They’ve consistently been sensitive to our kid’s needs and let them grow and develop at their own pace. The outside space is excellent so the kids have loads of time to run around and explore and they’ve recently started doing more outings with the kids. They split the kids up by age but there are a lot of opportunities for the kids to mix, especially in the outside space. They have a great balance of free playtime and slightly more structured activities to assistance their development. I’ve been so impressed with the enthusiasm and commitment of the team at Bear’s House.

All the team are lovely and the manager is incredible! Excellent feedback from team every day. Very sad to be leaving Bear’s House and we will miss it very much. They have excellent outdoor space and consistently have enjoyable activities for the kids. They have also been excellent with following the new guidelines with the new restrictions in place. Overall a excellent childcare centre that I will miss when we move. Thank you to all the team and management for taking great care of my daughter. My kid has been at Bear’s House since she was 2 and she has loved it there so much, she’s consistently so excited to go!

There is a great mix of internal and external playtime. Recently they have also started to take the kids out on field trips. We have also found the tapestry system to be very useful for being kept updated. Monthly newsletters are also very supportive. Most importantly we have found all the team to be welcoming, attentive and to genuinely have the interest of the kids as a priority. Our daughter has been at Bear’s House (formerly Strawberry Hill) for three and a half years and has enjoyed herself immensely.

Compassionate supportive team, large playtime area (mud kitchen is my son’s favourite area of course!). Healthy food and snacks. Very cheerful with our journey here. Remarkable childcare centre.

Our son is now three and has attended since he was 8 months old. The team continue to display a dedicated and attentive approach to their work and are creative in their planning of activities.
There have been developments to the outside areas and buildings which we appreciate. The kids are engaging in Forest schools and are getting out to parks, museums, farms and elderly residential homes in recent months to broaden their experiences. The use of Tapestry has developed reporting, which along with daily feedback helps us keep in touch with how our son is doing. Recent introduction of an onsite kitchen means the kids are benefiting from healthy fresh varied meals eaten communally which I really value. Most of all he is so cheerful to be there which is most valuable to me! We have been delighted with the recent developments at Strawberry Hill.

My eldest attended the preschool until last summer and he loved the remarkable outside space, the outings and the enjoyable team.
My youngest is currently in the baby room and it’s excellent that it’s a small childcare centre so I sense that he gets lots of attention and has settled easily. There are lots of activities daily and my youngest’s Key Worker, in particular, goes to excellent lengths to care for him just how I would like by following his home routine and paying particular attention to what he likes to eat. Nothing is too much trouble and I sense like we belong to the Bears House family. Both my boys have been very cheerful here.

The team are very welcoming and attentive, and they plan a enjoyable and challenging activities for the kids, and the manager strives to have a positive and open relationship with families. I really welcome all the many improvements to the childcare centre’s site and provision, including updating the buildings, enhancing the large garden and playtime area, taking the kids on enrichment trips into the local community, visiting with elderly people in a local care home, going on museum trips, and attending a Forest School programme of playtime and discovering in Nature. Fresh healthy food is provided from their kitchen which has an impressive 5* hygiene rating. The rate of fees is competitive for the area. My son is very cheerful here, which is the most important thing. My kid is very cheerful at Strawberry Hill and is thriving there.

The setting was pleasant but we had some issues with a couple of the childcare centre assistants, these were based in professionalism and attitude. The manager was also a problem, so much so that we were looking to move nurseries.
When the childcare centre changed hands and became Bear’s House they quickly got rid of the manager and instilled a new one, who turned the childcare centre around. Bear’s House is now a place I would suggest to any parent. Supportive, attentive and expert describe all team. Spotless, modern and well equipped describe the childcare centre. When my daughter started at Bear’s House Childcare centre, Brighton it was known by a different name.

I cannot fault the members of team, and especially her key worker. They all do exceptional jobs and my daughter talks so positively of her experiences at the childcare centre. I do worry about the team turnover, and occasionally I haven’t been introduced to new members of team, but they all seem welcoming and welcoming. My daughter’s development is beyond what I could have ever imagined and this is due to the activities, relationships and communications that the childcare centre offers and assistance with. My daughter has had worries with her diet, and the childcare centre have been open about these and amended her menu to suit her needs immediately. I have absolutely no concerns regarding my daughter, and cannot rave highly enough for Bear’s House Childcare centre, Brighton. I have loved the childcare centre from the moment my daughter began here when she was 9 months old.

My son loves it and enjoys the interaction with all the kids he is one, my 3-year-old girl has such bonds with the room leaders and has developed friendships. They hosted a Mother’s Day afternoon tea which was super lovely to see my kids in their childcare centre setting and to spend time with the practitioner and other mums.
I highly suggest the childcare centre they adore your kids like their own and encourage growth and development through playtime. My kids adore it so I adore it. Since going to Strawberry Hill both my kids have developed leaps and bounds.

I usually have to bribe him to come back home.
The management keeps on improving all aspects of care and there is a big feeling that all plans are made with the kids at the very heart. Highly recommended. My 2-year-old boy feels cheerful and settled in this lovely childcare centre.

The team is incredible, compassionate and loving. There is so much going on that it is a very stimulating setting and interesting. In the last six months, they have organised day visits to local parks, the Pavillion, toy museum, and other visits that teach kids to be in different environments and situations and build remarkable memories.
The food is prepared onsite and is balanced, varied and flexible, so if the kids do not like it they can change it straight away, no need to wait for the “new menu” in six months time.
It is a very welcoming setting that enables all kids to grow at their own pace. An incredible setting, where my kid has been for the last three years.

Despite the disruption caused by Covid the team were consistently incredible and put on imaginative activities every day to encourage the kids to learn and playtime. It is a lovely setting with a remarkable outdoor space, the updates from team and management was consistently great and our daughter loved the food so much that she would be upset if she got picked up before tea time. Our daughter absolutely loved her time at Bears House.

I can’t express how grateful I am to everyone at Bear’s House Childcare centre, Brighton for taking such fantastic care of my baby.
After a day filled with a range of activities, my daughter comes home from childcare centre with a smile on her face.
The management and team of team are consistently on hand to offer detailed feedback, going above and beyond.
Having gone back to work full time, I am reassured to know that she is being looked after so well.

My daughter seemed to have quite an extreme separation anxiety which meant the settle-in period lasted for a long time and involved a lot of loud screaming but the team and manager were incredible and allowed us to go at our own pace and offered much-appreciated guidance.
Now my daughter is settled, she has an absolutely fantastic time, and we couldn’t be more delighted with the care she receives. The team know her really well, and she is allowed the space to be herself.
In addition to the fantastic team, the manager is an absolute gem. Her office is consistently open and situated in the middle of the shared outdoor space. I have found her to be incredibly approachable, expert and responsive, and, like many of the team, driven by a deep understanding of kid development.
Thanks, Bear’s House, for giving it 100%, even single day. We are delighted with Bear’s House.

They will go above and beyond in every single situation and they are enthusiastic and expert in everything they are involved in.
We have seen our little one flourish and grow in this setting and we sense blessed we found them.
The space is incredible for our little one as there is a huge outside area that is easily accessible whenever he wants and the inside rooms are spotless and organized for all sorts of activities every day.
Management is going above and beyond with any sort of request and they follow every single kid enthusiastically as they development through their development. It is obvious the work ethic and enthusiasm they have is trickling down to the rest of the team. We could not be happier with the assistance and interest that this childcare centre and the incredible team are giving to us and our kid.

He has a excellent bond with all the workers and talks about them at home too. There have been some really exciting developments in terms of more visits to new places and Forest School activities in the garden, and he has been trying lots of delicious sounding food for meals. I adore that they are spending so much time outdoors as well now the weather is nicer. My son is really cheerful at Strawberry Hill and we have recently increased the amount of days he attends.

My youngest took several weeks to settle in, but the team were very supportive, and updates was outstanding. This is my second journey at Bear’s House after my eldest kid enjoyed it so much.
