attended Coteswood House Pre-School and Day Nursery. My daughter attended for a year and a half and in that time made such a special bond with her teachers. My son only attends one day a week but he absolutely loves it.
As they are such a small nursery I feel that there is that real personal touch. I felt like I got to know the staff and that I could really rely on them whenever I needed, with no judgment only support. From forgetting snacks and lunch to help with admissions. They really are the most amazing team.

Amazing staff, amazing setting. Always went above and beyond. Kept in contact ever since. It’s not just a preschool for your children, the staff become family. For which me and my daughter are very grateful for. Highly recommend.

My child loved this nursery and learnt so much. I would recommend this nursery to everyone. They always made learning fun and every day she would come back home full of beans about her day. Thank you for everything and keep up the great work. It was always so lovely when I picked up my daughter to see so many happy children excited to learn.

My son goes to Coteswood House Pre-School and Day Nursery and he loves it there. Holidays are difficult for us as he keeps asking why can’t he go to nursery. It just shows how much he likes it there. I would definitely recommend this nursery. The staff are amazing, always accommodating especially with the last-minute extra hours. They are kind, pleasant at the same time I could see how they try to help the children to be independent. Thank you all for making those lovely kids smile and there is nothing more we would like to see as parents.
