Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool

They are charging a premium price for an adequate service, unfortunately, due to the demand in the area they are able to get away with this. My kids were at this nursery for a total of 3 years and I was extremely disappointed with it. * Seemed to use internet on the smart screen in the class a lot in pre-centre. * Lack of parents evenings. * Although not big issues they are not providing the exceptional service you may expect from the fees which we are charged. Key Issues:
* Failed to take the little ones out into the garden (I raised this as an issue several times, addressed initially then reverted back)
* Pre-centre, I personally feel that the teaching within this room was limited. * Some truly excellent team, but others were not extremely excellent. * Only additional class – tots sports which is only once every two weeks (again I would expect more for the cost, for example, a language class).

We should have chosen this nursery years ago! Thanks for all you do for us and for all your understanding! We only joined last month as our previous nursery was failing in its duty of caregiving. The manager and team go above and beyond to make my son feel content, welcome and settled. Team are nurturing, loving and have an eye for detail. The daily updates, the feedback and the individual time spent per youngster is remarkable. With only a month to go before reception, I genuinely wish I’d moved my son here earlier. Within a few weeks, he has learned more than in a full year of preschool somewhere else.

Our son has been at the nursery for eighteen months now and absolutely loves it. He has formed such a special bond with the team and the other kids and is excited to go to nursery in the morning. We have had some delightful cards and pictures home‑like! The team are incredible and seem to create fantastic activities and games for the kids. Would definitely highly recommend!

My daughter started going to the preschool in this nursery from January after spending more than 3 years in another Bright Horizons nursery. The team has been extremely excellent to get her settled and overall she is extremely content in the new setting with all the carers and the activities she does.

The ease of all food, nappies, milk (when/if still having formula) etc being provided is also not to be underestimated, we found! We are so glad that we did – he loves it there and the team have built truly strong relationships with him – he talks about them all the time, despite only attending twice a week. Fantastic caregiving, supportive flexibility/assistance from the office if needed and a sense that the team genuinely adore the little ones means we’re truly content with Crofton. We sent our son to Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery despite living opposite another local nursery as we absolutely felt on viewing both, that Crofton seemed such as a happier, more homely place and that we would be more comfortable leaving our son there, despite a much less convenient location for our commutes. The caregiving that he receives there means that even as someone who tends to worry naturally and as someone who works in education and so knows exactly what can go wrong/be difficult, I am extremely content sending him in each day.

We have been with the nursery for three years, and we adore it! Our youngster can’t wait for Monday so that he gets to go back to the nursery. All team take their work seriously and show genuine attachment to the kids. Standard of development, for kids of all ages, is brilliant. The team is professional and responsible. We have had mainly the same carers for all the three years – which is fantastic for little kids who get extremely attached to people. Food is delicious and nutritious. Extra activities are enjoyable.

Emails take an age to be responded to and a lot of the time have multiple errors! We adored this nursery back when our oldest youngster started there but in the last two years, we feel that the standards (especially updates) are poor.

We have seen such a big change in him – being social, eating independently, and even starting to potty train! I had to give up his place with a heavy heart as I am off work now, but he looks forward to going back sometime in the future. He’s adored going in each morning, greeting the carers, giving them a cuddle and seeing his friends. My son started at Crofton Day Caregiving when he was 9 months old and he is now 22 months. All credit to the delightful carers in both the baby and toddler rooms, who engage with the youngster individually and understand their unique personality. I would highly highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

My little boy started in the September after he was 2 for 2 short days a week – this has been fantastic for him and me especially during the pandemic. I am truly content with the nursery and think the team are all remarkable.

Thank you Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool. I also had to mention about parent logins and invoices which were admin queries. We didn’t get off to a fantastic start, I had to make a few complaints about regular nappy changes and making sure they were done properly. My son has been going to Bright Horizons Crofton Day Nursery and Preschool for quite a while now, he loves playing with the other kids and he is quite attached to his room leader, his key worker and his second key worker, which makes me feel at ease knowing he feels secure at nursery. He now goes in without crying and I have seen him playtime in his room with the educators, other kids and he loves it. Finally, not actually being shown round the nursery fully or properly was another issue but the manager has now fully sorted this and I am more than content to keep my youngster there until he is ready for centre.
