Situated in the heart of Manchester, close to Oxford Road train station, Bright Horizons Manchester Day Nursery and Preschool provides exceptional care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years. Our curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists, ensures that your child will have the best start to their schooling life, through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum designed by our own.
Our nursery has four age-specific rooms, each equipped with toys for optimal growth and learning. Each rooms include a dedicated space focusing on care, personal, social, and emotional development. The atrium, adjacent to the reception area, hosts a charming reading area and lending library. Home learning bags, containing season-specific or parent-recommended activities, are available in the atrium to support families. For instance, we create bags with potty training information in response to parents' requests and supporting partnership and communication between nursery and home. This room can also be used by parents for breastfeeding.

May 18, 2021 at 12:00 amOur son started nursery at Bright Horizons Manchester when he was 1. He easily settled thanks to the brilliant staff in the nursery. He loves the food and we see he is very happy there. We love that they genuinely care about his development and we work together to continue that hard work at home. In our case, it is a plus that they have Spanish/Italian staff that also support with language learning.
We would recommend it 100%.

I had three children at this nursery, one who is now in reception and two 21-month-old twins, who we have only moved to another nursery because we needed them to go to one closer to my daughter’s school. The activities and resources provided by the nursery are of a very high standard. The staff are friendly and approachable, and you can tell that they genuinely care about the children. The manager is absolutely brilliant – so organised and always looking for more ways to improve the nursery. The level of care provided is very high and all three of my children were very happy there. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

November 3, 2021 at 12:00 amI had three children at this nursery, my daughter who is now in Reception at school and my two 21-month-old twins boys. The only reason my twins no longer go to the nursery is that we needed to move them to a nursery closer to my daughter’s school. This is a very well run nursery with great facilities, which offers a high standard of activities for the children. My children learned a lot at this school. The preschool room also did a great job of making sure my daughter had all the skills she needed to be ready for school and gained so much confidence during her time at this nursery. My twins were very well looked after and happy in the baby room.

The ongoing communication has been great and they are extremely supportive he has come a long way in development with their help. My son loves being there and I feel so confident leaving him, it’s a real breath of fresh air.

They always go above and beyond their duties and we’re just very satisfied with our choice. And our daughter loves it there.

The staff are enormously helpful and supportive, always with a warm approach. We know we can rely on their vast breadth of knowledge and experience, and the systems they have in place to stay on top of all situations. We are kept fully up to date, not just with the brilliant app, which shows in real-time what is going on, but also with regular observation notes from her key worker, who is amazing. Our daughter is developing incredibly quickly with their support, and their well-planned curriculum means she has a wide range of different experiences. We would highly recommend.

October 24, 2022 at 12:00 amAmazing nursery. The staff are great and really genuinely care and love the children. Leaving your kids is always hard, but I always drop my son off with the sense I don’t have to worry because he is in great hands and very well looked after. He loves to come here and always has a great time. He gets three good very healthy and balanced meals. We love it. We came here because all of our neighbours came here. The choice was made during lockdown, we couldn’t even come and visit the nursery. No regrets whatsoever. Would highly recommend.

After having a bad experience with another private nursery we were worried but they have made us as parents and most importantly our son feel so welcome and so looked after.
Our son is encouraged to be himself and progress at his own rate.

October 28, 2022 at 12:00 amWe have a good number of local nurseries to choose from and Bright Horizons, Manchester came highly recommended from other parents we know and I would give the same high recommendations. If you are able to bring your child here, then do so. You will not be disappointed. The staff are fantastic, both professional and genuinely caring and attentive. The meals provided are varied and high quality. Children get a very good level of early start education and development. Pricewise the nursery is not the cheapest, but when you break it down to pounds per hour, the value for what is delivered is exceptional and I do not believe that you could either match that elsewhere or be able to achieve the same at home. I genuinely cannot find fault and would seriously recommend the nursery to any parent.

Just from him attending for two months I have seen so much progression in his speech, identification, focus and excitement to learn. The activities prepared for the children are so creative and interactive. So pleased with Bright Horizons and all staff!

The nursery has a proper structure in maintaining a routine, they update you very clearly of every hour your child spent in nursery. All carers are very caring and attentive in looking after the kids. Nursery is always clean and neat. Overall, very happy with the nursery.

February 2, 2023 at 12:00 amMy child has been going there for six months now, since she was 1 year old and she absolutely loves it. We get to see the different things she learnt there at home and for a very busy couple, this has been an absolute lifesaver as the nursery is lovely, the staff is amazing, food is great (we think she eats better there than home!) and she loves it there! I wouldn’t even think twice if I were you. The best part is, even though it is in the city centre, it is within a gated compound and therefore quite secure as well.

February 6, 2023 at 12:00 amBoth my children have come to the nursery from the age of 9 months old and they have both loved it. It is a caring and safe environment for them, where there is a big focus on teaching the children to be caring and understanding of the world around them. We’ve always been really happy with the service the nursery has provided. The only thing that would improve it would be more flexibility in occasional changes to regular days, but I understand this is all due to staffing plans.
