September 18, 2024 at 10:18 pmWe have had our daughter there for 18 months and she has just blossomed. The team genuinely care about her and our whole family and the community is lovely.
She adores going into childcare centre, amazes us daily with what she has learned and is so cheerful and loved there. We’d never go anywhere else! Colchester High School Childcare centre is so fantastic.

October 15, 2024 at 3:35 amThe childcare centre team have given my son and us as a family such excellent assistance since he joined. They have really made the effort to get to know him, what he likes/doesn’t like and helped encourage him when needed. We are consistently welcomed each morning by team with smiles on their faces who genuinely seem to adore the kids and it’s clear it is a very cheerful place. The team are compassionate, reassuring and supportive and my son has formed really lovely relationships with them as well as starting to make some friendships with his peers. The kids participate in a variety of activities indoor and outdoor, they have a lovely childcare centre outdoor playtime area. They also take part each day in a school-type lesson (PE, music, ICT etc) which I sense has really started to prepare him for school life. Thank you to the team at Colchester High School Childcare centre. My little boy can’t wait to go to Colchester High School Childcare centre each morning and the way he has developed and grown since he joined has been fantastic to see.

He never wants to leave and loves his journey so much we increased his days very quickly. They are so attentive and take so much time settling you as a parent as well. The journey my youngest kid has had has been incredible.

November 16, 2024 at 5:28 amIt provided her with a well-rounded education and prepared her both emotionally and academically for school. Being linked to a excellent school also allowed for a seamless transition into reception. Great provisional all year round meant I could continue to go to work knowing she was cheerful and well cared for by the welcoming and expert team. There is excellent daily updates with parents so I consistently felt I was kept up-to-date with knowing how the day had gone, as well as knowing important milestones in development were being met. Highly suggest this childcare centre. My daughter attended this outstanding childcare centre for 2 years.

The team are stimulating and dedicated and very approachable.
Exposure to outdoor trips/visits to higher years is a testament to how far the team to go facilitate enjoyable discovering to these young, bright minds. The childcare centre at Colchester High School Childcare centre is simply outstanding.

Having moved from a different childcare centre, we saw the huge change in our daughter rapidly. Team care about both academical and emotional development of the kids. I couldn’t suggest Colchester High School Childcare centre highly enough. We are really impressed with Colchester High School Childcare centre since my daughter started in September.

January 19, 2025 at 10:23 pmFrom the moment my son started it felt right, and over a year on I couldn’t fault the childcare centre. All of the team are attentive and engaging with the kids. They provide a remarkable range of activities for the kids from foreign languages and cooking to forest school. They provide a secure loving setting for the kids to flourish. My son loves childcare centre and looks forward to going every day. Thank you to all the team! I would highly suggest Colchester High School childcare centre, I moved my son to the childcare centre after having a bad journey with another local childcare centre in Colchester.

February 19, 2025 at 6:13 pmIt is academically very great and in addition to that, it provides a secure, cheerful setting for all the kids.
My kid has been encouraged to become more outgoing and open to new experiences (ranging from trying new foods to joining in the music class) and as a result, he is very confident and willing to explore new things.
The childcare centre educators are outstanding and very attentive and supportive.
I wholeheartedly suggest Colchester High School childcare centre. Colchester High School Childcare centre has exceeded my expectations in all aspects.

My son gets so upset when it is not a childcare centre day, and quite often would rather stay and playtime. In addition to the normal EYFS topics, the childcare centre encourages interaction with the wider community via talks and enrichment mornings/afternoons. A truly fantastic childcare centre that I will miss when my son has to go to school. I am so pleased with all aspects of the childcare centre.

March 27, 2025 at 5:15 pmAfter 6 months at the childcare centre, our little boy is thriving. He’s so cheerful there and goes in smiling and comes out smiling every day. He does a variety of activities, including lessons in PE and music with specialist educators. The interest taken in the kid as an individual is exceptional – I sense the team really know him, understand what he says, know the name of his favourite teddy and know all his interests, and I sense that they genuinely care about his wellbeing and his development. I would suggest this childcare centre to anyone. Colchester High School childcare centre has exceeded our expectations in every way.

May 9, 2025 at 3:58 pmMy youngest boy made the transition so easily thanks to the patience, kindness and happiness of the childcare centre team. We now have had 18 months journey of the childcare centre and their qualities have been a constant and important factor. My kid is so cheerful there and I am content when I leave him. As a bonus, he is beginning to learn letters and words in a enjoyable way and so the transition to school will be seamless. We were very cheerful with the childcare centre we had used for my 2 kids, previous to Colchester High School, however, it was necessary to move my youngest boy when we selected Colchester High School for my eldest boy primary school.

They are exposed to such incredible teaching opportunities and both our kids have thrived and enjoyed the childcare centre setting, adored the team and learned so much through playtime. My youngest can’t wait for school and being a summer baby, we are confident he will thrive because of the care he has received. A excellent childcare centre. We have had 2 kids in the childcare centre, both with different personalities and interests and what’s incredible is that each kid is seen as an individual and supported for their needs.

He strides up the steps every morning cheerful and confident and I’m certain it’s because of the fantastic nurturing team. They are so compassionate and reassuring. My kids get so attached to them, which is lovely. They do so many exceptional activities each day and every day he comes home chattering about his delicious lunch! It’s a excellent introduction to school life, with PE, French and IT lessons included. I also adore the importance they place on fresh air -they have a exceptional garden all to themselves. I just couldn’t suggest it anymore, truly. My daughter went there too and still looks back so fondly. She came out with an incredible foundation for reading and indeed was reading proper books just a short time after. I’m so impressed by the reading, write, inc programme they have there. The kids adore to do it and it’s hugely effective. Just an outstanding childcare centre, all round. Where to start!

The teaching team are thoughtful, attentive and respond quickly to any communications. She started school ahead of peers as she already understood letters from the read-write programme My daughter received outstanding educational and pastoral care.

June 11, 2025 at 9:44 pmI receive daily updates informing me of activities my kid has been completing, along with details of his development, which is complemented by the photographs and videos loaded onto his interactive discovering diary. He is consistently enthusiastic to talk to me about what he has been doing at childcare centre and goes into childcare centre every day excited, with a smile on his face. My husband and I are so pleased with our choice to send him to this childcare centre. The development my kid has made since starting at the childcare centre has been remarkable thanks to the hard work of the excellent childcare centre practitioners working here.

June 24, 2025 at 9:50 amAcademically, she has thrived with reading and writing and has gained an incredible ability to read and blend letter sounds and begin to read her first books as well as being able to do basic maths sums, recognising and writing letters, numbers and understanding what they mean. The childcare centre has also encouraged her artistic ability using varied mediums and her creative playtime with plenty of dress-up and imaginative playtime. The ability of the childcare centre to have specific music/P.E educators really enhances the education and transition to school if you choose to go. Being part of a private school, I was anxious about the type of parent and therefore kid that would be attending. Having now experienced it for myself, I can reassure anyone that it’s simply the best decision we made. Our daughter was surrounded by adore, assistance and friendship from educators and peers and has emerged as a well-rounded individual. Our daughter has been at the childcare centre since she was 2.5 years old and has had an incredible journey.
