September 22, 2024 at 5:35 pmIt has the perfect balance for nurturing a kid, with the morning set aside for discovering and playtime being given the afternoon, which other nurseries seem to lack. We couldn’t think about our girls going anywhere else (this side of school, obviously!). Under the care and stewardship of the manager and one other, the Co-op Charlton childcare centre has become our girl’s home-from-home.

September 25, 2024 at 9:43 pmShe has really developed in Co-op Childcare and the team are very attentive to my kid’s needs.
My kid is undergoing some assessments for special needs and the SEN lead has been excellent and really has been helping with her discovering plan.
The management of the childcare centre is outstanding and she has been with the site a very long time so is very well‑informed and lovely.
There is a long waiting list but it shows what a excellent childcare centre it is.
They have a excellent daily feedback app which keeps you up to date with all meals, naps, toilet trips and daily activities with excellent info and pictures of my kid.
The meals consistently look excellent and very nutritional.
The opening hours are one of the longest (07:30-18:30) in the area which is what attracted us to start with but so glad we joined. My kid has been attending since January 2021.

I receive daily updates on what they’ve been doing/discovering/playing/eating/sleeping – which is a excellent reassurance while I am at work. Since my daughter started childcare centre in January she has felt settled and cheerful, I had no need to be nervous about her changing schools.

They consistently greet us by name and they consistently afford the time to have a brief conversation with both me and my granddaughter. They greet and welcome her with an engaging attitude and so she is consistently cheerful to toddle off without a backwards glance. This is a cheerful place! I deliver my granddaughter once a week and fetch her once a week from the Co-op Childcare Charlton childcare centre.

October 19, 2024 at 9:58 pmThe settling-in process was very supported with four shorter sessions before starting with full days.
The team are fantastic – very attentive and accommodating and my daughter loves them. The kids have multiple activities every day which are engaging, educational and enjoyable. The chef prepares fantastic varied and nutritional meals – along with regular snacks!
As a parent- I have found the childcare centre really supportive. I have returned to a full-time career and the opening times from 07.30 – 18.30 really help with supporting this. The team keep us informed of our daughter’s activities and development via an app – however if there are any concerns they contact us directly.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Charlton Co-op Childcare to a friend or family. My daughter started going to Co-op Childcare Charlton in June 2022 when she was 1-year-old.

December 4, 2024 at 11:19 amThe team provide supportive updates and great photos on the app and they also give additional details at the end of the day. The Manager and Deputy Manager are dedicated, welcoming and popular with the kids. A special mention must also go to the childcare centre cook, who provides delicious, nutritionally-balanced meals for the kids. We have moved away from the area now and were sorry to leave this childcare centre. The team are attentive and approachable.

She consistently makes our kids sense very special. I sense confident they are secure in her care. We have had two kids attend this childcare centre over the last six years and we have been consistently cheerful with their care.

Co-op clearly care so much about the babies’ development and happiness and I’m so cheerful we picked this childcare centre over other options in the area. The app gets updated constantly with photos and updates which is excellent to read when you are at work. I’d suggest this childcare centre 100%. My 18-month-old son has been attending Co-op Childcare since he was 12 months old.

January 14, 2025 at 8:16 amThe team were very understanding and supportive in his settling days and the first couple of weeks (he had a fair bit of separation anxiety in the first fortnight or so) and they’re great at giving me feedback on how he’s doing and what he’s up to during the day. Overall it’s been a very positive journey and I’d suggest the childcare centre to other first-time parents! My son started at the Co-op Childcare childcare centre when he was 13 months old.

January 20, 2025 at 7:20 amI have never had any reason to complain, on the rare occasion where there is any miscommunication the childcare centre manager works quickly to resolve issues. My son looks forward to going in every morning and tells me what an incredible day he has had every day he gets back. Remarkable manager, incredible team. Really cheerful that I made the right choice by placing my son there. Thank you to the entire team for doing an outstanding job. My son has been attending the childcare centre for two years now and the quality of the childcare centre has remained consistent over time.

Truly attentive and paying attention to each individual kid. Also, excellent activities and plenty of daily updates via the app. This is an incredible childcare centre.

My daughter has only been here a few months and I already see a big difference. My toddler and I are extremely cheerful with this childcare centre and would like to thank the team. February 28, 2025 at 2:53 pmShe consistently tells me about the excellent food, the new childcare centre rhymes she has been discovering, her making new friends and the new games she’s learned. Also, since she’s been going to the childcare centre, she started eating food that she usually didn’t like and now enjoys, such as peas. The team are all very welcoming and attentive and I can see that in the development she has made at home, at the childcare centre and mostly everywhere she goes. I also receive daily updates on what she ate/did/played with/her drawings and paintings and how much she slept, which is a relief because I know she is secure and well. Her updates and socialisation skills have been improved massively. Thank you to all the Co-op Childcare Charlton team! My daughter loves spending time at her childcare centre and is consistently thrilled after she comes home.

More outdoor space would be nice, and the costs are high but these are reasonable in this part of London. The Co-op childcare centre has helped us manage the last few years really well.

She learns every day from the many activities available to her and we receive personalised tips to help her development at home. I have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the early years education. Pastorally they are also very strong – supportive, responsive and there is a strong sense that they delight in the kids and have enjoyable with them. Our daughter has been attending this childcare centre for a year and during that time we have been very impressed.

I was anxious at first deciding to pull her out of her previous childcare centre but it has been one of the best decisions I have made by far. I look forward to watching her grow within the childcare centre! Our journey with the childcare centre has been lovely.
