The team in each room are truly welcoming. I have consistently been highly cheerful with the care Acorns team provide and nothing seems too much! I like the layout of the childcare centre and they have plenty of facilities including the separate outdoor spaces. The food menu is consistently highly great and often my little girl will try meals she would not try at home. Me and my daughter truly delight in taking part in all holiday celebrations that Acorns put on for the kids. I would highly suggest Acorns and will be sad when my daughter starts school in September, hopefully in the future if she has any siblings they can attend Acorns too. My daughter has been attending Acorns for 3 years now and has moved through all the 3 separate rooms from baby’s up to pre-school.

Our son has settled truly well thanks to the incredible team! The team consistently provide lots of exciting activities and truly know the kids well. Our son consistently enjoys the range of food on offer. A excellent childcare centre. Would highly suggest. Acorns is a remarkable childcare centre.

All the team are so welcoming and have made all of my kids sense cheerful and secure in the childcare centre surroundings with their compassionate and loving nature that they have shown towards all of them. The team still take the time to talk to my eldest kids on pickup and make them sense included in their younger brother’s time there. The team at Acorns provide stimulating and exciting activities for the kids and they care about the quality of discovering they provide for all age groups. My son enjoys the delicious menu too!
My son has progressed so well and has thoroughly enjoyed his time there.
It is an end of a remarkable era for us as a family. We shall miss everyone at Acorns lots. I am so so grateful for the fantastic journey we have had for the past 10 years at Acorns, one which we will never forget, and we can’t thank the team highly enough for making that time so enjoyable. Acorns has been a remarkable childcare centre for my two daughters previously and most recently my son.

I leave my son in the morning knowing he is in the best hands possible. He was previously at another childcare centre but after experiencing issues with their level of care and other matters, I chose to move him to Acorns and never looked back! I truly can’t thank all the lovely ladies in Tweenies enough for all they do to provide such a lovely secure setting for my son. Fantastic, attentive and consistent team.

It is such a attentive setting. The team know the kids so well and make sure to provide lots of different things for them to do. My son loves the team! They sense like family. I cannot praise this childcare centre enough.

I truly think the food is outstanding and the team. Wish the preschool had as much access to outside space as tweenies room but understand the building doesn’t allow for this The childcare centre have been excellent with my kid catering to his individual traits and building on these, the amount they go outside seems to be increasing which is excellent for him.

My son has settled in truly well. He gets on with his key worker amazingly. He normally struggles getting used to different people but he has settled in truly well with everyone. Would definitely suggest this childcare centre to anyone! Absolutely fabulous childcare centre.

Originally, I was worried this may be too early but it was the best thing for him. He is coming on each week and seems like a confident baby. The team are remarkable, they truly care for our baby (and all the kids). There’s a excellent atmosphere at the childcare centre and they encourage the babies to learn through playtime. They encourage him to eat different food and it’s excellent they do messy playtime. We have noticed our baby seems to try more things after returning from childcare centre such as crawling, standing up, walking etc, it’s a great opportunity for him to learn from the older kids. The information we receive at pick up shows they are attentive to our baby and the parents evening are a excellent opportunity for us to ask questions. Our baby’s face lit up when he saw his key worker at parents evening. Our baby has attended Acorns in Adel since September, he joined childcare centre when he was 8 months old.

They have both enjoyed their time there, and both have benefitted from the loving attention of the team. The team have also been truly supportive when managing toilet training, and the managers are highly flexible in terms of offering extra days if needed. Over the last couple of years, more use has been made of the online app in order to chart my kids’s development and provide photos of them with their friends. This was particularly nice to see during the periods of lockdown as parents weren’t allowed into the childcare centre at that time. Overall we have been pleased to send our kids to Acorns-in-Adel. I have had two kids attend Acorns-in-Adel, in the Baby Room and Tweenies.

They have taken the time to learn some Makaton so that they can communicate with him as he loves the singing and signing classes. The Christmas gifts for all the kids were in fact baby sign books which was just excellent as now the other kids are using a few signs too – just lovely! We sense highly cheerful with the care he has received and consistently get a great ‘handover’ of the day he has had. Have recommended the childcare centre to friends whose kids are now going too. The only thing I would change is for there not to be any biscuits as snacks, and instead, consistently stick to breadsticks/fruit, etc. My kid has been at childcare centre since October 2021 and although he is only one day a week he has settled in well and the team have truly got to know him and his wee quirks!

Both my kids are there presently and consistently return home excited to tell me about their busy days. They have enjoyable activities, but also get monitored closely, and have upcoming events (special meals, fancy dress parties) to keep them interested! Acorns is a lovely childcare centre.

We like the overall set-up of the childcare centre e.g. the rooms, toys, menu and team and our daughter has progressed highly well since she has been there. She has learnt basic sign language, her vocabulary has improved and she is highly social having made lots of friends. My only issue is the lack of updates from the childcare centre itself. We truly have to ask lots of questions to find out what she has done during the day as the general response is ‘she has been fine’. I would like more detail as to activities carried out during the day so that we can continue this into the evening and discuss at home. The Discovering Book does not get updated on a regular basis and therefore I am unable to see how the childcare centre carries out activities in line with the EYFS. Our kid has been at the childcare centre since March 2021.

They both adore it and we are so cheerful with the care they receive. The team truly engage with the kids and know them all by name. We could not suggest them enough! Both of my kids attend Acorns and have done since they were around 12/13 months old.

They consistently do lots of exciting activities for the kids, provide delicious meals, and are so supportive in creating a positive and enjoyable discovering setting. The team all go above a beyond. I would absolutely suggest Acorns to other families. Acorns is a remarkable childcare centre.

Such a nurturing setting. He doesn’t stop talking about the in-house cook and all her yummy food! Thank you Acorns for all that you do! Highly suggest. My little boy loves Acorns, it’s a home from home.

He absolutely loves coming into childcare centre and this is the best feeling as a parent. My 1-year-old settled in almost instantly and has made positive bonds with all the baby room team. Cannot thank the team enough! They are incredible. I cannot praise the team at Acorns-in-Adel enough, my 4-year-old is nearly ready to leave for school in September and the team have taught him so much and prepared him so well.

All the team have been remarkable from baby room, through tweenies and up to pre-school. He loves attending and consistently has a smile on his face when myself or my partner pick him up. The team consistently actively engage with the kids and all have a genuine care and interest in their behaviour, growth, and education. The food served for meals is consistently healthy and varied to give the kids a balanced healthy diet and to help them explore new meals they may not consistently encounter at home. Our second kid will be attending in due course and I would consistently suggest Acorns to friends. Remarkable by all. Remarkable childcare centre, our son has attended from 9 months old and has just turned 3.

I noticed that the toys were often cleared away leaving the kids access to only a small section of the room despite there being nearly an hour left before it closed. She settled highly quickly into a different childcare centre and was highly clear she didn’t want to go back to Acorns.
The updates was highly poor, we were rarely informed if there was sickness and a few times it was a sign on the door. I compare this to her new childcare centre where an email is sent to all parents.
She was rarely sent home with any artwork. The outside space is highly small with only a small section of shade which the kids are cramped into. I moved my kid from here in the summer as she was highly reluctant to go in and didn’t seem to have a great relationship with the team.

Attentive team and kids like going there so no arguments in the mornings. Thank you to Acorns in Adel for helping look after my kids. Excellent childcare centre – have two kids there and they do a excellent job of looking after them.
