Combe Down Nursery

I think the day‑care is extremely well organised and kids do lots of educational sessions while playing different games and enjoying them. Her English has also improved hugely. She is delighted to go to day‑care every day and she adores most of the sessions she gets involved in. My little girl has developed quite quickly ever since she has attended the day‑care.

The holiday times are terrific as they get to venture further afield with smaller groups. We like the size of the day‑care and hope it will stay relatively small. There’ s a wonderful range of sessions throughout the week. All the team are outstanding and welcoming and they all know her name. My little girl truly enjoys attending the day‑care.

A better hand- over at end of day also useful, but minor points. changing the menus each term and sending menus in advance to guardians. It might be made more clear what the kids eat eg. Recent building work means the pre- school room is fab and am sure the continued works will improve the whole day‑care. Lots of interesting sessions for the kids and a lovely garden. Overall, this is a lovely day‑care, with welcoming, useful team.

Happy kids= delighted mummy! Food is cooked on site- my eldest has told me all about the chef. She adores going out to forest school and is so proud of the crafts she brings home( which is a lot!). which is testament to the wonderful relationships they have clearly built with her. She regularly tells me about members of team, how they help her, their hobbies and families etc. Luckily she is a talker so I get to hear all about the strategies they have put in place to make her sense better, the friends she has made, the sessions she does and the songs she learns. The team were patient with her and welcoming. My eldest took longer to settle, as is her nature. Communication with home is outstanding. The team genuinely seem to enjoy her and are invested in her development. My youngest has consistently been truly delighted at drop off and is thriving; she even dropped her afternoon breast milk almost immediately. I have two daughters at Combe Down Nursery, one in the baby room and one in pre- school.

I cannot speak strongly enough of the team. He will be so sad to leave. My little boy adores the day‑care and consistently looks forward to going and made some strong friendships bonds too. My little boy has needed a lot of extra help over the last year and not only have the team provided the assistance, they have gone the extra mile in creating their own resources, teaching Makaton and keeping us regularly updated with his progress. The team at the day‑care are nothing short of outstanding; from the management and carer team to the in- house chef. My little boy started at Combe Down day‑care in the baby room and is now in the preschool room and preparing for school.
