October 24, 2024 at 5:16 amThe best in the area of Edinburgh by far. I looked at a lot of nurseries as my kid needs to go 5 days a week so I wanted to be sure he was in great hands. The team are incredible and the outdoor approach is healthy, educational and a excellent journey for my kid. He loves going there. My second kid already has a place reserved. Remarkable childcare centre.

May 31, 2025 at 2:43 pmWe have not been disappointed. Our son thoroughly enjoys feeding the resident teacup pigs, guinea pigs and rabbits, helping with the allotment, and (when the weather isn’t so clement) discovering to read draw and paint.
With all this going on it’s no bad thing they get rain suits so that clothes aren’t ruined on a daily basis.
Receiving detailed feedback daily alongside the journals is excellent for commuter parents with a 9-5 job. Efforts are also made for the parents to get to know one another through garden parties.
I have strongly recommended Acre Wood on numerous occasions, both for its family sense and its ability to balance teaching your kid to be responsible and empathise with others whilst having enjoyable and – most importantly of all – being a kid. Our son has been attending Acre Wood childcare centre for the past 16 months.
We chose the childcare centre, attracted by the plentiful outdoor space, experienced team (who work as a team) and the offer of wrap-around care.
