Child 1st (Coleshill)

I changed my sons nursery over to this one due to him not thriving at his previous setting. My son has been attending for just over a year now and he has come on in leaps and bounds. He has a speech delay and the staff are excellent working with this. My sons speech has come on amazingly in twelve months, through his speech and language therapy but also because of the staff at the nursery. He absolutely loves his key worker and speaks about activities he’s done that day with enthusiasm. Due to the restrictions with Covid-19 the nursery have still been excellent with communication and everything else, to put your mind at ease. I would definitely one hundred percent recommend this nursery. You can really tell the staff have a deep bond for the children in their care and its not just a job for them.

Overall good, my daughter enjoys her time and skips in most mornings. The app used is fab to see what the children are up to and activities they’re doing. Also logs all progress. Management has always been fantastic and helpful along with staff from the pre-school room.

My daughter started preschool in April this year. All members of staff helped her settle in and within no time she was settled and happy. The staff are amazing they have been incredible with her and myself. I’m always updated on what she has done and hows she’s been during the day.

First impressions were great. They’re well organised and professional but still friendly. I had faith in them right away.
My son has been there for a couple of months now and I’ve been impressed with the communication from staff. He struggles at drop off but the team are always very warm and comforting. They also keep me updated with how he has settled so I don’t spend the day worrying about him. I really appreciate this. We love seeing the photos of him and his little friends through the day and find the observations the team write help me to understand how he is doing and show me they are really getting to know him. Thank you team.

My daughter started nursery in October 2021.
It was recommended by my family as my niece and nephew attended here and I’m so glad I enrolled my daughter in this nursery, she has come on leaps and bounds and the staffing can’t be faulted, she has grown so much confidence being there and the chef! Well, the food they have there is unreal, I honestly can’t fault this nursery, I love that they have an app as well and keep you up to date throughout the day and the activities they do and the observations they do on a one to one basis, it’s amazing.

Child 1st Day Nursery has been a part of my life for many years. Starting with my firstborn over six years ago. So when I had my second child nine months ago, even though we actually live further away now, I still wanted him to go there. He was a true lockdown baby and I was really anxious about him going as he was so attached to me. He had a few wobbles in the first few weeks of settles but the baby room manager always reassured me that it was normal and he would be okay. Fast forward only two months and my son is like a different baby! He absolutely loves it! Smiles when he goes in and laughing when he comes out! I love the new app so I can check on what he is doing throughout the day and the direct message feature is fabulous! Every time I have messaged the baby room one of the girls has got back to me within the hour. I had also started a new job and needed some extra sessions (sometimes at extremely short notice) and the girls have done their absolute best to accommodate me and my son. Thank you!

After searching everywhere for somewhere for my daughter to go to, I was recommended Child 1st in Coleshill Day Nursery from a friend of a friend.
I knew within 5-minutes of my walk around that this was where I wanted to take my little girl. All the staff are so friendly and have all the patience in the world for both you and your child.
I love the app, they communicate throughout the whole day of your child being there.
Definitely recommend.

My daughter has been going to Child 1st Day Nursery now since around June 2022 and I honestly couldn’t wish for a better nursery. She never settled at the childminders so I was apprehensive about whether she would settle here also. But she absolutely loves being here, she runs in with open arms and I go to work every day knowing my daughter is looked after and loved and, best of all, she is happy here. They send updates throughout the day including photos and the app always shows what they have eaten/slept. I love Child 1st (Coleshill) and all the workers here. My daughter’s key worker is brilliant.

Really lovely nursery. My son started in toddlers and is now in preschool. He has been supported through the transition and has made real bonds with the staff and also friendships with the children.
He has so much fun and really looks forward to going.

Our little one started at 7 months. We were worried (as all parents are) but especially as she was quite little and hadn’t ever been looked after by anyone other than us. But the staff were really reassuring, plus she settled really well and loves going. She is 2 now. The staff are supportive of our wishes regarding stuff like diet, dummies and naps so there isn’t conflict between home and nursery. If something ever happens like a bumped head they ring and let me know right away which of course they don’t have to do but is comforting to feel in the loop! Now and again if she has a grumpy morning I drop a message on the app to check she has settled down and always get a reply promptly. Handover is good especially if we are keeping an eye on any issues between us like cough or constipation. Parent’s evening is informal but lovely to see her pottering about where she spends so much of her time and to talk about how she’s developing, moving up to toddlers etc.
