Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool

The team were excellent at the childcare centre; approachable and very informative of the curriculum when we went for a tour back in January of last year. With a baby in a new setting away from parents, the reaction was expected and my little one was upset, but this was surprisingly very short-lived. Within a few settling in sessions, she had settled quite well, and the tears, when handed over, were soon a thing of the past before she transitioned into full-time. I felt relieved knowing that the settling in sessions went really well and my little one got to the stage during this time where she was cheerful being handed over to management, and her key worker. This made my transition going back to full-time work so much better knowing that she was cheerful/comfortable and put my mind at ease to focus on my work. I was quite worried about the settling in period – in a time of Covid and lockdown restrictions, we didn’t have as much as a social element beforehand as we had wanted to.

We have been very cheerful with the overall journey. Garden is huge and well equipped, rooms are tidy and spotless (before the kids arrive), the app is updated regularly. Team is lovely with us and with the kids. Team-parent events are organised throughout the year. Private parking is also very convenient for pickup and drop-off. Our two daughters both attended the childcare centre.

Both my kids have been going there since being a year old and they have both thrived there so much. My eldest is now in reception and I am immensely grateful and impressed at how well the pre-school team have prepared her for school. Despite being the youngest in her class, she has learned so much, building on what she learned at pre-school. Despite the lockdown, the kids learnt a lot, all while having enjoyable around specific themes each week. The team overall is so attentive and have a really close bond with the kids. They cater to every request and consistently provide excellent feedback about the kids’s days and development. They have adapted so well after the lockdown as well. It’s so nice to know my kids are/were in great hands and to see how cheerful they are/were going to childcare centre each day. They do a lot of lovely activities and spend a lot of time outdoors in the huge garden, something very few nurseries can offer. I would absolutely suggest this childcare centre.

The adore, discovering and energy they pour into the kids is second to none. I can not thank them enough for how well they prepared my daughter for ‘big school.’ She’s got off to a flying start both socially and academically because of the structure and discovering that was in place. She’s super confident and cheerful and the team in the pre-school room should be very proud of the positive impact they have had for these little people.
My son is in the toddler room and he is coming on in leaps and bounds. His key worker is just excellent enjoyable and he lights up when I tell him in the morning he’s spending the day with her. Every day is his dream, playing with bikes, toy trains and cars and I get lovely pictures of him enjoying himself and my kitchen is covered in his crazy artwork! I sense that this childcare centre has played a really important role in the life of my family and I will consistently be very grateful to the team there. The team are all just fantastic.

The team are incredible. They immediately bonded with our son. They do a lot of activities to help the development of our toddler and they are consistently cheerful to give me detailed explanations about that. Differently to our previous journey, now my son eats everything at the childcare centre – a well-balanced diet (fish, vegetables, meat and fruits). We moved our son after a bad journey with another local childcare centre and we are extremely cheerful about our choice.

We had a tricky start with our daughter attending childcare centre but the team helped in making her sense cheerful and relaxed, she now looks forward to going in each day which is excellent. We appreciate the updates throughout the day so we know what she is doing and how she is feeling. We are very cheerful with the standards and care of the childcare centre and team.

My boy is currently in the under 2’s room and what I have seen from the 5 months that he has been there, how much he has developed in all areas and I cannot thank them enough! The app is absolutely incredible and keeps me and my partner updated on his day from nappies to food to daily discovering opportunities in the room and garden.
Thank you all so much for taking care of my son, I couldn’t ask for anyone better! My little one attends this childcare centre and I cannot express how welcoming the team and management are there!

On childcare centre days she really looks forward to going and comes home so cheerful. A testament to the quality of the childcare centre. After a break during the lockdown, our 2 and a half-year-old is delighted to be back at childcare centre 2 days a week.

The management team communicates with parents very efficiently. Team are welcoming and attentive. During the pandemic, parents are not allowed to enter the childcare centre rooms. Surprisingly, my younger one settles really well! Thanks to the team in Baby Room. My older one delight in her days in childcare centre and is consistently cheerful when I pick her up. Highly recommended! Both my younger and older kids are in this childcare centre.
