January 4, 2021 at 12:00 amThe nursery has been absolutely wonderful for my little boy. He joined when he was 11 months and he loves it. The staff are kind but also work to help with discipline and growth. They are thoughtful and have really developed relationships with my son. He is very happy at the nursery and is thriving there. During the pandemic, the nursery have worked so hard to keep everything running. I would really recommend Bright Horizons Saffron Walden.

May 4, 2021 at 12:00 amOur daughter started at the nursery in August 2020. She has settled in really well and all the staff have been extremely nice and caring. We couldn’t have hoped for a better place for our daughter in her early years. She absolutely loves it and has a lot of fun every single day.
We would really recommend this nursery. Everything is perfect, the food, the staff, the care and the activities.

May 4, 2021 at 12:00 amMy little one absolutely loves it at this nursery, when I ask her in the mornings if she’s ready to go to nursery she runs to put her shoes on. The staff are all so friendly and put up with me phoning daily when she first started, just for me to hear that she was happy and doing well. She especially loves playing outside and is getting so confident in all the skills she’s learning. We get daily feedback on how her day was, what she played with, what she ate and nappy changes. I walk away each morning knowing I can trust that they’ll nurture my baby.

May 4, 2021 at 12:00 amMy eldest, whom is now in Reception, started here when she was two and a half. Straight away she and us were made to feel like an extension of the family. Now my youngest whom is eighteen months old is also here and we couldn’t be happier. Her needs are met, physically and emotionally and communication between them and us has remained open and consistent. The team have excelled over the past twelve months, dealing with day to day changes in legislation due to Covid-19. The nursery is always clean, the security and safety of all children is of paramount importance and the staff are wonderful. They all care and it is a privilege to be a part of what feels like a home from home for both of my children. A huge thank you to each and everyone of you.

May 4, 2021 at 12:00 amMy little boy always has a lovely time at nursery, the staff are friendly, caring and plan lots of fun activities to stimulate them. Given the recent challenges of lockdown and the fact he hasn’t been able to socialise as normal, the staff have taken the time to integrate him at his own pace and make him feel comfortable and because of this he has settled in brilliantly.

May 10, 2021 at 12:00 amWe chose Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Crocus Early Years Centre as it was right next to where I work but we were so lucky that it turned out to be the perfect place! My daughter has loved going since day one in the baby room and as soon as she is past the gate she doesn’t even look back. They all seem to know her well, not just her key worker, everyone who works there says a hello whenever they see her and seems to know her by name. The manager was really kind, sympathetic and accommodating when I reduced down a day as I was struggling with being away from her so much. I would recommend to anyone. I know she’s always safe and happy there.

May 10, 2021 at 12:00 amOur son has settled in really well at the nursery. The staff have been so helpful with our queries, are really friendly and communicate regularly with any updates. He runs into the nursery every morning and is clearly very happy to be there! We couldn’t ask for more.

May 11, 2021 at 12:00 amOur second child is currently going through Crocus Bright Horizons and we really can’t speak highly enough about the care he receives and the experience that he has at the nursery. He looks forward to every day that he spends there and we are happy to leave him with the team, who are helpful, kind and experienced. We have seen extremely low turnover of staff and the manager has always tried to help us with our every request. As a working parent, it’s a relief to have a nursery like Crocus to help with our childcare and we would highly recommend it to all.

May 25, 2021 at 12:00 amWe are so happy our daughter got a place here. From the first phone call to one year later we could not be happier, despite the pandemic. I trust all members of staff implicitly. They are confident, caring and fun but all so professional at the same time. They are open and reassuring too. We can go for weeks without needing to speak in detail but some days (like today) if they have a concern they raise it and I know how closely they will monitor my daughter and communicate. It’s a really special team and we’re so lucky to have them. (I should mention the fact that our daughter loves going full time too and is learning/playing/socialising lots.) Thank you!

My little one has been going to the nursery for over a year now. Absolutely loves every minute of it! Very happy and settled, whilst encouraged to build solid relationships with staff and other children.
My little ones’ capability and learning has excided considerably due to the activities and time the staff have dedicated, whilst also the compassion and empathy that is shown at all times are outstanding. Staff are always there supporting parents, offering sound advice and knowledge if needed, whilst working with the parent for the benefit of the child. The flexibility and support the staff have provided for us, as a family has been truly amazing. We, as a family, appreciate every single one of you and thank you for everything you have provided us with, throughout this past year. Your time, support, advice fun and laughter has been utterly brilliant!

May 25, 2021 at 12:00 amWe chose Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Crocus Early Years as it is local for us but also highly recommended by friends. Our son started the nursery in August 2020, he has settled in really well and we are really delighted with his progress. The staff have been absolutely brilliant in helping to learn and develop new skills and most importantly encouraging him with social interaction. He hasn’t been around other children before and for him to say he enjoys going and playing with the other children listing off their names he has played with is so comforting for us. We can’t thank the Pre-school team enough because they are always friendly, polite and communicates with us regularly especially if we have any queries. They go the extra mile.

June 28, 2021 at 12:00 amI am very pleased that my son attends the Crocus Early Years Centre, staff are very caring and dedicated to the needs of the children and the resources are diverse and fun. My eldest daughter attended the nursery for 4 years, and we made the decision to give our son the same learning environment (despite the extra commute), as we know the setting is just excellent! Big thanks to the great manager and her super team!

July 8, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter joined the nursery in February 2021 needing 121 care during her 2 year funded hours there. Going to nursery has done so much for her confidence, and knowing she is mixing with other children and having fun is all I’ve ever wanted as her mummy! She had a difficult start in life but you wouldn’t believe it now! She’s come so far during her time at nursery, and I love hearing what she’s been up to when it is time to come home! I couldn’t ask for a better team to be looking after her!

August 8, 2021 at 12:00 amI wouldn’t hesitate to recommend – I had both my children in the toddler and preschool room and my youngest in the baby room as well so have been using the nursery for a few years. I found it miles better than another I tried and have been really happy with the care of all the staff and impressed with the responsiveness of the management when communicating. I was confident both my children were safe and happy when there and staff worked hard to ensure they felt as secure and content as possible. I would highly recommend it.

At this nursery, I’ve found the most helpful team on my nearly 6 years of childcare experience as a mum.
I had my oldest son in another Bright Horizons nursery before and I was already happy with them. When we move to Saffron Walden a year ago, I was confident I’d be happy having my youngest at the nursery… But my expectations were never this high. My daughter has been there since last September. When she started here… I thought she was going to struggle, as she changed house, city, environment and nursery in a blink of time. She had doubts about going inside the first day… And that was all it took. So on top of being the happiest girl we had a little (massive) issue when our payments got “lost”. Imagine the stress. But the manager found out the problem and help with the resolution rapidly. All is under such a great control and knowledge that I would vote her for PM… It is a great safe place for everyone!

I can not recommend this nursery enough, everyone is so lovely and helpful, always there when you need them. It’s been a tough year for little ones and they made it feel somewhere they can still go and have fun, my little boy used to count down the days till he went back.

May 16, 2022 at 12:00 amOur boy has been going to Bright Horizons, since September 2021. He is currently in the preschool room. When he first started, he was quiet, not very confident and quite a shy little boy. Since his time at Bright Horizons, he has grown in so many areas, his confidence has grown massively and he interacts, not only with the children but with the adults there too. His speech and words have come on a lot and he now knows his alphabet and numbers really well. Our son is always excited about going to school and never has he felt unsettled or uneasy going into nursery. He will miss Bright Horizons when he has to leave in July to start his journey in big school. We, as parents to our son, have loved watching him grow as a person and could not recommend Bright Horizons enough. The staff and management have been brilliant and always try to cater for your needs and your child’s needs, in the best way possible.

August 8, 2022 at 12:00 amThe staff here are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. My little boy is so well looked after and has a lovely time. He needs reassurance when he first arrives and the staff are always ready with a cuddle for him.

August 17, 2022 at 12:00 amI couldn’t speak more highly of the management and entire staff at Bright Horizons Saffron Walden – every single person that has looked after or interacted with our daughter has been fantastic right through the baby room to preschool (even during the pandemic when despite times being really tough for the staff, it was clear that the kids came first always). You can see from drop off / pick up times how happy all the children at Bright Horizons are, and my daughter thinks of / speaks about her teachers almost as her friends. They give close support, kindness and encouragement to her and regularly keep us updated via the app on her daily activities/progress. I also love how they empower her, giving her opportunities to take the lead in helping to organise activities, look after her friends, tidy up etc. She is just about to leave for school and is a really happy, confident girl. So grateful to the team.
