Chestnut Nursery School @ Ray Lodge

Our expectations are managed truly well and security is so high when we arrange for others to pick up our kid. It’s so crucial as a first-time parent that you know your kid is secure, and Chestnut Childcare centre School @ Ray Lodge makes us sense that way. We adore how our kid is developing, coming home and singing songs, talking and laughing. They’ve also got her using the toilet at 2 years old! What an incredible team at Ray Lodge, we can never thank you all enough. We are having a remarkable journey here with our first kid.

My boy has been there now for nearly a year and he absolutely loves it. It is fantastic to know that he is being looked after so well, with such patience and kindness. All the team there are fantastic and updates from the childcare centre is consistently informative and detailed. I highly suggest the childcare centre. Thank you to the manager and the team for all the hard work and looking after the little ones so well. Chestnut Childcare centre is a excellent childcare centre!

Our son has additional needs and communicates via sign language, as well as needing many therapies. This childcare centre is a exceptional mainstream childcare centre that is inclusive. They are outstanding at both the practical and paperwork/admin side of managing our son’s needs. We communicate openly with them and trust them.
His keyworker (and SENCO) is attentive as well as challenging to help our son learn. She has journey of ways of working with kids with additional needs and lots of skills in the areas. Most importantly – she is genuinely passionate about her job and does it well.
Obviously, our journey relates to a kid with additional needs, but we are going to be sending our daughter (who is neurotypical) to Chestnuts too soon. We adore the way the classrooms are set up, with plenty of tabletop activities, messy playtime, outdoor playtime opportunities, and they also have a sensory room. Our son (3) attends Chestnuts Childcare centre school, and our daughter (11m) is going to start in January.

My third kid is at the childcare centre. Over the years at the childcare centre, I have consistently been cheerful with the level of care, updates and atmosphere at the childcare centre. I sense cheerful and comfortable dropping off the kids knowing they are in excellent hands. The manager is excellent at running the childcare centre and is consistently available for any questions. I could not suggest the childcare centre enough. Thank you to the manager and the team for all the hard work they do for the kids! Excellent childcare centre!

My daughter loves it. She has been there since she was 1 and is now almost 3 and we’ve seen her develop so much. Excellent rapport with management, highly expert and welcoming. At each room, our daughter has had remarkable team who have been attentive and approachable. Ray Lodge childcare centre is remarkable.

Both joined at 12 months old and progressed onto school at four years old. This is a purpose-built childcare setting with two huge gardens and excellent facilities. Their activities are well planned and the team show a keen interest in all the kids. Both my daughters were sad to leave but were well equipped to deal with their new primary school challenge!
I cannot suggest this childcare centre enough! Chestnut Childcare centre has been a remarkable journey for both my daughters from end to end.

We are beyond cheerful with the way the team delicately nurture the kids and pay attention to their every need. My son has a lot of dietary requirements and the room team have thoroughly supported us through this. We have found the childcare centre a remarkable journey for our son who loves attending and has learnt copious amounts.
We can’t suggest this childcare centre enough and are exceptionally sad to be leaving.
The team make this childcare centre a huge success and we wish them all the luck for the future. My son has been at Chestnut for almost a year now and we are only leaving because we have moved areas.

We have nothing but great things to say about Chestnut. The kids have loved going there and it has been a excellent preparation for school too in the pre-school room. The team are all lovely, and the manager is exceptionally welcoming and supportive. They have truly great outdoor space, including a separate garden for the babies which is unusual. Definitely recommended! My kids have been attending Chestnut Childcare centre School @ Ray Lodge since 2017 and I will be sad when my daughter leaves to go to school this September.

It was a tough settling-in period but the team were patient, compassionate and supported him during this transition period. If we had any feedback or concerns, they were taken on board and actioned appropriately and we felt the management are genuinely invested in making improvements. We sense comfortable dropping him off in the mornings and know he is in great hands. The only constructive feedback we have is a separate sleeping room would be great for younger babies who need dark/quiet to sleep away from the main playroom or are on different sleep schedules. Thank you to the manager, deputy manager and all the team for their hard work. My son started at Chestnut Childcare centre School in January 2023.

The team are attentive and provide a lovely setting in order to develop their understanding of the world and social skills. Would highly suggest. Both my kids have attended Chestnut Childcare centre and have been truly cheerful there.
