My daughter at such a young age of 3 has excelled and become very independent. She can read, speaks well and understands so much that I am overwhelmed with the school’s methods of teaching.

The staff are supportive, parents are well informed and in the instance, my child has been upset, unwell or injured, I am notified straight away. I have nothing but praise for the high quality teaching my son gets, lots of peer to peer support and feedback via Class Dojo really makes me feel I am part of my son’s learning journey.

March 16, 2021 at 12:00 amSending my son to Leicester Preparatory was the best decision we ever made for him. It did take him a couple of weeks to settle in but his teachers were very caring and understanding. His teachers would message me throughout the day with pictures and updates regarding his settling in – there was always open communication with the staff. In just a short space of time, my son positively thrived in the creative and nurturing environment that the school has created for the children. He is now a confident, charismatic and independent little boy.

May 26, 2021 at 12:00 amVery happy my children are in this nursery. A lot of activities are going on there to shape the children’s learning in a good way. Like confidence class, French class, music, sports etc. My children are happy to be there. Encourage the staff to keep up the good work.

November 15, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son has made tremendous progress since the beginning of the term. He has grown to be a confident little boy acquiring life skills (from attending swimming with the school) as well as achieving his EYFS targets with no concerns due to the expected high standards of the school.
The Pre Reception Teacher has continuously kept me informed by effectively communicating his needs and progress allowing us to work together so he can truly flourish.
Overall, very very happy with the school, thank you for your efforts!

November 24, 2021 at 12:00 amI highly would recommend Leicester Preparatory. The care, learning, and support from the staff is amazing. My little boy has developed so well become very confident. He comes home using the teacher’s name and telling us what he has learned from them.
He has settled in well and the updates on class dojo are brilliant so you can see your little one having fun and enjoying their day.

November 24, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son started this nursery with very little English, and he was quite anxious in the beginning. Teachers handled this very well, and he quickly gained his confidence. I can see that in about 1-month he has developed a strong sense of belonging- seems very happy when I pick him up and clearly is very fond of his teachers and friends. Also very easy to communicate with the members of staff, they share photos of what children have been doing regularly-a few times a week and always quickly respond to my messages. Would definitely recommend this nursery.

November 24, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter loves her teachers, and they make her feel so welcomed and loved.
Every morning, the Head Teacher stands and greets every parent and child, which I appreciate a lot.
The standard of education is very high. I can see my daughter is learning something new week in week out. The school staff teach them the best things from manners to speaking clearly.
Whenever I have wanted to speak to the teachers, they always take the time out.
The best situation which I loved is when my daughter got poorly at school, the teacher was emailing me all weekend to ask about my daughter, even the Head Teacher called me on a Saturday to check how my daughter was.
Brilliant school and staff.

November 29, 2021 at 12:00 amBoth my boys go to this school and both love to go to the school. Always come back happy and have seen a huge progression in their speech and confidence. They’re well in advance when it comes to their education in comparison to other children their age. The teachers are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them. Always very informative and set clear goals for you to work on with your child at home.
The only concern I can think of is that the admin side of the school could be improved, we have had missing invoices and have had to refill forms, a prospective parent we recommended did not get calls back in regards to their interest in the school and some emails have been poorly written (if it wasn’t for the teachers at the school, this would be very off-putting to a parent). Also, the boys are not great fans of the school dinners, but on the other hand not having the option of a packed lunch has taught my boys to eat well by themselves.

My son started when he was three and I’ve already seen a progression with his social and communication skills. The staff are always encouraging and helping him to achieve with his writing and maths. The teachers are always available to speak to and no question is ever a problem. They are quick to respond via the class app too. I couldn’t be happier! Keep up the amazing work.

My son was extremely nervous and anxious about attending school after a previous bad experience at another nursery but the staff at Leicester Preparatory School Early Years have grown his confidence and contributed to a noticeable improvement in his development. They are caring, dedicated and genuinely invested in the development of your child. I couldn’t recommend them enough. Very academic school which incorporates play and fun well into the curriculum. 5 Stars to all the staff and the headmistress.

The teachers here are doing a great job and from what I can tell my child has a good relationship with the teachers which is very helpful. Class Dojo keeps us updated of how our child is doing at school which is lovely to see what they are like in a school environment.

February 1, 2023 at 12:00 amSo far my experience as a parent of Leicester Preparatory School Nursery has been amazing- parent communication is well thought through and information related to my child is always relayed in a timely manner.
Staff are amazing at what they do, always keeping the children’s interest and safety as number one. My son has settled in really well and enjoys the variety of clubs such as specialist sports, pantomime club etc.
Thank you to all staff for their hardwork and efforts!

The daily feedback that I get especially from the class teacher is really good and comprehensive, please continue doing that.

The school is very flexible with our last-minute needs. The children are encouraged to explore and learn. My daughter is excited about her phonics and numbers. I can see the difference in how confident she is over the last 7 months. Highly recommended!

He looks forward to going in and showing his teacher things he’s done in the class. We’re really thankful we found this place.

I am not surprised with how the teachers and the children have welcomed her, as my three older children loved their time at Berties Nursery at LPS. They enjoyed every moment in their early years at LPS and they reached their full potential. It’s an outstanding school!

June 27, 2023 at 12:00 amOur daughter is very young for her year and we were keen to find a pre school for her to attend from 2 that had a little more education focus and structure than a traditional pre school or nursery to stand her in good stead for when she starts school; we are absolutely delighted with her progress, learning and the way the staff are at Berties Nursery at LPS. Almost want to keep it a secret so it doesn’t get overly full! Already enrolled our youngest to start in December and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
