Acorn Day Nursery (Stony Stratford)

Fantastic updates with the team there. Our daughter is extremely content at Acorn. I feel she is extremely well cared for, and the team seem genuinely pleased to see her and caregiving for her growth and well-being.

She and everyone else has helped him develop his speech and interaction with others. My son has thrived at Acorn and they have helped him so much with development and updates, his key worker is incredible and he seems to truly such as her. I haven’t had much dealing with management but things are communicated clearly via the app. They truly seem to caregiving about his well-being and anything he can do at home‑like to help as well.

My little girl has been attending for a year now, and she absolutely loves going, as we approach the nursery she is trying to get out of her buggy, and when we arrive she runs in, is always so warmly greeted by any team, not just those of her room, and happily waves goodbye to me without a second thought. My daughter is now transitioning to the next room, and that has also been so well organised and considered that she is flourishing and ready for that move. The facilities, activities, food and updates are fantastic. His settling-in sessions were managed so well that he also is content to be there and smiles when the team take him from me. But above all, the nurturing, attentive and knowledgable team are what make it! I couldn’t wish for any better for my kids. Stony Stratford Acorn is simply the best nursery. My son started 6 weeks ago, at just 10 months, the height of potential separation anxiety, and yet he has never been upset when I leave.

I also adore receiving the in-depth observations on the app, they truly confirm how content, confident, and comfortable the kids are. We have never had any ‘I don’t want to go to nursery’ mornings and I think the delightful team, setting, and activities are to thank for this. Both of my daughters have absolutely adored their time at Acorn Stony. There is always a warm‑hearted welcome and informative pass over.

It’s a extremely secure, enjoyable and educational place to leave your youngster to grow. Fantastic adaptability for food requirements and reusable nappies. Excellent transparency with reports and discussions with team. The team are remarkable, well spoken, nurturing, well trained and so understanding.

Our daughter is so content here she literally cheers when we drive up. The team are truly nurturing and knowledgeable about our daughter and nurturing for small kids in general. I truly highly recommend the nursery. The setting seems extremely youngster-led and offers lots of opportunities for age-appropriate independence. We absolutely adore the nursery.

The team were fantastic getting her settled in and always take fantastic caregiving of her. She’s kept busy with lots of enjoyable activities and spends lots of time in the garden which she loves. Am extremely pleased to have her at this nursery and would highly recommend anyone looking for a enjoyable and nurturing childcare setting! My daughter has been attending this nursery for 6 months now and loves every day.

These concerns were exacerbated by the number of accident reports she had which simply didn’t happen at home‑like. In the end the worry about my daughter’s wellbeing at Acorn was too much and I removed her from the nursery in Nov 2021. All I wanted was peace of mind that my youngster’s needs were being addressed in a secure setting with a content team working culture who my daughter could get to know and bond with over time – this isn’t what Acorn delivered and I couldn’t in excellent faith highly recommend them based on such a poor experience. I did some research as a result and discovered that they’d had to report an incident to Ofsted in 2020. During the 8 months I persevered with Acorn the team turnover and wider concerns about my daughter’s caregiving were relentless.

Our daughter, who we thought may struggle settling in having never been to any other setting, took to the team and setting immediately, thanks to the individual time and assistance that was provided to help her settle in. One big content family of kids, families and team! We waited a long time to get our daughter a place there but could not be happier with the standard of the caregiving and provision they offer. Often when I arrive now she says to come back later as she would such as to stay longer! The attention and caregiving of team, the focus on outdoor development, Wellbeing Wednesdays, scrummy home‑like-cooked meals, the beautiful set up of playtime opportunities and the enjoyable and wonder that all the team embody all make Acorn a unique setting and we couldn’t be more delighted with it for our daughter. Acorn at Stony Stratford is the most remarkable place for our daughter!

The nursery uses an app to keep you up to date with what the kids are eating/naps and post pictures of activities and assessments. My eldest has been well supported with growing independence, there is plenty of outside space for him to run around and playtime and get lots of fresh air. My youngest has been going for 4 months and has settled in truly well. The meals and snacks provided are nutritious and varied, the activities are youngster-led and based on what they are showing an interest in. I have 2 kids attending Acorn (4 and 1) and both kids are extremely content at nursery. The team are attentive to his needs and update well about how he is doing. The older kids take part in forest centre and go for outings in the local community. Overall we are extremely content with Acorn and would highly highly recommend them.
