Alphabet House Day Nursery

An absolutely fantastic nursery and pre-school. The outdoor space is amazing and the range of activities available to the children is second to none. Highly recommend, the staff are wonderful and my baby loves it.

Great outdoor space used regularly. Warm, friendly staff who take the time to get to know the children and families. Very inclusive, would highly recommend.

Our son has had such a wonderful foundation in Alphabet House. Over the past four years, the staff have been extraordinary. He has absolutely flourished, the activities are exciting, well-organised and educational. The French, dance and forestry sessions are such a wonderful supplement to an already brilliant stimulating day. I have always felt that he feels safe and loved and the staff are fantastic in feeding back to parents. Thank you to Alphabet House our little boy is becoming a confident and independent school by and we could not be more grateful.

Alphabet House is an amazing pre-school. They make amazing effort to help the children settle in. Our daughter cried the first day. She was made to feel so welcome she asked to go back the second day. She has made lots of friends and has built amazing relationships with the staff. We have recommended Alphabet House to others.

My son has attended the preschool for over a year and his confidence has improved no end. He has difficulty with his speech but this has not held him back. With the support of his key worker and the other staff, his speech improved and became more clear. I cannot thank the staff enough he never wants to come home at the end of the day.

All three of my children have come through this nursery and my oldest two still talk friendly of their time there. The staff here are brilliant, very supportive and provide a loving and caring environment – for the parents as well as the children.

We’ve been very impressed with the nursery staff and range of activities they offer. Both our children love attending, as every day is different and they have a great rapport with their key members of the team (pre-school and toddlers).

Fantastic nursery my son has felt at home from his first day. He is visibly excited when we pull up outside the nursery in the morning. The variety of activities they do with the children is brilliant and they have all formed a great connection with my son. Their procedures and management is simple and helpful, no issue or question is too great. This nursery is a second home to my son and I feel so comfortable leaving him there.

We have recently moved to Lady Bay and our little boy has started preschool 2 days a week. The transition from his last school has been great. The Manager and all the preschool team were welcoming, caring and went out of their way to ensure that our son settled. The variety of activities is really great and the kids are able to both learn and be nurtured. The food is served is super yummy too and is great knowing they eat healthily every day.

We have been very happy with the nursery so far. The staff made a real effort to ensure our daughter settled in her first few weeks and were patient and understanding with us as parents. The staff in the baby room seem to have genuine and caring relationships with the babies and notice and report on little things which are reassuring. We have been impressed with the range of activities creative, learning, outdoor and our little girls really looks forward to being there which says it all.

I find the staff supportive, open and friendly. Very satisfied.

I am really pleased with Alphabet House, I feel that my daughter is very happy and developing well. The staff are superb and the nursery has a real good feel about it. There are lots of toys/activities for the children. I am so pleased that the children also visit the local farm on a regular basis. My daughters key worker is wonderful and I would certainly recommend this nursery to friends.

My daughters keyworker is very supportive in meeting my daughters needs. She communicated my childs targets very clearly and advised me on additional information to enhance her development at home. She clearly talked me through the daily routine and advised me on how she measures her progression and development.

What sold this nursery to us was the staff and the visits to Alphabet House Day Nursery.
My little boy started in August – he cried when I dropped him off and again when I fetched him but six weeks in and I don’t even get chance to take his coat off before he’s walking over to one of the ladies for a hug. I love that he’s enjoying himself and learning new things daily. Pretty sure he enjoys the food too!

We cannot speak highly enough of all the staff and the Alphabet House team since our daughter has been attending. The care and attention they have shown has been outstanding and we would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to our friends.

My twin boys started at Alphabet House in March 2019 after the closure of their last nursery. I was worried about them starting at a different nursery at 2 and a half years old, but I didn’t need to be. They settled into the toddler room easily and are now progressing into the pre-school room. I love that they have access to the farm next door, there is a variety of food available and they are looked after by dedicated staff.

My son started at Alphabet House when he was just 3-months-old and I cannot speak highly enough of how the whole team there made both him and I feel welcomed and safe in a homely family environment, especially given his young age.
Every member of staff has such a genuine love for what they do and a personal connection to the children.
Their handling of the uncertain and unpredictable time we are currently navigating with coronavirus has been both calm and strategic – always keeping the health and well-being of the children, their families and the staff at the forefront of all decisions.
Being a new mum and having not come from a family who use the services of a nursery, I was unsure what to expect. But Alphabet House have superseded every expectation that I had and in a relatively short space of time really feel like an extension of our family.

My son started the nursery in June and has come on in leaps and bounds with his learning and communication. He really enjoys playing with the other children and staff, and they always give him a warm welcome when he arrives.

This is a lovely nursery, it’s so cosy and every detail of the setting is thought through to get the best out of the children. All the staff are friendly and make you feel like your child is the only child. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat and my little girl has absolutely thrived.

My daughter has just started at Alphabet House in Lowdham, I was really worried about how she would settle in due to being a lockdown baby and not been socialised much. But the staff at Alphabet House were lovely. They put us all at ease and made the transition so easy. My daughter absolutely loves it there and has seemed to settle in beautifully. The staff in the baby room have been so good at meeting her needs and send lovely photos on the app, so I can see how she’s getting on. I would recommend anyone who is looking for childcare to contact Alphabet House. It’s perfect.

I have 2 children at Alphabet House and they both started attending from about 7 months. It’s been so nice to watch my eldest progress through the rooms and develop. All of the staff are so friendly and you can tell they care about the children. They plan different activities for each day and I really enjoy looking at the photos on the online learning portal. Nothing is too much trouble and they cater for my children’s individual needs.

The staff are outstanding and make every day varied and fun for my child. He has developed so quickly since he started attending this nursery. The food is healthy and varied, and the children are encouraged to make their own choices by self serving food (at an appropriate age). Communication from the staff caring for my son each day is fantastic. This also applies to any communication with the manager, with quick replies to any queries. I couldn’t recommend this nursery highly enough.

I cannot thank the staff in the baby room at Alphabet House enough for making my daughter’s first month at nursery so amazing! Even though she’s missed a few days of nursery due to illness she has come on so much in this time and settled in so well. I love that all members of staff take the time to talk you through the day on pick up so you get an insight into what they’ve been doing/eating etc and for a first-time-mum who’s had massive ‘mum guilt’ about sending their 1-year-old to nursery this has been so helpful. A special mention to several members of staff, in particular, you’re all so lovely! Thank you Alphabet House!

We cannot rate Alphabet House highly enough! My 11-month-old daughter started at nursery in the new year. We had never left her before so was nervous to see how she would settle. The staff have been amazing from day one with helping her settle and easing our nerves about leaving her. They asked about her routine and what she enjoys doing to try and make her feel as happy and comfortable at nursery as possible. She has been off a few days due to illness but she is always happy to return to nursery to see the staff and see the other children. We also love seeing her weekly online posts to see all the wonderful activities she has been doing during the week.

After an unsettling time for my little one whose previous nursery was very suddenly closed, I chose Alphabet House. She has settled so quickly and seems to have made some good development progress in the short time she has been there. She is happy to attend, tells me lots of wonderful things that she’s done, and even better the nursery regularly updates progress through an online system. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and making the transition so easy. From day one I knew I had made the right choice.
