March 5, 2020 at 12:00 amWe are very happy with Chestnuts Nursery. The care for our 18-month-old daughter is excellent and she clearly enjoys spending her day at nursery. We appreciate that there is very low staff turnover, and the staff genuinely seem to care about our daughter’s development. One small piece of advice, it might be helpful to create a guide for new parents through the first few weeks of nursery. It is quite an emotional rollercoaster. The staff had answers for all our questions during this time, and it put our mind at ease, but it could help to put it in a small leaflet or something like that. Thank you for making nursery so enjoyable for our daughter.

The staff are lovely and very focused on providing a happy setting for our children. The care has been particularly good during the challenging coronavirus times, and we are been very impressed with the professional attitude of the staff and their efforts to reintegrate the children.

August 5, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son has not been around people much due to the pandemic, so I was anxious for him starting nursery. The girls in his room were fantastic, and the manager was very supportive. He loves going now, and we have already noticed him developing lots more since starting.

The wide variety of activities that my children are involved in day to day is extremely impressive and always seem both educational and engaging.

She loves being there, taking part in every activity appears to be an exciting adventure and she says everyone there is her best friend.

My son loves it and has always felt at home there. There is such a friendly and caring atmosphere at Chestnuts which I think was so important to him settling in. Also, what is fantastic is I can now check on my phone what he’s had to eat and when he has slept etc. He loves the outdoors and the nursery has a great outdoor area with lots of play equipment to explore. The food is always well balanced and home-cooked, he always eats it all! They always are doing creative crafts and on special occasions will bring home bits like Christmas etc. The staff are all lovely and cannot do enough for them. Would highly recommend Chestnuts to anyone!

Not only are they attentive, personable, caring and experienced, but also seem to enjoy what they do, which as a parent, is incredibly important! April 26, 2022 at 12:00 amWe were nervous about our son starting nursery as he was one of the youngest in his room and a “pandemic baby” but the Chestnuts Day Nursery team were incredible and he has settled better than we could ever imagine. We love Chestnuts as it’s perfectly small and every member of staff knows him well – and he’s happy with everyone.
The team have cared for his food allergies and eczema so well and we’re very grateful for that. We’re also very grateful for that. We’re also very impressed with all the activities the children do from celebrating cultural festivals to arts and crafts, he loves it.

The setting is clean, safe and educational. The staff are all truly wonderful. They are approachable, caring and kind individuals who really make an effort to engage and develop the children in individualised ways. The longer opening hours accommodate our working schedules. We’re greeted with nothing but smiling faces at pick-up and drop-off. If we could give this nursery 10 stars, we would! Thank you, Team Chestnuts.

We feel that all the staff have taken the time to get to know her personally and she absolutely loves going in! We love hearing what she’s been up to during the day and communication is brilliant. The staff are all extremely professional, very friendly and always happy to fill us in on how our daughter is getting on.

All the staff are always so happy, enthusiastic and caring. One of the reasons I chose Chestnuts was for the homely and personalised feeling you get as soon as you walk in. I couldn’t recommend a better nursery!

July 18, 2023 at 12:00 amFantastic nursery. My son has been attending for a year now and the staff have been consistently friendly, supportive and in tune with my son’s development. The food options for him are always healthy and varied and the staff, again, were so supportive when it came to discussing expressing/storing milk when he was younger.
Overall, a brilliant nursery, we receive detailed daily updates, regular photos and development checks. That, plus the well-trained, friendly team is great. Thank you Chestnuts Day Nursery!
