Our daughter is so cheerful at this childcare centre and the growth and development we have seen in her has been incredible. The childcare centre workers are such excellent team members and encourage the growth in our daughter every day. We are so cheerful with Heriot Hill Nursery and encourage any parents thinking about nurseries for their kids, to consider this childcare centre. From the induction days to the daily drop-offs and pick-ups, this childcare centre is like a home away from home.

She is discovering every day, enjoying activities and being encouraged to develop important skills; expressing herself and enjoying herself.
The team are welcoming and nurturing if a little stretched given recent changes. The office team need assistance on occasion, new rules, funding, systems are not consistently easy. Pre-school is an outstanding setting where my kid is thriving.

The team are very welcoming and welcoming and provide an outstanding standard of care. There are excellent facilities for the kids to utilise, we adore the fact that there is so much outdoor space and the opportunity to playtime with things that aren’t traditional toys. The food is also a big favourite with our daughter. We are very cheerful With Heriot Hill Nursery and would suggest it to anyone else looking for a childcare centre. Our daughter has settled in very well at childcare centre and now gets excited when we arrive at the gate.

Each day we learn about all the activities she has enjoyed and she has enjoyed and she has plenty of tales to share with us. The childcare centre would very much benefit from refurbishment. It is very tired and appears to be falling into disrepair. I appreciate that operational costs will have skyrocketed, which will have squeezed profit, but sense this should be a key priority. Our daughter really enjoys her time spent in the Bumble Bee room at Heriot Hill.

I have absolutely no concerns whatsoever about her transition to primary school as she has been so well prepared. She has had a remarkable time there and has never even cried when I dropped her off there.
The atmosphere is really super and the team very welcoming but expert. Your kid is greeted by her name as soon as she walks in the door and there are so many enjoyable and educational things for the kids to do all day long. Heriot Hill has an awesome “top garden” where there is a small pond and all kinds of muddy places and other logs and things to have enjoyable adventures.
I had consistently known that the food was pretty great but only when I went to review the menu did I realise just how great. I had no idea that my kid was being fed so well. What a remarkable menu! My daughter has attended since she was 1 year old and is now heading off to primary school.
What a fantastic start in her young life to be at Heriot Hill where she has been cared for and nurtured so well for 4 years.

The team in both of the rooms that she has attended are incredible and show a real interest and care for my kid. My kid’s vocabulary has improved since returning to childcare centre after the recent lockdown and I believe that is down in large part to the team at this childcare centre. I would like to see an increase in the volume of discovering journal entries but I do receive a detailed rundown of the day in regards to my kid on pickup and the team are consistently cheerful to answer any questions I have. The main office email address for this childcare centre which I have used, goes unanswered. I have sent many emails over the course of the one and a half years and I don’t receive a reply. I am told that the room in which the kids sleep is not dark enough and this affects sleep, this is down to insufficient window coverings and it would be great to get this rectified as it sounds to be a quick and easy fix. My kid has loved going to childcare centre here for the last one and a half years.

The team are lovely and he is clearly very fond of all of them. We see the paint-covered clothing at the end of the day as a sign of a day well spent! We are really pleased with the level of care that our son gets at Heriot Hill Nursery.

He absolutely loves his time there, the team are great and every day he is discovering so much. The setting is exciting and the choices and free flow that the kids have are remarkable. Garden areas in the whole childcare centre are excellent too! Delighted to have chosen such a nurturing setting for our son. I am very cheerful with the care my son receives at the childcare centre.

Above all, the warmth and care from the team which has helped a nervous mum leave her son in their care! The team have gone out of their way to make myself and son sense at ease and consistently make the time to catch up at pickup. My son is absolutely loving his time at Heriot Hill and thank you to all at the childcare centre for looking after him. You all do an incredible job and he’s already come on leaps and bounds in a matter of weeks. Our son joined in February at 18 months old and so far I’ve been really impressed.

I have a now 6-year-old girl who spent 4 cheerful years at Heriot Hill Nursery and a 2.5-year-old who currently attends the Bumblebee room. Our journey has been remarkable. Both kids began in the baby room, Gloworms at approx 7 months and we felt so supported from day one with advice, reassurance and such a nurturing, cosy and positive setting. As our kids have grown and developed, each room has brought exciting challenges and discovering experiences. Staff couldn’t be more supportive, engaging, approachable and enthusiastic in their discovering setting – particularly the garden spaces are remarkable. The personalised approach to the care, assistance and education of both my kids has been remarkable.

I needn’t have been. The team in glow worms baby room have been remarkable, my daughter is now a year old and from the first week, I saw a big leap in her development. She genuinely loves it. She claps her hands when we turn to go down the road towards childcare centre. She eats better than us and loves her meals. It feels like an extension to our family and the team immediately made me sense at ease. Such a cheerful and positive setting I’m so glad my little girl is looked after at Heriot Hill. As a new mum, going back to work, I was apprehensive about leaving my daughter at 7 months old.

My son loves the range of activities they do, from building dens indoors and out to reading corner, construction, drawing, looking for insects, he’s really cheerful there. Staff are engaging, consistently smiling and welcoming, even though they work long hours with few holidays.

Our son has made great development and the team have consistently been supportive particularly as this is our first kid so they have been able to provide supportive advice along the way. We have had our son at Heriot Hill for nearly 4 years and have found them to be expert, attentive and supportive.

I would like more updates from childcare centre nurses at pick up and drop off time. I sense like I have to push to get anything out of them. Feel like some of the childcare centre nurses just don’t want to be there, could do with a bit more energy and enthusiasm from team. My daughter loves attending preschool, she has really grown in her self‑assurance.

We sense very cheerful with the care our girls receive. The team are so welcoming and we really appreciate the regular updates both in person and on discovering journals. The childcare centre has a excellent emphasis on outdoor and loose parts playtime and the food is outstanding. We regularly suggest the childcare centre to others. Heriot Hill Nursery is a exceptional, welcoming childcare centre.

It was gutting to leave as the team were key in our transition to maternity leave to childcare centre and work. We had faced quite a few bugs and transition bumps and they were exceptional. Our daughter sang, played, and ate brilliantly. She thrived in Heriot Hill and while our new childcare centre is absolutely fine, it’s no Heriot Hill. Heriot Hill was our daughter’s first childcare centre and unfortunately, we had to move after 3 months because we changed neighbourhoods.

The facilities and outdoor ethos is remarkable and so are the team. The food provided is nutritious and made on site by the remarkable chef.
The assistance they have offered on toilet training with my youngest has been outstanding. Meanwhile, my oldest is being supported and encouraged to become more confident drawing and writing.
Staff have consistently had time to discuss my kids day and have been listening to any concerns or worries I have had in regards to development, behaviour etc.
I will be so sad to leave Heriot Hill when it’s time for school – they have been a huge part of our lives over the last 3/4 years. Absolutely adore this childcare centre and I have two very cheerful kids there.

Lots of activities for kids every day. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds in all areas since starting there. Outdoor playtime whenever possible only stopped by severe bad weather. great food options, lots of variety and very accommodating to my daughter’s allergies. Overall outstanding childcare centre with compassionate and attentive team. Friendly and welcoming team who made settling in easy for my kid (and me).
