September 4, 2024 at 7:45 pmExcellent garden which the kids spend lots of time in and highly attentive team. Also have events for all the family like a summer bbq which creates a nice community sense. Lovely childcare centre, my son has settled in quickly even though he only goes one day a week.

November 20, 2024 at 4:55 pmNot only are the team so attentive, attentive and well‑informed; the childcare centre itself has been exceptionally stimulating for her.
The manager has a real passion for Montessori which truly shows when looking around the childcare centre. The whole team have been so accommodating to us and we are so grateful to have found a childcare centre we sense confident in leaving our daughter with. As a worried dad, I could not ask for a better childcare centre for my daughter!

December 2, 2024 at 4:06 pmWe switched from another childcare centre that we weren’t cheerful with and were a little anxious when we first visited Ambourne as we weren’t sure what to expect, given our first journey. We were shown around by the Manager and we instantly knew we were in the right place.
We had a tour of the whole childcare centre and all the team were welcoming and welcoming. We had no hesitation in booking our kids into the childcare centre. They have both been truly cheerful so far and are well looked after. The team in their respective rooms are truly supportive and we get regular updates on how the kids are doing. Could not suggest Ambourne House highly enough. My three year old daughter and one year old son both come to Ambourne House Day Childcare centre in Patchway.

December 7, 2024 at 9:06 amWe choose Ambourne Day House based on a few simple factors; space (inside and outside), reasonable pricing and the team. We had been shown around all over the childcare centre, met the educators and we truly like the activity timetable for kids. After joining the childcare centre she just loved it, the educators are incredible and become a part of our daily routine as my girl keeps talking about her time in the childcare centre. There are a lot of great things to mention; the daily updates from educators, the big open playing garden (the lovely slide too), teacher’s focus and interaction to individuals, the care in food (my daughter eats veg/halal-only), role-playing and little puzzles. We would sincerely like to thank all the educators and management for their efforts in playing an important role in shaping my girl’s foundation stage. She has now started the school and her reception teacher already consider her a valued member of their class. We wish Ambourne a excellent success! My 3-year-old girl switched from another childcare centre.

December 16, 2024 at 2:27 amMy daughter has been going there for a year since she was 1 1/2 and is consistently highly passionate to go. Unlike some nurseries I have seen around the area, the team seem to genuinely delight in the work which I think is a big reason why the kids do so. The kids are often led to learn about real life, for example, to plant vegetables, cook, draw, wash hands, behave themselves in a group etc. They playtime in a garden with real lawn, trees and many toys and attractions are wooden, not plastic. In nurseries I have seen around, they wash kids hands with wipes, have a green carpet instead lawn and they tend to have the same things as in an ordinary playground in the yard, so this is not the case in Ambourne House. I appreciate that the keeper of my daughter often spends 1-to-1 time with her and puts an effort to teach her something new which she consistently seems to surprise me with later. Highly human-face-like and welcoming childcare centre with highly original education and activities for kids.

January 15, 2025 at 9:23 amSo I knew that it would be the right place for my son, and I was right. He is 15 months old and is starting to delight in his time and thrive at Ambourne House. This is all thanks to the hard work and dedication of the team in the Tadpole Room.
I know that he will continue to flourish into the preschool and, just like my daughter, will remember Ambourne fondly for years to come. My daughter, who is now 6, used to attend this childcare centre and she loved it.

Everyone is super nice and so lovely to my little one, she has had lovely relationships with a member of team in Toddlers, 2 members of team in Kindergarten and now starting to develop new relationships with 2 other team members, all of who she talks about when she comes home! She loves the chef’s cooking and eats better at childcare centre than we do! Consistently discovering and playing with the educational toys! I would suggest this setting to anyone contemplating going back to work as a fellow working mummy! My little girl has been attending since 10 months old and is now 3.

February 14, 2025 at 2:54 amThe childcare centre has a genuine family sense and they have made us sense so welcome from the highly first day. The facilities are outstanding and the activities my son gets to partake in, from painting and baking. Every day they are doing something new which means he is so excited to go in each day. He has been thoroughly supported in his discovering and the development he has made over the time he has been there is truly exceptional. He absolutely loves childcare centre and has grown so much in self‑assurance over his time there. He is made to sense supported and cared for in all that he does at Ambourne House Day Childcare centre and I can not thank them enough for the stellar start he has had to his education. I couldn’t have found a more perfect childcare centre for my son to attend.

The care for our son has been nothing but the highest standard and his development has increased hugely since he joined you. Two other members of team, in particular, are also remarkable and make sure all requests and needs are addressed fast. Thank you all so much for providing such fab childcare. I cannot suggest Ambourne House enough.

March 21, 2025 at 8:48 pmImagine what went through a 3-year-old who was refused to have strawberries when all her friends were eating. Had a horrible journey with this childcare centre, they refused to give snacks to my daughter when all other kids were having snacks in the childcare centre, only because the childcare centre manager initially said they don’t charge for “half an apple” and then in between they decided they do charge.

Due to my kid being born a micro preemie she has had some delays in meeting her milestones and the team at Ambourne have helped my daughter sense confident with her feeding, also they have worked with me and her physiotherapist and OT to assist in her meeting her milestones. The team have been exceptional, and the childcare centre has such a lovely homely sense about it too. They care so much for the kids, and every day the kids do different activities and they encourage outdoor playtime. They have a lovely big garden for the kids to playtime in. I would not hesitate recommending this childcare centre to family and friends. I highly suggest Ambourne House.

April 1, 2025 at 12:31 pmHe enjoys going and I can drop him off knowing he is cheerful there. All the team are incredibly welcoming – I’ve consistently loved how they greet my son by name no matter which room they work in or their role in the childcare centre.
The childcare centre’s Montessori approach is what makes them stand out from other local nurseries. We particularly like the fact the kids are encouraged to spend time outdoors either in their lovely natural garden or on little trips e.g to the park or to feed the ducks.
The updates from team is exceptional; they give useful information on what my son has done each day (verbal handover and via Tapestry) as well as regular ‘parents evenings’. My son has been attending Ambourne for over a year, since he was 1.

A big thank you to several members of team in particular for making her sense inviting, welcome, and secure. We couldn’t have picked a better childcare centre. May 2, 2025 at 11:31 pmThat is down to the dedication of the team and her key person has given to her. My youngest, still there! Enjoys every minute. Hates coming home. Her key person has been and also the manager. She has explained the whole vision of the childcare centre and this can be seen in all the improvements within the childcare centre. The STEM Centre is so incredible, wish I had it as a kid but my wife raves about the Montessori discovering.
We have seen such a huge effort put in by all the team. Well done to you all for creating such a lovely childcare centre for the kids and families. Both my daughters have gone to Ambourne House, one went to school last year, and wow she was so ready.

May 16, 2025 at 1:41 amHowever, no of them came slightly close as to what I felt, saw and experienced when I had my show around here for my daughter back in August 2020. It was peaceful, calm and well, just had such a family atmosphere. All the kids were spotless, cheerful and the team were incredible! They weren’t sat around, they looked involved and many spoke to me when my daughter and I had our visit. She had just turned two when she started, the toddler room. The team were incredible and made both of our first childcare centre experiences pleasant. She still attends here in the Kindergarten room. She loves going in each day! Other reasons why I would strongly suggest this childcare centre:-
– Home-cooked food with a varied diet.
– Lovely big gardens.
– Montessori inspired.
– Forest Schools.
– Local trips to the park and duck pond.
What more could you want? I’m certainly glad I trusted my gut! I had a great look around all the local nurseries (before lockdown) and had many show-arounds.

They go on daily trips with the childcare centre’s school bus, where they explore nature. They have an incredible time and lovely venues. I couldn’t ask for more.

I adore that we get pictures of some of the activities that my son does during his week there.

My son has settled in so well, he’s more confident and is highly highly cheerful.
I wish we had found the childcare centre sooner. I have moved my little boy through two nurseries so far.
