Bright Horizons Callands Day Nursery and Preschool

Amazing nursery, with amazing staff who accommodate the needs of each individual child. My son absolutely loves nursery and always comes out at the end of each day very happy. He started in babies and is now in preschool. The support he got from the staff as he was transitioning into each room, was amazing and I can’t thank the staff enough.

My little one has been here for nearly a year and we are so impressed. The staff are very friendly and also easy to talk to. The transition to toddlers was great and they understood that it was difficult for me to leave him. My little boy really enjoys coming and has a brilliant relationship with his key worker. He sings songs from nursery and always waves goodbye after his day. Really appreciate all of the staff for all their hard work.

Callands Day Nursery and Preschool is a wonderful nursery, having transferred from another nursery, my daughter settled straight away. The staff are exceptional, they take the time to build genuine relationships with the children and families. My daughter happily skips into the nursery and tells me about all her friends when she comes home every day. A wonderful nursery, highly recommend it.

My grandchild started as a very shy child who wouldn’t speak to anyone. She is now a confident child who just walks straight in. The staff are perfect with her and always fill you in on their day. Always comes out happy and chatty.

Lovely nursery, lots of different, unusual tasks set up for the children to use/play with. Lots of things they wouldn’t do/use at home. Lots of encouragement for good manners/sharing with others etc.
Staff members are all very kind and patient with children.
My child was so excited to show me everything and show me around and we had a lovely afternoon.

Absolutely amazing staff at Bright Horizons Callands. They are truly fabulous in every room. They are supportive, amazing in everything they do and go above and beyond for each of my children that attend. They all make our lives easier every morning on drop off as each of my children love going in as they know they get lots of time and attention they need.

Although my son loves going to nursery, but I feel lack of staff in terms of taking care of kids, kids playing in the rain, coming home with dirty socks, not enough encouraging to wash hands after playing in garden, and lack of vegetarian options for food and not encouraging toilet trained kids to use the toilet. My son holds it for all 5 hours he stays in the nursery each day.

After a rocky start, my son is more than happy at the nursery. The staff have been patient, understanding and given me confidence in knowing my son is well cared for. He evidently learns a lot and likes to show off his new skills at home.

We love this nursery, as a family, and our little girl is so happy here. She loves the staff and talks about them all the time at home. The app makes it reassuring to know what she has been doing that day and what she’s eaten. The management team are really accommodating and welcoming. Any questions I have are answered by staff. The staff all have a good knowledge of all the children and are really friendly. Our daughter enjoys playing in the garden as there is so much space to explore. I would recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare.

The menu needs to be addressed, a lot of the food is served with sauce. It is nice to be diverse and offer foreign type foods but plain foods with the option of sauces might be better.
The past week or so on collection the staff have not offered any feedback on my little ones progress during the day. I could have walked in and walked out with my child, literally unnoticed!
