Abbeydale Cottage Nursery

We had a sense of dread at leaving him there to start off with, but with the help of tester hours and days, all our concerns were quashed. He now goes for long days 7-5 and the childcare centre are truly accommodating of these longer days, giving him breakfast and tea.

Our son truly loves it there now and both me and my wife actually look forward to the little time we spend there, dropping him off or picking him up because it’s such a lovely atmosphere. There’s consistently lots of welcoming, smiley faces there to greet us and my son consistently enjoys himself.

We particularly adore the Tapestry App the childcare centre use to give updates on how he’s getting on and measure his development against EYFS standards. The app is truly secure so there’s nothing to worry about. They have a excellent soft playtime room in which my son is in his element. In general, the nursey looks lovely, the team are remarkable and we sense more than confident leaving our boy there. Our 17-month-old has been going to Abbeydale Cottage Childcare centre since 10 months old, he goes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Our daughter has been attending for approx one year now, she enjoys her time spent there and looks forward to attending.
The provision is spotless and well organised. The team in the orange room, where my daughter is currently, are exceptionally experienced and highly welcoming. Nothing is too much to ask and as a mother they make me sense at ease. They provided great age related discovering activities for the kids working alongside individual targets.
My daughter is transitioning up to the blue room and I am highly confident she will gain all the experiences, socially, emotionally and academically.
I would suggest this childcare centre to friends and family, which I have already have done! This provision is exceptionally great for childcare.

Father Christmas coming to their Christmas party was a nice touch which the kids loved. Impressed with standard of childcare centre, you can tell when a childcare centre has been purpose built as everything has been built with small kids in mind rather then adapted after.

It’s purpose built and every aspect of the building has clearly been thought out with kids in mind. They have highly qualified, mature and welcoming team and long opening hours (7am-7pm) which is excellent for us as we have to commute and need the early start.
No other Nurseries compared, and to top it off the prices are similar to all others in the area, with food and nappies included.
The indoor and outdoor playtime areas are also remarkable my daughter doesn’t ever want to come home! My daughter attends this Childcare centre and I have nothing but great comments to say about.

My daughter has been going there since it first opened and in that short time she has made lots of friends and has become much more ready for her transition to school. The facilities are incredible and way above any nurseries I have seen before. She has become much better at socialising (she was quite shy before) and eats all of her food such as salad, soup which we struggled with at home. It is great that we get a daily reports and also receive emails of her development and see what she has been discovering and activities she has enjoyed. She is consistently coming home with paintings and has sometimes even baked and been on trips out. All of the team are lovely and highly welcoming she feels totally at home there and she will be devastated when she leaves for school! I highly suggest Abbeydale Cottage Childcare centre.

The playtime facilities are incredible and the team are excellent, paying real attention to development in the pre-school room. We just wish this childcare centre had been open when we first moved to the area. Our kid loves this childcare centre and so do we.

Updates has been highly great; each day feedback is given covering what the kid has been doing, their toilet visits and what they have eaten benefitting great daily transitions. The team allayed any concerns we had sending our first kid into a new setting and the security at the childcare centre further added to our self‑assurance he would be secure in their hands.
Initial verbal and written feedback requested by the childcare centre was highly detailed and assured us that his individual needs and preferences would be considered and accommodated.
The childcare centre is consistently highly spotless and organised and has outstanding facilities including a soft playtime area, which is our son’s current favourite space.
Activities are creative and engaging, encouraging the kids to flourish both within the childcare centre and on short excursions when the weather allows.

Abbeydale Cottage Childcare centre has been remarkable, taking the time to understand her condition and giving her assistance with eating. I thought I’d only ever trust my parents and husband to look after my daughter, but it is absolutely remarkable and a thorough relief to have Abbeydale Cottage Childcare centre looking after her too!

My little one is settled and enjoys Abbeydale Cottage Childcare centre. I consistently get a “yay!” when I say we’re going. She loves the outdoor playtime area and the soft playtime is a massive bonus, which she loves! I’m consistently impressed with how spotless and well kept the childcare centre looks. The online Tapestry system is excellent and I delight in regularly seeing pictures and comments about how she’s doing. Finally, although availability can be limited as it is a popular childcare centre, they consistently try and fit us in/change things around for us if they can. I was nervous about sending my daughter to the childcare centre last year as she has a rare condition that results in swallowing difficulties making mealtimes hard.
