January 10, 2022 at 12:00 amWe moved from London where my daughter was very settled at her nursery and I was worried how she would adapt to the change but I have been delighted how quickly she has settled at Acorns Llandaff. The building and facilities are absolutely beautiful, and the staff are fantastic and very friendly even at the busy drop-off/pick-up time. My daughter seems really fond of her teacher. They seem to have a lot of fun and do some varied art and other activities. We are really happy with everything. Thanks to the manager and the whole team!

January 25, 2022 at 12:00 amAcorns Llandaff is an exceptional nursery run by a highly skilled manager with attentive, kind, and caring nursery workers, cleaners, and chefs. Our daughter has attended Acorns Llandaff since they first opened their (beautifully grand) doors in September 2021 and considers Acorns to be a second home. Our daughter loves to talk to us about her friends at Acorns, her key workers at Acorns, and all the different activities she does on a daily basis. Thank you Acorns! We don’t know what we would do without you all.

January 25, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been at Acorns Llandaff since November 2021. She has settled very well and is always happy going to nursery and comes home happy at the end of the day. The staff and management and friendly and caring and the building and facilities are wonderful.

January 26, 2022 at 12:00 amMy older daughter attended another one of the excellent Acorns nurseries previously and when Acorns Llandaff opened I wanted my son to attend. Acorns Llandaff is a fantastic nursery, with such wonderfully kind and caring staff. My son always seems happy to go to nursery and has settled in well. I have detailed handovers at the end of each day from his key workers and often get photos of the numerous activities he has done that day. We absolutely love Acorns and really pleased he attends.

January 26, 2022 at 12:00 amI can’t be more grateful for how the wonderful staff at Acorns Llandaff helped my little boy settle into nursery. They all go above and beyond to help him and he’s gone from crying at drop-off to running through the door, excited to spend his day at nursery. He has now been attending for four months and I have noticed his development come on leaps and bounds. Always updated with photos of what he’s been doing throughout the day which is always lovely to see.

February 14, 2022 at 12:00 amWhen I was younger, I attended an Acorns nursery and so have always held them to a high standard based on memory. Both of my daughters have/are attending Acorns and they have only gotten better over the years. The care and love shown to the children by the staff is incredible, there’s no concern as a parent when dropping off as you know they’ll most likely have a better day there than they would have at home! The activities are really well thought out, the kids get a lot of outside play and the food is brilliant. 10/10, the best nursery in Cardiff.

The updates throughout the day, the arts and crafts and activities they do are all great and have helped with the development of our child.

Being a first-time mum all the new decisions are so scary, this is definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made for my little girl. She absolutely loves going to nursery, she cannot wait to go to all the staff. The staff are absolutely amazing! I can’t thank them enough for what they do in the nursery. As for the nursery itself, it is absolutely beautiful, so calm, new, and clean.

My little boy attended their previous nursery 3 years ago and now my little girl has been here in Llandaff since September when it opened. The staff go above and beyond to reassure you of any worries you might have and each member of staff genuinely cares about the children. It is more expensive than most nurseries but the cost doesn’t come into it when you have to leave your child in the care of these girls here at Llandaff they are worth every penny!

The managers are efficient, knowledgeable, and professional at all times. They are also nurturing and clearly have a great passion for the work they do. I would especially like to recognise my child’s key worker who has been patient, caring, and adaptable to help make my child feel comfortable in the nursery setting.

March 14, 2022 at 12:00 amWe are over the moon with Acorns Llandaff. Both our children have attended since late last year and they have settled in amazingly. This is largely down to the cosy inclusive feeling they strive for and our eldest loves taking her shoes off and putting on her slippers as soon as she steps foot inside her room. They do lots of activities every day and send through videos and photos via the app. The food menu is well thought through and really nutritious. Independence is encouraged but balanced well with support. The facilities and environment are first class, all set within a beautiful historical building that has been delightfully refurbished with a really fresh warm and cosy feel.

The staff have been so friendly, so professional and always very cheerful. We feel very safe leaving our daughter here and she always comes home happy and excited. We are so grateful for this wonderful, comfortable environment that the nursery has created for her and as first-time parents, it’s been a fantastic experience.

December 7, 2022 at 12:00 amMy experience is that Acorns excel at what they do. My husband and I are so glad that we moved our little boy to Acorns Llandaff. We now feel at ease leaving him during the working day in their care and he’s so happy there. The manager, deputy manager and all staff are approachable, caring, kind and fun. The nursery is welcoming, warm and spotlessly clean. They have different rooms for different tasks and it’s so inviting, my little boy didn’t want to leave when we went on our initial visit, it’s a ‘home from home’.

The nursery has worked tirelessly with me through her challenges with eating and repeated episodes of viral wheezing. They have afforded us the opportunity to continue working because of the above-and-beyond care they provide and their due diligence to their children. Thank you to everyone. April 19, 2023 at 12:00 amThis really is more than a nursery. The managers and key workers are so nurturing, after a few weeks, they felt like part of the family. My son started at Acorns in the midst of Covid. Staff were supportive, professional and went out of their way to settle him. There was never a shortage of cuddles and love, it’s a home-from-home. The food is incredible and reads like a restaurant menu. As a result, my son has a healthy appetite and loves trying new foods. My son quickly started to recognise letters and numbers and his speech improved in a few short months. Christmas, Grandparent’s Day, Mother’s Day, celebrations are a delight and the staff go out of their way to bring nursery and family life together. And if you are fortunate enough for your little one to be cared for by two staff members in particular you have struck gold. My son has had the best start in life thanks to Acorns Llandaff, I will be forever grateful for their kindness, fun and care.
