Carlton Hill Nursery & Pre-School

Our daughter has been very happy at Carlton Hill Community Nursery. The staff is caring and loving. She always comes back singing the new song they’ve learnt at school. The garden is ideal and we love that they always take them outside and teach them about nature. It’s nice to know and see that she is enjoying and learning through the different activities they do.

The most important and extraordinary experience for me and my son. Staff always care for my son. He learnt so much this year, manners and discipline. They are always ready for the kids and value friends and parents. It really is a dream nursery, so perfect in all ways. I will never stop saying thanks to nursery. The most beautiful experience all this year and we’ve got our best friends.

I love this nursery! My daughter is happy to arrive there every morning, she became confident and developed beautifully.
She loves her key-person and I have complete confidence in them.
It has a great outdoor area where they grow vegetables and play, freshly cooked meals, a lot of messy play and activities.

Carlton Hill Nursery is a fabulous little nursery in St John’s Wood area. The staff and teachers are extremely kind, nurturing and receptive to your children’s needs. Our son attended when he turned 1 year old, and the transition was seamless. It soon got to a stage where he was excited to go every morning and sad to leave at the end of the day. They also offer healthy meals, which is really convenient, and have a really nice outdoor space for the kids to play around so they don’t have to leave the nursery. Overall we were very happy with the development we saw in our son, and most importantly, he appeared to be happy every day and well-nourished and taken care of. Special mentions to his key worker, and the head of the nursery for always keeping an eye out for him. Overall we would highly recommend this nursery to anyone living in the area. We, unfortunately, had to move our son after a while due to practical reasons and were quite sad about it. We wish the team all the very best!

My daughter attended Carlton Hill for 2+ years and we were extremely happy with it. The care, attention and nurturing from staff and management were exceptional. My daughter began to develop her personality and thrive with the help of her carers.
Nursery management is outstanding. Very responsive and extremely good in looking out for their children.
Also, an enormous garden for kids to play in is a major selling point, especially in these crazy times.

I cannot recommend Carlton Hill Nursery enough. Our daughter has been there from 8 months of age to 3 and a half.
She has thrived and really felt safe and loved in what was really like another family for her. We cannot thank enough the great staff (the director and administrator) and of course the wonderful teachers she’s had throughout the years!
Carlton Hill Nursery is located inside a beautiful house, but the greatest thing is the outside space, with a very large garden. This allows all kids to be outside when it’s sunny: the babies have a safe, separate space to play, while the bigger children can enjoy activities like gardening or discovering animal life.
Carlton Hill Nursery also provided regular feedback and information: photos and descriptions of activities on an app and a detailed one-to-one meeting with the main teacher every year. We were amazed at everything our daughter learnt there!

We have absolutely loved our experience at LEYF Carlton Hill Nursery & Pre-School. It has been a caring, supportive and stimulating environment for our child. We appreciate the variety of activities: reading of books in literacy, planting in science, messy play, water and sand trays. My son especially loved the big garden at the back of the big building with lots of bicycles, tricycles and scooters. I was pleased he did not have to walk anywhere to enjoy outdoor play. The food is also well balanced and nutritious. The teachers are all excellent and have an in-depth knowledge of children in the early years. It was always so nice to enter the school where all the teachers greeted my child by his name. My child developed in leaps and bounds – a child who came in with separation anxiety to leaving feeling happy and confident and well prepared to move on to a new school. Words and reviews cannot say enough about this nursery. If you’re lucky enough to get a spot you won’t be disappointed!

Two of our children went to Carlton Hill and both went on to excellent schools. The outdoor space is second to none and the staff is caring. The management is excellent and we have noticed continuous improvements to the nursery and the program they implement over the seven years our children were there. The nursery could do with a refurbishment, but everything is kept clean. We feel that the comprehensive program really contributed to our children’s development.
