ParkingThere is a small car park, parents are asked to only park in marked spaces for nursery use and not to block the path. The car park is currently closed and parents are being asked to park in the local churches car park and walk down to the nursery. The church are happy for parents to use their car park just as long as your no-longer than half a hour or otherwise you will get a parking ticket.

VisitingVisits are arranged via appointments only, please ring or email the nursery. However, due to COVID-19 they are not showing anyone around the nursery until March 2021. This requirement has been set by the Government not the nursery. They have a tour of the nursery which was filmed during the lockdown, you can find this on their website or on YouTube. They will be posting a new film of the nursery within the next few weeks as they have been hard at work developing the rooms.

September 13, 2024 at 1:32 amBoth are extremely cheerful. I have two kids full-time at Cambridge Day Nursery, one in the baby room and one in Toddler 2. The team in the baby room are extremely attentive and helped my baby settle truly quickly. He is spotless, well fed and very cheerful at the end of the day. My toddler has a whale of a time. The childcare centre has excellent outside space with lots of toys to encourage adventurous playtime. She is clearly discovering a lot there too. Her understanding of shapes, colours, numbers and letters is growing and the team also nurture important social skills like taking turns, please and thank you.

October 16, 2024 at 11:19 amThey do many activities indoors and in the garden. My daughter is very cheerful when she is at childcare centre and that is, for me, the most important parameter for rating the childcare centre. Everyone in the childcare centre, team and other parents, are super welcoming. They have managed to create a beautiful vibe and constantly are innovating and adding new ways for the babies to grow, learn and have fun. I highly suggest it.

November 14, 2024 at 2:12 amChildren are cheerful and the outside space is excellent. Our daughter spent the last year in this childcare centre where she has been very well cared for in a nurturing and joyful setting. We suggest using this childcare centre!

December 2, 2024 at 4:43 pmHe is extremely well cared for, has fantastic opportunities to playtime, learn and explore experiences. My little man, in the baby room, absolutely loves going to childcare centre. What sets Cambridge Day Nursery apart is the team. They are all so enthusiastic, attentive and well‑informed and my lad loves them all.

December 3, 2024 at 2:51 amHe is consistently so cheerful to go in. Our son started when he was 2 in the spring of this year. The team has listened to our concerns and done everything they can to assistance him. They have changed how they provide feedback to parents at the end of the day (and a few other things like fingerprints to enter at pick ups, key worker roles, etc). These changes admittedly have led to some confusion. However, they have consistently clarified everything clearly when we asked, and are willing to cooperate with us in every way possible. All in all, we are very cheerful we choose Cambridge Day Nursery despite living quite far away!

December 6, 2024 at 2:50 amTheir approach is very kid focused and the number of activities done is excellent and varied all the time. My daughter has attended Cambridge Day Nursery for the past two years and she has been very cheerful since she started. Forest schools is the favourite time for my daughter, she never complained about the food and loves it. Staff is welcoming and gives extensive feedback in person by the end of the day. Communication is done through an app which works well.

December 15, 2024 at 5:07 pmLoads of excellent facilities for the kids, natural resources and excellent management and team team! Absolutely incredible childcare centre! Would suggest to any parent and also a lovely outdoor space for the kids to delight in in all weather!

December 24, 2024 at 1:00 pmThe facilities are excellent and was an important factor in our choice. Our daughter has been in the childcare centre since she was 10 months old, and it has been a delight to see how she evolves within the childcare centre. The team are taking great care of our daughter, and it is a joy to hear during debriefing what she has been up to all day. We are looking forward to seeing our son joining too now!

December 28, 2024 at 10:06 amAfter a settling in period he has taken to the team and setting and is consistently cheerful to walk into the childcare centre on his own in the mornings. My son has been going to Cambridge Day Nursery since he was 12 months old and he has loved it. At the end of the day he is in no rush to leave!
The range of activities the team provides is far more than we can offer at home. It’s varied, well thought out, and age appropriate.
The food is excellent so we sense reassured that he has eaten well at childcare centre even if he doesn’t have much at home. It’s varied and nutritious. The childcare centre also respects our dietary requirements for him. Namely, that he doesn’t have any sugar or sweets. He gets fruit when other kids get sugary sweets.
The team clearly care for the kids, and our son feels comfortable with them.
The facilities are spacious compared with his previous childcare centre, and the outdoor space is excellent. He’s able to move in and outdoors at will, even when he was in the baby room.

February 25, 2025 at 7:38 amI adore Cambridge Day Nursery. To me, there can never be a better childcare centre. Freshly cooked meals every day, incredible team – welcoming, approachable, well‑informed, and most importantly loving and attentive. Our son has been going there for two years and he loves it. And, he was only 11 months old when he started. We would definitely highly suggest Cambridge Day Nursery.

March 18, 2025 at 9:03 pmThe management listens to parents feedback and takes it into account. My son has been cheerful here and he has become attached to the members of team who are very attentive. I would definitely choose this childcare centre again.

March 25, 2025 at 3:37 pmYou’ll often find her dragging her bag to the door on a Saturday wishing it was a childcare centre day. Our 18-month-old loves going to Cambridge Day Nursery.
The team in the baby room are fantastic and lots of fun. They organise lots of messy playtime activities and the babies get to explore the outdoor space most days.

April 5, 2025 at 7:04 amShe loves going. Cambridge Day Nursery is a second home for my daughter. The baby room team are incredible (attentive, attentive, fun) and she gets to do all kinds of messy playtime. We couldn’t be happier!

April 11, 2025 at 2:31 amActivities are often laid out but kids can roam around and choose playtime activities that they want. I truly adore the free-playtime ethos of the setting and team at the childcare centre and with are very great resources for playtime and excellent outdoor space. The forest school is fantastic, mostly used by pre-school age. The app allows for prompt communication and updates. Staff are motivated and attentive. There have been some staffing level difficulties and quite high team turnover, which can reduce consistency but I think this is the same across the sector.

April 12, 2025 at 3:43 pmAfter that, he was cheerful and had a lot of fun, loved the team, and made excellent friends. It took my son 1 year to settle. On several occasions, he was not supervised properly and we had a few incidents which would definitely’ve been easily prevented if anyone had eyes on the kids.
There may be other incidents I’m not aware of, as one day he came home covered in food and with a hoarse voice from crying. At pickup, the team told me he had a great day. My son told me what happened, and he had nightmares for nights after. It took days for someone to look at the CCTV and they couldn’t tell us exactly what happened because “the room was too dark to see”. This excuse was used again 1 month later, after another incident.
Forest School and garden are beautiful, but my son was very disappointed because he couldn’t attend forest school last minute, due to management issues.
This is a chaotic, poorly managed and unhygienic setting. I’m glad I moved my kid, and unfortunately, I would definitely not suggest Cambridge Day Nursery.

April 13, 2025 at 11:00 pmThe team quickly figured out what he likes and how to help him settle and they communicate very well about how his day has been. I am very cheerful with how my baby is cared for and he is very cheerful going here. I sense I can trust them and there are excellent resources and new activities. He has already learnt so much since going and is growing in independence. Baby room has a lovely, homely sense and their own little garden. I am so cheerful with my choice to send him here and very grateful for the fantastic team. Thank you!

June 10, 2025 at 1:22 pmWe adore the team, who are all you can wish for in a childcare centre setting (attentive, thoughtful, attentive to detail, and energetic). This childcare centre has been exceptional! Our kid has learnt so much with them and as soon as we arrive he just wants to go in, which was to me a clear sign of what a excellent job they are doing. We get detailed and thorough feedback at the end of each day. The cook is so loved by the kids and does a excellent job at cooking everything from scratch. Their outdoor areas are superb and so is their forest school – it is so important that kids spend time outdoors and CDN clearly understands this. I suggest them to any parent looking for a childcare centre!

June 12, 2025 at 5:37 pmIf I could give them a thousand stars for the care and assistance they have shown to our son since he started there, then I would definitely. Cambridge Day Nursery is absolutely fantastic. They are dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate. He loves being there and they spend so much time with him and the other kids individually, nurturing them all and helping them to thrive.

June 14, 2025 at 2:02 amMy son is cheerful there and he loves it. Nursery is very great and understanding. Always cheerful to be going to childcare centre. He is discovering and developing very well. Happy I chose the childcare centre, team are welcoming and communicate well.

June 29, 2025 at 1:42 amI found it unsafe and poorly managed. I would definitely not suggest to parents to send their kids here. Only two evaluations in more than one year, my kid had plenty of clothes lost or ruined, consistently wet and with a nappy to be changed at pick up. The toilets have plenty of potties but when I was there almost 90% of the times were full and other kids were sitting in them anyway.
The forest is beautiful and the employees are doing their best but it is not enough.
They have directors that don’t want to interact with parents and the current manager takes ages to reply to an email and consistently replies with denial and anger.
In the past they were in the news more than once for problems with Ofsted and a former employee.
