3 Bears Nursery @ Hawthorn

I needn’t have worried. Not a single tear and she’s absolutely itching to get in every day. The girls are lovely and highly attentive to her needs. Their kid-led approach has had a massive positive impact on my daughter – and I especially like how they will let her sleep for as long as she needs (in her last childcare centre all she would get is an hour and then they’d wake her up). In the few months she’s been there I have noticed a massive difference in her with regards to self‑assurance and her speech, and I would say the girls at Hawthorne have played a massive part in that.

The only piece of constructive feedback I can give, is that I’d like to see them going out more in to the community more and accessing the services that are available in the library etc.

I have no hesitation in recommending the childcare centre! We recently moved to the area and I was highly anxious about moving my daughter to a new childcare centre and how well she would settle.

My son is well looked after and loves going daily to childcare centre. Excellent childcare centre.

Coming out of a pandemic we struggled with her adjusting to new people and places, but the girls were fabulous working out a settling period that worked for us to ensure she was ready for her full days and now she is thriving and absolutely loves her days there. She created such strong bonds and I attribute that to the care and time that the team have put in. An incredible team and childcare centre for your kid. My wee girl has been attending this childcare centre since April 2022 and I cannot suggest the entire team highly enough.

The team are all welcoming with a high degree of professionalism. There is consistently a variety of toys to playtime with and indoor/outdoor activities. The management are keen to involve the parents and regularly communicate new ideas. The online journals are also a excellent way of communicating daily info such as meals, sleeps etc., as well as monitoring development. I’ve also found the management exceptionally flexible.
Overall this is an outstanding childcare centre and we will miss the people when our son moves up to the next childcare centre. Our son has been attending 3 Bears for about 20 months now and he absolutely loves it.

He has come on leaps and bounds since starting childcare centre and I genuinely believe that it’s down to the motivation and assistance that he receives from the childcare centre team. The online journal facility gives me excellent insight into all the enjoyable and discovering that he takes part in on a daily basis. I think it’s excellent that this is completed throughout the day so I sense I’m regularly updated on how he’s getting on. The childcare centre mobile is excellent too – keeping me posted if there is any short-notice trips to the park or changes to the day. The childcare centre encourages parent feedback and suggestions which is excellent too. The team are so approachable, dedicated and hardworking and that makes all the difference. My son attends the childcare centre 4 days a week and has done for the last year.

There is a small outdoor space at the back and the team make sure the kids have lots of outdoor time, which is remarkable. Our kid has come along leaps and bounds in their social skills since starting here and is much more comfortable around other adults and kids. We get truly nice updates on the discovering journals about milestones and I get the impression that the team truly celebrate the kids’s achievements. All meals, nappies and outdoor playsuits are provided, which are a bonus, as lots of nurseries don’t offer those. Although it’s a small childcare centre I think the team make the most of what they have available, are creative and are consistently looking for ways to improve, which I truly respect and appreciate. I only wish they could cater beyond 3 as I know my kid won’t want to leave when the time comes! Our kid has settled into 3 Bears so well and they absolutely adore going to childcare centre.

My daughter was at Hawthorn for two years before moving up to the bigger childcare centre and I know she misses the team at Hawthorn massively. Highly welcoming, supportive and thoughtful during the kids’s birthdays. Having used other nurseries before I sense Hawthorn is head and shoulders above the rest. My family have been using Hawthorn for over two years now and we don’t have a single issue.

At the beginning there was tears from both of us for a highly long time which I think was due to my daughter being so young when she started and also because we were both used to being with each other all the time but the team at the childcare centre settled us both at all times.

During the time I have been at the childcare centre I have had to change days and times frequently due to work commitments and the managers have been highly supportive with this making sure that everyone is cheerful.

The snacks at 3 bears are consistently healthy and there is a range of choices.

The only bit if criticism I can think of is I sense from a personal point that the activities in which the kids engage are sometimes highly repetitive and not enough in the nicer weather I sense the childcare centre could take the kids outside of the childcare centre more but apart from that I am cheerful with the care if my kid at 3 bears. My daughter has been attending 3 bears childcare centre for roughly one and a half years now and so far so great.

The settling in period has been excellent, and the team are all so welcoming and take excellent care of the kids. Updates with the childcare centre is remarkable, the discovering journals are exceptional and I frequently receive emails with updates. My girl has been going to 3 Bears Childcare centre @ Hawthorn for 3 months now, and I couldn’t be happier with this childcare centre.

The team are all exceptional and they are consistently coming up with new activities for the kids and my daughter has so much enjoyable on her childcare centre days and has made her own wee friends at it. The childcare centre manager and deputy manager, in particular, are remarkable and consistently on hand to answer any queries but all of the members of team are lovely and my daughter has a lot of affection for them all. They are highly encouraging of the kids and recently aided me in reminding my daughter to go to the toilet with use of a reward chart they made for her. They do outdoor playtime as much as possible (something my daughter loves) and they consistently strive to do things better and do different things with the kids. The director continually invests in new equipment for the kids also. My daughter has attended the childcare centre for nearly 2 years and she absolutely loves it.
