Corner House Nursery Spylaw

He has made great friends and does a lot of different activities. The outdoor space is excellent. My son really enjoys childcare centre here and likes the team.

My son has come on wonderfully in terms of language, discovering, focus, self‑assurance and social skills. Older kids are encouraged to be independent but aren’t unsupervised. The kids are occupied throughout the day with a variety of activities: outdoor playtime; indoor exercise playroom; discovering through enjoyable eg numbers and measuring via cooking; dedicated key worker time; smaller groups for discovering; storytime (at the end of the day, the team do not “clump” different rooms together, the kids are kept in their own rooms/garden until everyone is picked up); and the occasional trip to the zoo/supermarket/theatre etc.
He often tells me he’s had “the best day ever” when I pick him up!
The team are genuinely interested in the kids and their development and are compassionate, thoughtful, experienced and clearly delight in what they do. He loves his educators, his friends, the food, and all the activities. We are delighted. The team are attentive, compassionate, and have consistently been 100% approachable.

In the Corner Nursery, everybody takes care of my daughter and even she does not speak English, she was welcomed.

Our eldest started P1 this summer, confident and prepared which I am in no doubt is due to the tremendous assistance and encouragement of the team. Our youngest has been slow to talk and team have taken the care and time to help with his speech. We have consistently found the team very approachable for anything we needed to discuss and attentive and attentive in their approach to our kids – I cannot praise them highly enough. Both kids loved their rooms; the garden; the activities and the trips. They frequently don’t want to leave at the end of the day! Both of our kids have enjoyed their time at Corner House Spylaw Road.

The team are fantastic, the atmosphere is inviting, cheerful and attentive and the facilities and surroundings are ideal for young kids to develop and thrive in, from the baby room up to the pre school room. The use of external parties to run weekly classes for the kids is also excellent.

Without exception, the team are inviting, attentive and supportive. Our kids have been extremely cheerful at Corner House. I have no doubt that the self‑assurance we see growing in them has been shaped by the positive, secure and loving childcare centre setting provided by the team. Corner House at Spylaw Road provides an outstanding standard of care.

The team are remarkable – so attentive, committed and interested in the needs and development of each kid. Highly recommended! My son loves this childcare centre, and I’m extremely cheerful to send him there.

I would also expect a sensory room for the babies and toddlers and I most definitely would expect a foreign language e.g Spanish to be taught to the babies/toddlers.

There are other nurseries in the vicinity which offers these things at the same price so I hope Corner House look into this. I really like this childcare centre however my daughter is in the baby room and I would appreciate far more weekly trips out with the babies and toddlers as oppose to once a month if that- I would expect these regular trips to take place given the amount of fees we pay.

They clearly value getting to know him and providing him opportunities that expand his understanding and journey. He spends lots of time outdoors which he loves. The team are remarkable and clearly care about him. I know he is secure, cheerful and stimulated at Corner House Spylaw. My son loves his day at childcare centre.
