Corner House Nursery Gillsland

She attended both the Pooh Corner and the Tigger Room, and we met fantastic team in both rooms. They did a excellent job and really care about the kids. Moreover, we adore the Learning Journal and the entries team recorded.
My only observations are that 1) the Management has been a bit disappointing, given that it was often very difficult (if not impossible) to talk to the manager (moreover, the manager changed twice since we joined, which we found a bit concerning). The Deputy Manager is a superstar though! 2) the Tigger Room cloakroom is a bit messy and pretty full. Our daughter loves to attend this childcare centre.

Our daughter started on 1st September at ten and a half months and she has settled quickly and painlessly. The team are genuinely inviting, attentive and welcoming. It is clear there is an abundance of cuddles in the baby room.
All the kids are spotless, dry, fed, watered and entertained to the best of the team’s abilities as far as we can see. My daughter squeals with excitement sometimes when we arrive which is so reassuring.
It would be nice to see or hear about some outdoor time, but aside from that, we are very cheerful. The team seem pragmatic and deal with incidents appropriately (our daughter has been bitten a couple of times) My husband and I are so cheerful with the team at Corner House.

The minute I walked in to scout it out I knew that it would be the one! This is down to one factor – the team. Down to earth, hardworking, welcoming, honest, loving etc, etc. The team are the reason for this childcare centre having such an influential reputation. First class childcare centre.

Staff are attentive and engaged. Lots of excellent improvements lately. Highly suggest. Fantastic childcare centre.

His self‑assurance has gone from strength to strength and he can’t wait to go each morning. On the occasions where he has had a wobble about me dropping him off, the team are consistently there to help and welcome him, so any tears never last long. The outdoor area is lovely and I adore that he comes home messy, sweaty and covered in dirt, a true sign of a great day! The team are exceptional, everyone consistently welcomes and says goodbye to my son by name even though he’s not in their group. There’s a real, genuinely inviting feeling about the place.

My son will be leaving soon for school but we’re not saying goodbye yet and are signing up to a place for our next one due in the summer we adore it that much. My son has absolutely thrived since joining this childcare centre from another local one.

She has been involved in activities that have provided a wide range of skills and advancement.

We appreciate the level of effort taken to get the kids outside playing together and carrying out tasks. The web portal updates are really enjoyable to see. We have found that our daughter’s discovering and development at the childcare centre is very great.

I’ve rated all aspects as Excellent aside from Management – which I’ve only rated Good, and only because there has twice been a change in management since my son joined. This hasn’t seemed to affect the service provision at all, but it was a tad unsettling – why managers aren’t staying for longer (albeit I appreciate it could be for any number of reasons!). I also only rated value for money as Good, as it’s at the steeper end of the price range compared to other options – but not having had experienced their facilities, it’s impossible for me to know if the price = value or not. The team, in particular, have all been excellent with my son – they’re incredibly inviting and genuinely attentive. It really comes across much more than a job to them and the opportunities for outdoor and messy playtime are plentiful. He’s developed at a excellent pace and looks forward to childcare centre every day he goes! I’ve been very cheerful with the childcare centre provisions for my kid – who’s been there from 12 months to now 28 months.

Staff committed and great relationships with kids. My kids seem to delight in going there. Sometimes sense they could be a little more proactive at drop off if the kids get upset – this was quite stressful when my two were settling in. Overall great. Nice childcare centre with great outside space.

My niece loves going to childcare centre and consistently has lots of exciting stories to tell about her day. The team are all very welcoming and supportive and I have seen lots of improvements in the last few months when I have come to collect her. The Corner House childcare centre is in a lovely area with a excellent outdoor space.

Staff are fully committed and the boys adore attending. It is clear the team care for the kids and the placements have been excellent for their all-round development. Thank you! Delighted with the provision for our two boys.
