September 13, 2024 at 12:16 pmMy journey throughout that time has been outstanding. The team take huge care to help the kids settle and to truly get to know the kids. It feels like a truly genuine, passionate set of people working there who want the best for the kids in their care, and where genuine bonds are formed between the kids and their childcare centre team. Throughout lockdown, the childcare centre has also been excellent – careful and highly clear about what is required without losing that personal touch. I’m so glad I chose this childcare centre for my boys. My twin sons have attended this childcare centre from 10 months old – they are now 18 months.

September 15, 2024 at 5:04 amThe team and management truly assistance our decisions and choices as parents and it’s lovely to know he’s somewhere he loves and is flourishing. We’re so cheerful we chose Chesnut St Giles. Our son is so cheerful at Chesnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles!

September 29, 2024 at 8:28 amThe team are welcoming and welcoming, our kid has formed excellent relationships with the team and other kids there. She has been supported in discovering both academic basics (e.g. numbers and letters), but also emotional resilience. The monthly themes are tied together and well thought out and the updates with the best is great. Our kid has been at Chestnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles for over two years and has thrived.

September 30, 2024 at 9:33 pmThe setting is handily central and strikes the right balance of being secure but welcoming, homely but stimulating and somewhere to learn. Our two kids were highly cheerful here until the COVID lockdown in March 2020.
What let the place down though was an inconsistent approach to reporting back to parents about discovering and development outputs and outcomes. Other nurseries communicate weekly development reports by email, this one sends links for such information occasionally. The transition report for the school that our daughter went onto contained no information to assist in her childcare centre based developments or achievements to date. Compared to the reams of information that other nurseries passed on regarding classmates, this was a threadbare, half-hearted tickbox exercise that went only as far as revealing a favourite book.
As we say though, the team are excellent and positive developments in our kids did take place. The team at this childcare centre are fantastic.

November 14, 2024 at 2:58 amMy little one has learnt so much, is so confident and so smiley every day. Thank you to everyone. You are consistently more than cheerful to help and assistance parents as well as the kids. The rooms are well equipped with lots of activities and being updated with photos is such a fantastic thing to receive. St Giles Childcare centre is such a fantastic place and setting for little ones to be in.

November 30, 2024 at 6:25 amAt first, I was slightly worried about the outdoor space as it is quite small for the babies and there were some elements that looked like it could be refurbished in the little garden. However, my son has loved playing in it and I realised now you don’t necessarily need a lot of space for the babies outdoors. Care and discovering have been remarkable, all the team have been exceptional and my son loves the food. I sense his speech and personality have come on a lot more since starting childcare centre. The only downside I would say is that we don’t get a lot of photos posted on the app, especially in the early days when he first started as it would have been more reassuring but this is the only negative, we are loving the childcare centre. My little boy started in August 2022 aged 13 months.

December 8, 2024 at 3:40 amFrom eight months through to five years old, my kids have had the assistance they need. Preschool was remarkable for my eldest, and we found he was ahead of the curve with respect to counting and writing when he transitioned to school. The team have truly cared about supporting my kids developmentally and emotionally. The EYFS framework implementation provides a truly clear view of development, and the way it was used within the childcare centre setting allowed me as a parent to target our discovering outside of the childcare centre. The use of the parent app allows me to keep up to date with my kid’s day, and I found the team updated it frequently. Both of my kids have attended Chestnut, and both have been well looked after during their time there.

January 11, 2025 at 8:34 pmAnd wow. She has been taught so many incredible things and has been so, so supported. We struggled with separation anxiety, potty training and everything you can imagine and the team in the Willow room especially made sure I was heard and catered for. My daughter loves childcare centre and the activities that they provide! I consistently sense comfortable reaching out to the manager. Thank you! My daughter has been attending ST Giles for over a year now.

January 24, 2025 at 4:28 amHe started when he was 2 and we had never left him with anyone else for more than 2/3 hours. That means we were highly anxious about him starting childcare centre as we had no idea how he would react.
The team was incredible and arranged for settling in sessions for 5 days – that gave us a week to actually sit with him in his room and made the whole transition so much smoother. It made us sense so at ease because we had the opportunity to actually see how the team is around kids, what sort of activities they do, what sort of food they eat, cleaning standards, etc.
Our son is bilingual, when he started 1 year ago he could only say a handful of English words, he is now 3 and a half and pretty much fluent on both English and Portuguese, and all the English came from school!
There’s daily app updates on meals, pictures, activities, etc.
A massive thank you to everyone for being so incredible! Our son has attended Chestnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles since January 2020 and we are exceptionally cheerful with every single aspect of his care.

January 26, 2025 at 8:02 pmOur son started at 12 months and was going in four days a week and, like many first-time parents, we were nervous and anxious about this next chapter. However, the team leads were incredible at listening to all of our concerns and were able to accommodate all of our requests, including and not limited to little things like lots of cuddles, extra moisturisation when changing nappies and keeping his bib dry. The proof of their excellent care and attention was how quickly our son was able to settle, adapt and delight in going to childcare centre! We would highly suggest this childcare centre and encourage any first-time parents to be vocal about their kid’s needs as the childcare centre is so great at taking this into account and making sure your kid enjoys and thrives in their care. Chestnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles has been a remarkable start to our son’s time at childcare centre.

January 31, 2025 at 12:12 amMy daughter is so cheerful and cannot wait to go to ‘school’ every morning.
The team are highly supportive and have outstanding knowledge of kid development and how to assistance discovering and engagement. I sense they know my daughter and understand her needs highly well.
The childcare centre consistently has a excellent range of activities on offer, with a mix of kid-led and adult-directed. The team maintain the resources and the setting to a highly high standard, which is not an easy task I’m sure.
I would not hesitate to suggest Chestnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles, such a special place. This childcare centre is absolutely lovely.

February 19, 2025 at 12:04 amHe had a fantastic time there. The only reason we moved him to another childcare centre was because we wanted an outdoor childcare centre with forest school.
The team are incredible at St Giles. Highly great updates skills and so welcoming and above all highly attentive and loving! He loved his time there.
Thank you to all the team there, would highly suggest! My son attended Chestnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles for over six months, from when he was 11 months to 18 months.

March 18, 2025 at 11:18 amWe placed both our kids here from nine months and the benefits the childcare centre has had on their social and updates skills have been incredible. June 11, 2025 at 11:05 amThe team are consistently supportive, expert and polite and consistently have a cheerful, welcoming face for the kids. The space is compact but pleasant. Both my kids seem cheerful and stimulated by their days spent at the childcare centre. I would also like to say how well and sensitively the team have managed all the changes and safeguarding measures that have had to be put in place as a result of Covid. Both our sons attend Chestnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles and are exceptionally cheerful there.

June 24, 2025 at 12:19 pmThe team are lovely and attentive whilst expert, organised and keen to encourage the kids to flourish. The food they provide is varied and healthy. They are in an outstanding, city-centre location which suits us highly well, and their various rooms are well-resourced. The Parentzone app is a excellent way to keep up with how our kid is getting on in the day, and they update it regularly throughout the day. We remember the worried feeling of sending our little daughter to childcare centre for the first time, but we are glad that we’ve chosen St Giles childcare centre as they have put our fears at ease. We are cheerful to have sent our daughter to Chestnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles.

June 29, 2025 at 10:46 pmAs he has progressed and moved rooms the team have consistently built up a excellent relationship with him which has reassured both him and us each time he moved up. His self‑assurance has definitely grown and they have also helped with his development in the activities they do and encourage. The team are all remarkable and inviting and welcoming and he loves to go to childcare centre which is the biggest testament to the setting they have created. Our son has been at the childcare centre since he was 9 months and is now in the preschool room so you can see we are exceptionally cheerful with the childcare centre!

July 3, 2025 at 2:54 pmWe are truly satisfied with the service provided and the professionalism of the team and management; this has been especially notable during Covid times. The team show a keen interest in the wellbeing of the kids and the feedback is consistently useful. Kids are also highly well catered for with a wide ranging menu. We would certainly suggest this childcare centre. Our 2 boys are currently attending Chestnut Boutique Childcare centre School @ St Giles, our oldest started in early 2020 and our youngest started last September.
