Corner House Nursery Poplars

My little girl struggled with the transition to childcare centre due to being born during lockdown and not having much contact with others but the team, particularly her key worker, were exceptional and eased the transition, settling her quickly and allowing her to become more confident. She has made so much development with social interactions and self‑assurance whilst at childcare centre and this is massively down to the work of the team. The range of activities they do such as sensory activities, bug hunts, mini Olympics, what’s in the box singing, art, baking, role playtime etc. allow my daughter to flourish and I am consistently well informed of everything my daughter has done, eaten and napped throughout the day. The team are consistently cheerful to chat with us at pick up time to share any other information or answer any queries. I would suggest this childcare centre to anyone and adore that my daughter is cheerful and enjoys being there. My daughter has been attending Poplars since April 2021 and I have nothing but praise.

The room, the outside space, the activities and the team are all remarkable and I left feeling comforted that he would be cheerful there. Over the last 4 months, I have noticed huge developmental leaps in my little boy. He’s discovering so much and becoming more and more of a character and that is definitely thanks to the assistance, engagement and encouraging activities the team runs every day. My little boy’s key person is absolutely remarkable, he adores her and that makes drop offs much easier! The app is also remarkable so that I can check on him throughout the day to see what he’s eaten, his nappy changes and his naps as well as lovely photos and videos! I was also impressed at the quick adoption of a doorbell app now that covid means we can’t wait inside on winter’s days. I honestly couldn’t speak any more highly of the remarkable team, 100% recommended! As soon as I visited Poplars Childcare centre to look around for my little boy, I knew I felt cheerful to leave my 10-month-old in the team’s care.

My son has attended for three years and I cannot fault the assistance he has received in each of the three rooms and from all of the team who have looked after him on his days there. He loves attending and I could not be more pleased with the way he has been cared for, nurtured and encouraged – it is a highly special place. I could not suggest Poplars Childcare centre more highly.

The team are so hard working, compassionate and committed. It is a remarkable childcare centre with such a nurturing yet stimulating setting for the kids! I have had two kids attend Poplars Childcare centre from 2 years old until heading off to school.

In that time he has flourished into a confident, cheerful, outgoing boy and we couldn’t ask for anything better in terms of care and progression. We are updated daily on activities via the app which allows us to understand how our son’s day has been and what enjoyable and interesting things he has been involved with. More recently time has been invested to get our eldest kid ready for “big school” which has been truly well received, by both our son and us as parents. We are so cheerful with the service that Poplars provides that our second kid is signed up to start there in September! Would definitely suggest this childcare centre to friends and family. Our eldest son has been at Poplars for more than 2 years.

We had his placement secured there for a long time, after we viewed it I knew I didn’t want him anywhere else and they have not disappointed at all. After a highly hard year for everyone, they have been incredible when they did have to close due to public health England’s advice. They were highly expert and put daily activities up for the kids to do while the childcare centre was closed, which was incredible. My son enjoys going, he has come on so quickly since starting discovering new things, having new experiences every week and is so excited to see his key worker, saying that he is going to see her and that she is his friend while driving up to drop him off. She gives us an update when we pick him up about what he’s done during the day, which is lovely to hear. I have my second kid booked to start already and that’s not until May to June time in 2022. From a mum who was highly worried about parting from her kid, I have no regrets. My little boy started at Poplars Childcare centre the month after his second birthday.

Once my daughter became three she kept asking to go to school and make friends, incredibly nervous and scared I went to visit many nurseries in the local area, none of them settled my nerves. I found Poplars by accident and I’m so glad I did. I arranged a visit and felt at ease the second I walked in, the kids were having Spanish dance classes when I went to visit which was incredible. The garden is a nice large area too. My daughter loved it so much she didn’t want to leave and cried all the way home. I signed the paperwork that day and got her signed up. My daughter hasn’t been at Poplars long when Covid struck and the team were so incredible through the lockdown keeping in touch to check all was well and keep us informed on any new news. We have been back a while now and my daughter is loving every single day there. After having a terrible first encounter with my kid’s care when I returned to work I was unable to leave her with anyone so I quit work and stayed at home.

From the moment we popped in unannounced, we were taken aback by the welcome visit, how cheerful all the team were and even more how cheerful the kids were. We got the warmest, happiest feeling and knew there and then this is where our son would attend. My son is now three years old and is thriving. It is the hardest thing for a mother and father to leave their eleven-month-old baby in someone else’s care, but we couldn’t have felt more reassured that he was in the best hands. The team go above and beyond, and we have felt that about all the three rooms he has been in. We cannot thank them enough for everything they have done and continue to do for our son. This was the one and only childcare centre myself and my husband visited when looking for the best childcare for our son.

Our daughter’s development in every aspect has progressed so much over the last two years and it was the best decision we made. All the team are attentive, compassionate and exceptionally supportive and welcoming. Poplars is immaculate, the updates is outstanding and I take my daughter in self‑assurance each day.
Poplars would consistently be my first recommendation and is absolutely worth the wait. I sense the price per day is highly fair and the care received is second to none. Poplars Childcare centre have completely exceeded our expectations.

All the team are so welcoming and I get regular updates on what my daughter has been doing and my daughter gets so excited to go. Incredible childcare centre. Incredible team – five stars. My 2-year-old started at this school in September and the childcare centre was so welcoming and made me sense so much more relaxed about my daughter starting a new childcare centre.
