Bright Horizons Northcote Road Day Nursery and Preschool

Our daughter has been in the baby room (0 to 2 years old) for almost a year now. We could not be happier with the care that has been provided by the whole team, including the food provided by the cook. It is a weight off our minds that our daughter is so well looked after and so happy. The staff are extremely pleasant and kind and I feel really provide individually tailored care for each child, and are so interested in them as little individuals too. It is a lovely community. I could not recommend this nursery more highly.

My daughter has attended Bright Horizons Northcote Road for over a month now and I am so happy we chose it. The staff are so nurturing and caring and it has a real homely feel inside. The activities throughout the day are excellent and they always go the extra mile to keep the little ones entertained. Five stars, I would give more if I could!

My three-year-old daughter recently joined the Northcote Road branch and has settled in incredibly well. I had concerns when she moved from her previous nursery as she was really set in her routine and had some great friendships etc. Those concerns were quickly gone as she settled in incredibly well. The staff really do take their roles seriously and have unique ways to ensure the children are learning and developing in ways that suit their personalities and learning methods. I would like to take the time to acknowledge a certain member of staff, as I feel that she is so passionate every day and brings a certain level of energy to the classroom which must be challenging some days, but yet every day she is there with a huge smile on her face. The app is great and I love that we’re able to see pictures and are aware of what our daughter is eating daily, however, I would say it is often hard to tell exactly how much food she has had as the children ‘dish up’ their own meal. Our son has settled in so well here and staff are so friendly. He enjoys a range of activities and is building great relationships with staff. Staff are very competent and very much care about our son’s development.

Being a first-time mother, I didn’t know what to expect when I sent my daughter to nursery at 6.5 months old, and I’ve been so pleasantly surprised. After only a few weeks, the staff at Bright Horizons Northcote Road feel like an extension of our family. They send us pictures and updates throughout the day and log all activities in an app, which I love. All food is tracked in a document, signing off each ingredient as she tries them at home, providing extra reassurance for potential allergens. All children go outside to play at some point in the day, rain or shine. You wouldn’t know it from the entrance, but there’s a very large garden behind the building. If you have any questions at all, I’d recommend talking to the manager. She’s so lovely, warm, and always smiling – basically, she’s the main reason we chose this nursery to begin with. No question was ever too silly – and I had plenty! Everyone who works there is so lovely. I simply cannot recommend this nursery highly enough!

Excellent support from the management and baby room team throughout. Very happy with the development of my son so far. A thriving environment for the kids and excellent care. Overall, very pleased with the progression.

My daughter started in the baby room a little over a month ago. She took some time to settle but the staff were extremely patient and loving towards her and now she is very happy there. I really appreciated how they went out of their way to reassure me that she was doing okay and making progress. Her key person has been wonderful and the communication via the app on her daily activities is excellent. The approachability of the front office staff and room carers has meant that there is an extremely communal feel to the place – which I love.
The facilities are always very clean and it’s been great to see that the staff try to take the children out to the wonderful outdoor garden whenever the weather permits. The variety of food and activities makes me feel good that we chose this nursery for our daughter.

Great nursery, very friendly staff. My daughter has been going there for seven months already and she really likes her group and her teachers. I appreciate the educational plan within the preschool curriculum, according to which I learn about my toddler’s progression in terms of her functional literacy acquirement and her preparation for school. I really like the personnel – people are enjoying their work and love working with children. I would recommend this nursery.

From the moment we had our nursery tour, it has always been clear that the group of people that work at the Northcote Bright Horizons are passionate about what they do and give 110%. We have been happy with everything since day one and our son loves it there and everyone who works there. He has thrived and picked up so much so quickly. The carers are all incredibly observant and caring.
Special mention to one staff member who is just a one of a kind person who goes out of her way to leave a lasting positive impression on everyone. We will be forever grateful for all her kindness.

We have just moved away from Clapham, and one of the things we will miss will be this nursery! Our daughter was in the baby room and then the under 2’s, and she came on such a lot in the time she was there. The team do so many lovely activities with the children, and they are really organised and nurturing – we always felt our girl was in safe and caring hands. Everyone seemed to know our daughter and her cheeky ways, and it always felt like we received a warm welcome from every single person whenever we went there. Huge thank you to the whole team!
