Busy Bees Picket Twenty

My main frustration is due to the lack of tracking and providing updates on a kid’s development and next steps, especially on the extension of activities such as basic phonics and maths.
I find myself chewing down on management excuses for not doing something a lot of the time, like team shortages which have ridiculed the childcare centre for over a year now, my kid has had several key people with no consistent key person and ever-changing room team. Even now it has been taken over by Busy Bees the centre is plagued with team shortages and you will usually find cover team in the rooms who just make up the required team-to-kid ratio.
Overall, my feedback is to avoid the setting and find a setting that cares not only for the kid but the family as well. My journey of this setting is quite poor, that said the team are fantastic and I sense very welcomed by them, unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the management.

From day one Egg have been stellar. I cannot rate the team highly enough; not only in the care they provided for my son but the all-round family sense of the setting itself. We were welcomed into the Egg ‘family’ and were very sorry to leave. My son has additional health needs (severe allergies and eczema) and this was very well managed. Continued updates helped to make us sense at ease but so did their practices and procedures. The setting was very inclusive, especially for us when it came to food. Something we’re very grateful for. The childcare centre is well managed and the managers are visible to both parents and the kids. Updates around invoicing and changes to policy was clear and concise. Their handling of the Covid situation was also exceptional and reassuring that, as ever, the kids are the centre of their business. Highly suggest. My son started with Egg at 11 months and stayed until we relocated just before his 4th birthday.

She has excellent enjoyable doing all the different activities they organise throughout the day and we are kept updated with photos which is lovely.
I wish I could attend for the meals – they have their own private chef and the menu is something you would expect to find in a Michelin star restaurant! My daughter loves it here, the team are so welcoming and attentive.

Our son has been here for over a year and has developed fantastic nurturing relationships with team across the childcare centre. Team are attentive to his needs and provide regular feedback via daily handovers and electronic updates using the app/email and the newsletter. There are robust kid safeguarding procedures in place which really does provide peace of mind. The activities are stimulating and age-appropriate, introducing new concepts and encouraging little ones to explore their world. The meal plans are balanced and fresh hot meals are provided twice a day. The childcare centre is well led and well managed, with a very approachable management team. The enthusiasm with which our boy responds to team and arriving at childcare centre is also a really great indicator of his journey of the setting too! Outstanding childcare centre overall. Egg Day Childcare centre Picket Twenty provides a secure and enjoyable setting for kids to thrive in.

My daughter has been attending Egg Day Childcare centre since she was around 2 and a half years old and has come along leaps and bounds since being there, both in an educational sense but also personality wise, thanks to the nurturing setting they have created for all those who attend. Having been solely looked after at home before attending, I was a little nervous about how she would get on in a childcare centre setting but immediately after her first settling in session, I was put at ease, largely down to the excellent team of people working there and the tools they use, such as Tapestry, so as you can see the development the kids are making as well as keeping updated as to what they have learned throughout the day. Everything from education to the food they eat is aimed at nurturing the kids and this is a testament to all who work at and run the childcare centre. We will be so sad to say goodbye in September! Outstanding childcare centre with exceptional team and a excellent setting for little ones to grow and learn!

Our little girl has just thrived there and often doesn’t want to come home when we go to fetch her. They do such fantastic activities with the kids too! All the carers/educators are so fantastic with the kids and consistently so welcoming and supportive. Egg Day Childcare centre was the best decision we made.

He has built some fantastic relationships with the team there who have consistently shown care and attention to his individual well-being and educational development. The team are expert and attentive, and we are delighted to be sending our daughter there now. Thank you so much to the Egg team, the childcare centre journey has set a fantastic nurturing foundation for our son’s next step into school. We have been extremely impressed with the care our son has received from Egg Day Childcare centre, during his 3 and a half years there.

I particularly like the fact that the garden is not segregated so kids of all ages can playtime together. The childcare centre team present as really nurturing and attentive. They form such great attachments with my kid that they go into childcare centre happily and I sense reassured that he receives great care. I have had no cause to be concerned. My kid is thriving in the childcare centre setting. The childcare centre facilities are outstanding, the kids have adequate space to playtime and explore.

When dropping off and picking up we consistently receive a personal touch. I have found the childcare centre to be inviting, welcoming, seems well managed and very kid orientated.

Not only towards my son but a very emotional mummy too. The same when my second son joined in 2020. Both boys delight in their days at childcare centre and come home talking about all the exciting activities they have done. I consistently sense cheerful leaving the boys there from the moment they are greeted by the smiley, welcoming team. As a key worker I had to work during lockdown and the team were outstanding during such a tricky time. The mangers ensured the setting was secure and were incredibly supportive. The practitioners in the rooms ensured that the kids were so cheerful and unaware of what was going on. I was incredibly impressed with all their hard work.
My boys adore food and they are never unsatisfied with what they are given. I know that when I pick them up they are full and cheerful.
Questions are answered with a quick response. My eldest son joined in 2017 and we have experienced nothing but remarkable care and assistance from day one.
