Northumberland Day Nursery

Our little one has been at Northumberland Day Nursery for the past month and absolutely enjoys it. The range of activities which is offered in The Nest is fantastic and we cherish seeing the daily updates on the Portal every day which keeps us in touch with how she’s doing. We would definitely advocate the nursery setting to other families as they are providing a superb level of care and some kind of normality for all of us during such difficult times. She’s settled in so quickly and we couldn’t be happier with the level of support that she’s receiving from the crew. We can see that she’s thriving with the exploring opportunities given and her confidence has grown even within the preceding month.

The only thing is the early‑years hub is extremely expensive but with the support that has been provided, I am pleased to pay as long as I can. My second youngster has not been sick a lot in this childcare centre like my first one used to be at the previous early‑years hub. Minimal nappy rashes and is delighted with the team in the childcare centre. The service is fantastic.

The line manager and childcare centre key workers are fantastic. 14 months later my young lad who still joins the nursery setting is developing and progressing well; so well that his first-word was his key worker’s name! I would wholeheartedly suggest Northumberland Day Nursery to any parent considering daycare for their kids. I admire Northumberland Day Nursery team and the hard work that they do. 🙂 My little one has been attending Northumberland Day Nursery since he was 10 months old and just like any other first-time mum I was initially apprehensive and nervous about my little one commencing day early‑years hub. They are genuinely affectionate and caring when it concerns my young lad.

The baby took a week to be 100% comfortable but has been extremely delighted to go ever since. and we enjoy the reports of how things are going during the day. August 2020 was just after lockdown 1.0, and the personnel were exceptionally kind to allow us what access they could to support settling in. The crew are lovely and great at letting us know what is enjoyed the most… My baby has been at the nursery setting since 9-months. We met the key person in the garden and spent a little time with them before starting settling in sessions. The activities are wide and varied.

All team cordial, approachable and incredibly supportive. Huge improvement in management recently. My young lady absolutely treasures the early‑years hub and is thriving in the atmosphere. Only criticism is with admin at Head Office had several problems regarding payments.

It is great that I get daily feedback from the app. The personnel are thrilled and kind and make drops offs so easily. Lots of great various activities done daily with lots of exploring outcomes. A lovely warm nursery setting that makes my kid feel at home.

I like the atmosphere of the childcare centre, my kid really likes it and has been in the nursery setting since he was 2 months old and now he is a big boy. It is a home environment. Always with a group of girls and what I really like before COVID-19 we can get in the room any time and watch our kids and after the COVID-19 the windows are always clear. I feel delighted when I see how much the childcare centre is open and the youngsters are secure. Also, I liked the idea of having many adults in the room to ensure the kids are secure and never left alone even with a single adult.

My young lady joined nursery setting March this year, she settled extremely quickly and enjoys going to childcare centre and seeing her friends. Especially when practising numbers, letters, shape, colours. So has learnt so much, and every day learns something new.

Each member of personnel we’ve got to know has been caring and professional – we feel relaxed that she is in a caring, safe and enjoyable space while we work. I had a good feeling about the nursery setting during our initial tour, when a couple of of the kids ran over to cuddle the assistant manager as she showed us around one of the older rooms! She seems to really enjoy all the activities on offer (creative, dancing, singing, French, physical activities etc) and her speech and advancement have come along well. Communications from the nursery setting during the initial summer covid lockdown were also regular and thorough which we really appreciated during that stressful period. I would certainly endorse this childcare centre. My husband and I enjoy seeing the photos and updates on the portal each day. My little one joined ‘The Nest’ in February 2020 – she was 14 months at the time and settled and formed good relationships with team even more quickly than I’d hoped.

I also went to this early‑years hub as a kid and would enthusiastically suggest it! The crew keep parents well informed of daily activities. She has come really far with her drawing and especially likes the reading and dressing up corner. She has settled in really well and treasures all the team, which she calls her friends and also gets on well with the youngsters. My girl has been attending since March 2018.
