Acorn Day Nursery (Kents Hill)

One of the best choices we have made is choosing Acorn Day Nursery Kents Hill for both our children.
The setting is perfect for the development and nurturing of the children. We have seen improvements in both of the children’s confidence, attitude, development and social skills.
The staff are excellent at what they do and are genuinely interested in each child and devote their time to ensure they are supported, encouraged and cared for.
The activities such as forest school, visits to the care home and stay and plays make it even more special.
We feel very grateful that our children get to go to Acorns.

We absolutely love Acorns at Kents Hill. The staff are friendly, caring and equipped to care for children. Our daughter has a fantastic time and they’re really understanding and flexible about changes going on in their home life too. The updates on their progress are really thorough.

A fantastic child-led nursery. Teachers constantly observe what our kid is interested in and created a safe environment for him to explore. The app is brilliant. Kids’ daily activities are updated in real-time so at pick-up, teachers can spend time telling parents about the kids’ development during the day. Parents are encouraged to upload their kid’s journey from home so that teachers can follow on too. There is a very detailed development report every couple of months. The key person put a lot of thought in writing the report and asks parents for feedback. The meals in the nursery are very thoughtfully planned too. We have a kid who is allergic to many things but the chef managed to make a lot of alternative options for her so that she doesn’t miss out on dietary requirements. Speaking from experience, I have noticed the great development my daughter has made at the nursery. The activities and learning for the children is age-related and the teachers are all experts in dealing with kids. We have been sending our daughter for the past year and she really enjoys it. She has built her confidence and also learnt numbers and letters a lot quicker than imagined. Nothing seems too difficult for the staff as you update them about the child and they’ll spend time teaching them based on their recent experiences maybe from what they’ve seen or what they did over the weekend – everything is targeted to make learning fun and relatable to your child. We are very happy with Acorns and their staff.

It’s hard to put into words how much we love Acorn Nursery Kents Hill and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. Our eldest started when he was 11 months and finished in August when he was due to start school. The transition to school has been seamless and I put a lot of that down to the time he spent at Acorn. The team are amazing and make every day fun for the children along with teaching them key skills ready for school. My daughter is currently in the squirrels room and runs in happily every day. It means the world to us to know she is so happy and the team at Acorn are just wonderful, super fun, caring and just the best! They create a super special environment for our children every day and no day is the same!

Our daughter has attended Acorn Kents Hill nursery since she was 12/13 months old and to see her develop and grow has been amazing. She is now 3 years old and I love how the staff have supported her throughout her journey. Watching her become independent, making new friends and learning lots of new skills is a credit to how hard the staff work for all the children at the nursery. I highly recommend them as one of the best nurseries and the best decision we made.

Both my children have attended Acorns (my daughter will be leaving to start school in September), and I have nothing but positive things to say. The children really do become attached to the staff because they make such an effort to bond and build relationships with those in their care. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and make such a difference in the children’s learning and development. I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to others looking for a nurturing environment for their child/ren to attend.

Caring and friendly staff. Children are the centre of every activity. We couldn’t think of a better place to leave our kid while at work. He is happy and well cared for. They enjoy going on trips to the woods and being outside.

Each morning when I tell my daughter she is going to nursery today, she gets all excited and says, “nursery! woohoo!”. She absolutely loves it. The variety of activities they do gets their imagination going and nurtures their development.
All the staff are so friendly and accommodating.
We especially love the various events held, such as Mother’s/Father’s day breakfast which we can also attend is great as it gives us a glimpse of their environment.
The app is a fantastic way for us to see what our daughter is up to; we love the photos and videos shared on the app, which gives us peace of mind.
We would most definitely recommend Acorn day nursery in Kent’s Hill.

I am very satisfied with the staff. My child goes to kindergarten with great pleasure. The staff is very attentive to my child. I like it that children spend many hours outdoors and the child develops well. My child has begun to talk more. Thanks to all the staff for their care and concern.
