October 13, 2024 at 10:20 pmNow 5 she still attends after school as the setting is like a little family. The team are well trained, welcoming and bring out the best in the kids. My daughter has grown in self‑assurance and ability with strong social skills. Another excellent benefit is the flexibility the childcare centre provides as a working parent they have been highly flexible with timings and provide me with complete peace of mind. My husband and I could not suggest them enough. My daughter has attended Chalkhouse Childcare since she was 6 months old.

November 7, 2024 at 8:30 amThey make an effort to get to know the kids by name and both my girls have gone there since 10 months old and I am highly cheerful with how they have both developed. The meals are consistently varied and nutritious and homemade. There is a distinct separation of the young and older kids to enable age-appropriate discovering. The homely facilities are outstanding, with lots of space to playtime and it’s highly secure. The owner and the team are welcoming, expert and highly attentive to the individual kids’s needs.

Management work closely with all team and parents and clearly are highly experienced. This childcare centre is remarkable!

My daughter has made some lovely friends and developed great numeracy and alphabet skills.
They go above and beyond in visual discovering and they had chicks that hatched and caterpillars they could watch changing to butterflies. Highly recommended. The team and facilities at Chalkhouse are excellent.

December 12, 2024 at 5:23 pmMy son settled on day 1 after I feared tears and clinging and he’s a truly cheerful kid after every session. He’s truly stimulated, well-fed and looked after and team make every effort to ensure every day is a cheerful one. They also keep me truly well informed with details about his day and pictures by text. It’s a small and truly homely setting with lovely facilities and plenty for the kids to do. For me, it’s a much more comfortable choice than a much larger and noisier childcare centre setting. Couldn’t be happier- thank you to the team. Chalkhouse is absolutely exceptional- such a excellent find in a rural setting where the kids are beautifully looked after by truly attentive team.

December 30, 2024 at 3:23 amThey have helped me settled my daughter in. She loves the hearty lunch time meals and the variety of interaction, playing and discovering. Class size is great. I don’t know how they manage it, but my daughter consistently comes home spotless and super cheerful! The garden space is excellent and the arts and crafts she comes home with are remarkable. I sense it truly appeals to her creative nature. What I like the most about this childcare centre is the attentive atmosphere and nature of the team.

December 31, 2024 at 12:04 pmIt is handily located in North Reading, which means you don’t have to trudge into town to get decent childcare and get stuck in morning and afternoon traffic. The outdoor space is truly lovely and the kids have plenty of space to run around. I am impressed by the continued commitment to getting the kids involved in different types of activities. The recent visit from a petting zoo was exceptional and I didn’t stop hearing about it. The team are attentive and attentive to the kids and it feels homely. This childcare centre is an utter gem.

April 13, 2025 at 5:52 pmI looked at around 10 nurseries in the surrounding area and this one stood out for its lovely surroundings and homely setting.
I knew the small and welcoming setting would suit my kids.
I like the personal approach and sense confident my kids are being well looked after.
I was also pleasantly surprised to discover the childcare centre was significantly cheaper than many of the other nurseries I’d viewed.

Most important they know our granddaughter well, truly well, all her needs, wants, preferences and little foibles. She is encouraged to be the best of herself. Chalkhouse Childcare is a lovely place for any childs first move away from home towards school. Knowing our granddaughter is cheerful is critical to us.

The childcare centre offers a wide range of activities, tailored to kids’s interests and all kids seem highly cheerful and settled. Chalkhouse Childcare is a wonderfully welcoming setting with team who are attentive and also exceptionally expert.

June 17, 2025 at 1:26 amA small setting meaning everyone knows the kids across the 3 different rooms. My son enjoys his time there and enjoys the activities (especially singing and dancing!). Well done Chalkhouse! Keep it up. A lovely little setting Kidmore End.
