Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School (Bridgwater)

This is by far the best nursery going the staff are great and keep you informed of everything your child does all day. My son has come on so well since being at this nursery and the manager goes above and beyond to fit your hours in would 100% recommend this place.

We are really pleased we chose to send our son to Mama Bear’s. All the staff are really warm and welcoming – we can’t speak highly enough of the nursery. Communication is always great. We love that they use a parent app because we get to see photos and messages throughout the day. As key workers, we’ve been so grateful that he has been able to attend nursery during the pandemic and we always feel confident Mama Bear’s does everything to keep everyone safe as they can. Our son has clearly built up a great relationship with his key worker and other staff. Knowing he is happy, makes us happy! Thanks for all you do.

I have been so impressed by the nursery team at Mama Bear’s in Bridgwater. The staff team are so nurturing and take the time to understand the children. I really like the fact that when we drop off and collect they take a few minutes despite being busy, to hand over. My daughter gets to do so many varied activities and loves her time at pre-school. The nursery manager is amazing – and leads by example often in the thick of it with the children as well. There is plenty of parking right outside the nursery which makes it very easy to drop off and collect, and the flexible booking system makes it more reasonable than other providers. The site is clean and safe – I have no concerns whatsoever leaving my daughter in their care.

My two boys (10 months and 2 years 10 months) started at Mama Bear’s on the 19th April and are definitely enjoying it. My 2 year old became a bit unsettled when he first started but that was supported well by all staff in the bouncy room. His key-worker along with all the other staff in the bouncy room are supporting us with some behaviour issues we are having at home and we are seeing an improvement with their support. We’ve also seen an improvement already in his development and he non stop sings nursery rhymes now wherever we are, he has started talking about letters and trying to draw them and is becoming more independent.

I was really worried about my 10 month old starting as he had been with no-one but me his whole life but he seems to have settled amazingly. We have no tears at handover and he has become less clingy since starting. I love being able to see exactly what they’ve been doing on my lunch break using the app system as its updated during the day.

Mama Bear’s Bridgwater is an absolutely outstanding nursery setting!
I could not be happier with the care and learning course provided by this fabulous nursery.
Two of my children now attend here and I have no hesitation in enrolling my third child.
The staff are absolutely fantastic; happy, welcoming, always greet you and the children with a smile and are always ready to fully inform you of your child’s day, activities and this is also updated on the parent app – brilliant! Brings real peace of mind.

It took some time for my baby to settle since he was with me for a while as a result of the lockdown. I especially appreciate Mama Bear’s Day Nursery & Pre-School (Bridgwater) for helping my then anxious baby get over his separation anxiety. It helped me focus more at work knowing he’s happy and safe.

We’ve been attending Mama Bear’s Bridgwater since January 2021 and we love it so much. We’ve stuck by them throughout the staff changes etc and I have to say that they’ve always put my boys first no matter what. My children absolutely love it there and that is the most important thing to me. One of my children struggles with emotions in situations but doesn’t have this problem at Mama Bear’s. The staff really give him their 100% and cover his needs. They are very well cared for and looked after. My only criticism, which is not of this nursery but of the way things are set up in general, is that the session times are not that great. It would be good if these could be looked at and improved for parents. For example I would much prefer doing a 10am – 4pm session instead of 12:30-5:30 slot but this is not possible. I think you need to give parents the opportunity to drop off and pick up at the times they choose. Rather than specific slots to choose from which aren’t great times.

My son has been attending this setting since October 2021.
Sending him to the nursery is one of those things I know would be beneficial for him, but so hard to do! It was. But the staff bonded with him instantly; he has such a personality!
The staff there all know who he is. He is so comfortable now in there and is so cheeky with the staff. He has gone from babies to bounce and will be going into their Pre-School next week. His speech has developed, and his confidence has only increased since being there.
His key worker for the entire time he has been there, and I can not say enough good things about her. She has the same kind of outlook on everything as we do at home and is our type of person, which is why they matched so well. Another member of staff has also been incredible since he joined. They have both been through so much change since we’ve been there, and it hasn’t shown through either of them. They’ve been consistent and amazing the whole time. An absolute credit to this nursery.

I have had a wonderful experience with Mama Bears, my eldest son joined in September 2022 and my youngest then followed a few months later. The staff are all extremely supportive and they really focus on working with me to ensure my children’s home routine is similar to their school routine which is very helpful. My youngest son, being born during the Covid pandemic has always been a very shy child and likes to stay by an adult however, since he has been in nursery the staff have really encouraged him to engage in playtime and activities with other children which have had a massive impact at home for us too. The staff are very consistent with their communications and daily updates on their app informing me of important details about their day as well as regular photos of them enjoying certain activities. The setting itself is a lovely environment with a great garden and plenty of activities in each room. All the staff are amazing and both my children love coming into the nursery!

My 2 boys attend Mama Bear’s nursery, we love it. My 3-year-old is in the preschool room and has a wonderful relationship with his key worker and the staff. He is happy, enjoys going in, is well looked after and enjoys lots of fun activities and learning! I’m impressed by the menu provided. It’s great to know that they are having a nutritious and varied diet. There have been recent changes in management which have improved many things, including communication. They offer a parent’s evening and use an App to post photos and care details. It’s great to see what they’ve been up to and helps me feel connected to them when I’m at work. My baby has recently completed some settling sessions, I can’t believe how well he is doing so far, he seems really happy on pickup and has already developed a lovely relationship with his key worker. We feel very happy to have this nursery nearby and to know the boys are well looked after, it’s not easy leaving them so young but Mama Bear’s makes it easier.
