Blossom Lodge Day Nursery

The staff are lovely, but more importantly well trained and experienced. The children’s areas are well-appointed and maintained. The staff ensure that they do lots of interesting activities and really focus on development but in a fun way. I would happily recommend Blosson Lodge to anyone looking for a warm friendly, professional childcare facility, which is not an easy balance to get.

Our son has been attending Blossom Lodge for the past month and I couldn’t rave more about how wonderful the team have been in looking after him and in reassuring us first-time parents as he settles in. We had endless questions that they’ve always been more than happy to help with. Just awesome! The building itself is modern and full of a variety of rooms for all ages to keep them entertained and developing. We’ve had such a great experience so far and highly recommend this brilliant nursery.

Since day one I have been blown away by this nursery. We are always greeted with a smile at the door and sent away with a fantastic handover. My daughter waits by the door in the morning to go to nursery and talks about the staff and other children constantly. She has built some wonderful relationships. My daughter’s development has come on leaps and bounds since starting. I put this down to the incredible variety of activities on offer. Staff tell me which activities she particularly enjoys so I can replicate at home. One of the things that attracted me to Blossom Lodge Day Nursery was the outdoor space. I am thrilled that my daughter spends so much time in the garden. Throughout the day I receive photos, videos and updates so I know what my daughter has been up to. The photos always feature wonderful and happy faces. I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better start for my daughter. I would recommend Blossom Lodge Day Nursery to anyone.

Our youngest is currently at the nursery and our eldest spent three years there prior to school. Throughout this time the one constant at the nursery has been how excellent the staff have been in regards to how invested they are with the children. There are far too many to mention who were involved with the development of our eldest but currently two members of staff in particular are outstanding with our youngest. Most aspects of the nursery are good and we would highly recommend it but the staff certainly make the difference.

Fantastic nursery that provides so much for our little boy. Modern facilities, great garden, pets and fantastic communication. We have seen such a difference with how much our son has developed. Highly recommend.

We are extremely disappointed after putting our child into this nursery. The preschool room leader does not appear up to the job, other staff worked well with our child. At the end of his time, our child was scared and nervous when confronted by the room leader. Management didn’t take our concerns seriously, gave lots of excuses. Outdoor and indoor space and activities are very limited, especially for active children. Children are not as free to explore areas and develop. Food choice was good, varied menu with children encouraged to try everything.

Decided this was the perfect nursery for my son! This was the first place we viewed online and this was the nursery I found was right for my son!
He has learnt so much from Blossom Lodge! And not only that the staff are amazing and very helpful and respectful! This really is an amazing nursery!

My son started here at the end of last year in the baby group (now in toddler group) and he absolutely loves it. From day 1 he has got on with all the lovely staff and really ‘blossomed’ as a child. Due to Covid regulations, we wait by the door for their keyworker to get them. My boy literally brightens up as soon as he sees a staff member and often tries to push the door open desperate to get in and play. As soon as he sees his keyworker she gets an immediate hug which makes leaving him for work a lot easier. I get regular updates on what he’s up to via the Famly app and when we pick him up. I have so many lovely pictures and gifts from stuff he’s made in nursery. I had a tour of a few nurseries in Cheltenham and this one just shone above the rest, which my mum (retired nursery worker) also agreed. My son also had feeding issues when younger and the staff happily worked with me and his dietician which has led to him being a great eater with their help. I honestly can’t recommend enough.

The staff at Blossom Lodge are amazing! They took the time to get to know me and more importantly my son. They made a huge effort to help him settle in when he moved there from another setting. Since being at Blossom Lodge his confidence has grown hugely and he has made noticeable progress in all areas of development. Thank you to all the staff in the pre school room at Blossom Lodge!

Blossom Lodge have given us a mixed record. Constant staffing changes, often leads to poor communication and periods of no communication at all, this has meant events going on in the setting are not communicated. We’ve had key workers, room leaders and valued members of staff leave without a word from Blossom Lodge.
The setting itself seems to lack structure, which I would chalk up to constant staffing changes. Often clothes are lost or sent home with other children despite being labelled. Management seems unable to keep staff as more staff are leaving than join, constantly creating an unsettled place for your child to truly feel comfortable.
Good points, staff do genuinely care about children and staff do care about developing your child. The food is of good quality and I have no complaints.
In summary, Blossom Lodge is failing from the top down. It is clearly putting pressure on good staff members by making them pick up more work without guidance or rewards.
