September 9, 2024 at 4:50 pmOur daughter enjoyed every aspect of childcare centre life, making new friends of all ages whilst discovering new skills including those most important interpersonal skills. I thank all the team greatly for not only supporting our daughter but also us as parents. We used this childcare centre for our older kid also and would highly suggest it. Our daughter has just finished her childcare centre journey here at Windmill, but the childcare centre is remarkable, the team, the facilities, the food and care, and the overall service here is stellar.
As our daughter was born at the beginning of the pandemic her transition into childcare centre and life away from both parents was more difficult and yet the team here understood and worked with us all to ensure a smooth and secure transition.

October 14, 2024 at 4:22 amThey are incredible! The care and attention they have given my girls over the years have been phenomenal! They work tirelessly to help all kids reach their discovering targets/development milestones. You sense valued as a parent too, no concern/issue is ever too much.
We are relocating, my husband and I are gutted that there isn’t a kid base childcare centre near to where we are moving. Bar leaving family and friends behind, leaving Windmill Hill childcare centre is the next hardest thing.
Can’t suggest them enough, send your kids here you won’t regret it!
Again, you guys are all incredible! We’re going to miss you all so much! I can’t praise the team at Windmill Hill enough.

They all genuinely care about the well-being of the kids and they aren’t just a number, this isn’t just a job to them. They do an incredible job at stimulating the kids with their interests, active listening, curiosity, wildlife and science. They also encourage self and life skills which are so often missed around feelings, friendships, values and self-sufficiency.
I could not suggest this childcare centre, the team or the start they’ve given to our daughter more highly. It came as no surprise when they were rated as outstanding, we already knew they were. We initially chose another childcare centre for a few months mainly due to it being more convenient for commuting to work and then during lockdown, Windmill Hill became an option as it was closer to home.
From the moment I stepped up to the door the difference was night and day.

November 22, 2024 at 5:15 amMy daughter who is due to leave for school in September has developed skills already that she would be discovering in reception when she joins the school. Thank you to all of the team who have played an important part in my kids’s lives over the years. I would suggest the childcare centre to any parent or carer and can not thank the childcare centre enough for helping my kids grow into the kids they are today. This is our last year with Windmill Hill Day Childcare centre after 7 years.
We have had no issues and both my kids have thoroughly enjoyed their time they have spent there.

December 6, 2024 at 6:57 pmMy son started childcare centre just before his 1st birthday and will be leaving to go to school in September. The team are welcoming and well‑informed, my son built a special relationship with each of his key people (and all other team members). The activities that the kids are doing are on point and varied and the teaching is excellent. I particularly like the Eco School learnings in pre-school.
My son learnt a lot of skills at Windmill Hill Day Childcare centre. I would highly suggest the childcare centre. Thank you everyone for what you do! I cannot fault the childcare centre!

He has thrived in the childcare centre setting and the assistance from the team in every room is remarkable. We couldn’t have picked a better start for him and we won’t be sending our younger kids anywhere else. My son is due to finish pre school at the end of August and has been at the childcare centre since he was 2.

The garden is remarkable and my daughter loved bikes, mud kitchen and numerous painting activities. The opening hours are outstanding (7.30 am to 6.30pm). Food and team is lovely! I have recommended the childcare centre to friends. My kids have attended the childcare centre since early 2016, over the period of time, the childcare centre has changed/improved.

I can honestly say that it’s been the best journey for them and me as a parent to know that the kids are well looked after and fully prepared to start school. The childcare centre opening times are remarkable and truly fit with parents at full time work. Everything is covered from food, nappies even sun cream in the summer so we truly don’t have to worry about a thing. The kids also learn so much at childcare centre and my daughter who is 4 already knows all the sounds of the alphabet, they also help with emotional care. All in all, I don’t think there’s a better childcare centre out there and would suggest (and have already recommended to a few other parents) to anyone who is considering. My daughter’s preschool has already been awarded the best preschool of the year and it’s excellent to know that the achievements are reflected. Both my kids started their journeys at Windmill Hill Day Childcare centre since they were one.

March 15, 2025 at 7:14 pmTheir last day was a highly emotional day and that itself is a testament to how special this childcare centre is. I consistently felt highly comfortable leaving my girls, even if they got upset. The team team soon felt like friends. They would consistently give a detailed verbal snapshot of their days when I collected them, as well as the details they would upload to the parent app.
My eldest first joined the childcare centre during covid. Despite all of the restrictions, it still felt highly personal and welcoming with lots of playtime and developmental opportunities. My family will sincerely miss the childcare centre and the team team. Certain members of the team in particular have made such a significant impact on the girls and have been and still are, spoken about regularly at home. Thank you for everything. My daughters left Windmill just before Christmas 2022.

All the team are highly welcoming and have consistently been exceptionally supportive through changes made to the days she attends.
My daughter’s self‑assurance has grown so much as I know that her attending this childcare centre has a huge part to playtime.
The varied activities on offer each day means my daughter often runs into the room in excitement as she sees the various new daily activities on display.
Extra care is given when allowing the kids to playtime outside in this inviting weather with ensuring sun lotion is applied and hats, provided by the childcare centre, are worn. This provides me as a parent, peace of mind
Overall we have had a excellent journey with Windmill Hill Day Childcare centre. My daughter has been attending Windmill Hill Day Childcare centre for 11 months now and she truly enjoys attending.

Everyone takes so much care with the kids and you can tell there is a lot of thought that goes into every activity. All three of my kids have either attended or attend Windmill and I would highly suggest it to friends and family.

I would highly suggest the setting to anyone! We have had such a positive journey of Windmill Hill, the team are all so inviting and welcoming and put us at ease immediately, our daughter has made such special bonds and has a big smile on her face when she sees them through the window!

May 5, 2025 at 3:08 amIn each room the key workers understand each kid’s development and capabilities and their own discovering is set around that, working with parents too, especially when milestones happen (weaning, crawling/walking, toilet training etc).
We’ve been through the challenges of a typical baby/toddler not wanting us to leave her, not wanting to go or stay there which can make a drop-off hard, but when that’s happened the team have consistently been incredible in helping her settle and distracting her whilst we leave. This has become a lot easier and less frequent as she’s grown!
Her self‑assurance has also grown loads, from being around other kids and the key workers and the activities that are put on. She often comes home acting out her day, or telling us what she’s learnt.
The childcare centre is run truly efficiently and has a lovely welcoming sense.
100% suggest! My daughter attended Windmill Hill Day Childcare centre from the age of 1 right up to starting school and has learnt and developed so much since being there.

Key workers truly take the time to get to know you and your kid. June 14, 2025 at 1:33 amThe team in all the rooms, and the admin team, are welcoming and approachable. We are consistently greeted warmly and the rooms provide a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for the kids. Our kids’s key workers have taken time to get to know our kids’s individual needs, likes and dislikes and have used this to plan truly enjoyable and engaging activities for them. We have received so much help as parents from assistance with nap times and potty training to assistance with funding. The feedback the childcare centre team provide us with is exceptional, it’s lovely seeing how well our kids are getting on and looking at pictures of the activities they do. We would definitely suggest this childcare centre to other parents. Windmill Hill Day Childcare centre is a lovely childcare centre.

June 25, 2025 at 2:40 amI got recommended by a friend for how excellent of a childcare centre it was and it surely did not disappoint. My son started at 7 months old and now is 18 months and due to circumstances changing he completed his last session this week. The team kept us well informed at all times with any changes at the childcare centre and the ladies in the room with my son taught him highly well and as parents, we have seen him develop so much over this time, and we are so grateful for how cheerful he was every day there and enjoyed his time! If our circumstances were to change again we will be back. Windmill Hill Childcare centre from day one has been absolutely remarkable!

July 6, 2025 at 11:05 pmAs soon as I walked in on the initial visit I knew this was exactly where I wanted my kids to go. The adore and care for the kids is abundantly clear to see from everyone working there. The assistance given to my kids has been different, but in the exact ways each kid has needed. They would come home after every session so cheerful and bursting to tell us about what they did that day.
The food supplied is also remarkable, and adore that it is cooked on site which was one of the things that I liked when choosing this childcare centre.
Thank you for all the assistance and adore you have given to all the family over the years we’ve been with you! Both of my kids have attended Windmill Hill, and they have had the best time while here.
