Bright Horizons Bristol Day Nursery and Preschool

A very warm, friendly and social environment that supports my child. I can tell my child has a lot of fun and looks forward to seeing their key person and nursery friends and is learning a lot too.

Couldn’t think of sending my son anywhere else! This nursery is great and all the staff are amazing.
The staff are always there to help, answer any questions you have and most of all are amazing with all the children.

My child has only been going to nursery for two months, but I already feel very comfortable with the welcome he has had and how well the staff have got to know him. I have seen a huge growth in his confidence and independence and trust of other adults. The staff keep a very close eye on him and are very quick to pick anything up that is not right.

We are an Indian Family and our son did not speak English when he joined the pre-school. He got used to the school quite soon as the school has all the support for non-English speaking children to understand the necessary instructions. We were worried at first, but the caring and nurturing environment has been very supportive for my son. He has become very confident in the school and in his skills. He is generally very curious and the environment of the school has been quite satisfying for his curiosities on an everyday basis. They also do not adhere to a strict routine for all children but give attention to the child’s interest. This is quite an ideal place for the children to be very comfortable within the environment. Their activities are also very interesting and creative for the little minds. Some of the caregivers also give comforts whenever necessary as preschoolers are yet to be completely independent. I would highly recommend the nursery to any family I would come across.

What a lovely team. My daughter, who is now at school, attended Bright Horizons for 2.5 years and my son has been at the nursery for 6 months. Both children love the nursery and are excited to go. My boy, who is 14 months old, reaches for them when going in which is a huge relief to know that he’s pleased to go in. My daughter, who is in reception, still asks me if she can go back to the nursery from time to time. The staff are patient, kind and really enthusiastic and excited to spend time with the kids. The outside space is amazing and there is also a forest school for the older ones.

Great nursery and lovely staff and management. My son loves it here and they have helped with his development, he has made loads of friends and always leaves with a smile on his face, highly recommend.

Our son has been going to this nursery for almost a year, being a ‘pandemic baby’ my husband and I were nervous about the whole nursery experience! But Bright Horizon’s couldn’t have been more accommodating. We drive 15 mins to send our son there and twice have been offered nursery places closer to home, but always decline. We love the baby room, with its quiet nap space and now our son is in the toddler room. We love the outdoor space, he gets a lot of fresh air and his day is filled with fun activities. The nursery have an app where you can see how long they’ve slept, what they ate, photos from the day etc and as new ‘pandemic parents’ we really needed this. The staff are great and very focused on settling in and comforting. Also, they’re very quick at responding to emails and messages. You do pay a bit more for this nursery, but with flexible pick up and drop off times, this is essential for working parents! Thanks.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons for the last 4 months, and attends four days a week. My little one struggled with the transition, to begin with, the staff were nothing but kind and attentive and patient with my little one (and me!) and supported her with this big step. Fast forward to today and my daughter loves her nursery days and actively grabs her shoes ready to go on her days in. From a day-to-day aspect, the team are always happy to give a little update on what activities they’ve done during the day, but you also have the nursery app, where you can check in on your little one in relation to their food and sleep activity throughout the day. The meals are well thought out, with a wide variety provided week by week (with the bonus of not having to think about lunchboxes yourself). In addition, in the app, the room provides a weekly update against what they have done through the week i.e. water play, painting etc, which helps with ideas for home etc.

We have two children at Bright Horizons, Bristol Day Nursery and Preschool and are happy to give it a 5-star review for both. The team are excellent, kind and fantastically supportive. Our children have created real bonds with their key workers and look forward to seeing them every day. The setting is great and they love the outdoor space and pirate ship! Our, usually fussy, children love the food too. There is always a variety of interesting dishes (better than I do at home). The app is also noteworthy. It allows you to keep track of all the important events in the day like eating and sleeping and the team are really good at keeping this updated. Happy to recommend the nursery to prospective parents.

My daughter joined the baby room at seven months and really enjoys the nursery. The team really look after her, take care to develop her and keep her entertained! They are lovely to communicate with and really make me feel she’s safe and well cared for every time I drop her off.
