November 22, 2021 at 12:00 amWe moved to the area and visited a few nurseries for our 2-years-old son. First Class Nursery is a bit far from our house, but we really liked the initial tour, and the information we were given so we decided to go for it. I am glad that we went for First Class Nursery because our son had an amazing time. The staff is so friendly and professional. I would strongly recommend First Class Nursery.

September 10, 2022 at 12:00 amOur experience with First Class Nursery was excellent. The staff are very attentive and enthusiastic. Our son loves them all equally. Communication is prompt and detailed. We received regular updates on learning and progress towards goals. The setting is lovely too, small and intimate, next to great outdoor activities such as a playground, the river path and woodlands, plus the Heritage Centre is just a short walk away.

September 26, 2022 at 12:00 amWe have nothing but positive things to say about First Class Nursery. The staff always have time to discuss any worries we may have, as well as just a general catch-up of what they’ve been doing that day. I love seeing the photographs showing what fun activities he’s been up to on the private Facebook page. The food is always a hit with my son too and he tries lots of foods that he wouldn’t dream of trying at home.

September 29, 2022 at 12:00 amMy children absolutely love going to nursery here. I as a parent I love the day-to-day breakdown from staff who are all so friendly and I enjoy hearing from my children what they have been doing and the fun they have had.

December 14, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has attended all year and has developed really well at this nursery. The staff are really friendly and my son enjoys going here. The trips to a farm are particularly good and my son really enjoys these.

February 22, 2023 at 12:00 amExcellent nursery providing a caring environment with great variation in activities to allow children to learn. The staff is very friendly and takes the time to go over the day’s highlights. My child has not once complained about having to go to nursery in the nearly two years he’s gone there now and always seems to enjoy their day. I’m planning to have my second child attend this nursery as well. 4/5 stars regarding cleanliness as our child has got very dirty hands when coming back from nursery sometimes, so maybe an extra washing of hands a day would help. But certainly not an environment which isn’t clean! 4/5 stars regarding management since the last management change appears to have resulted in less contact with parents. I have yet to meet the new management. Otherwise a very organised nursery.

March 8, 2023 at 12:00 amMy daughter absolutely loves the nursery. From day 1 she has settled in brilliantly and loves all the staff which is a big relief when you feel guilty leaving your child so you can go to work. She loves the food and I love seeing all the photo updates of what she has been getting up to via their Facebook page and learning journals. I enjoy the events in the nursery e.g. carol singing as it allows me to see inside the nursery and see where she plays, eats etc. The only thing that could be improved in my opinion is a regular “parents evening” so I can discuss her progress in a relaxed manner and not a quick chat with the ladies at the door at pick up. Also, could the handover be online (on the learning journals app or something similar)? I know this is not something that can be turned around quickly but something to look into for the future perhaps.

March 8, 2023 at 12:00 amMy granddaughter absolutely loves going to her nursery class. She has to ring the doorbell every time to let them know she has arrived and then she just goes straight in without giving me a second glance. I can see the difference in her already. The staff are all lovely and keep you informed of the days events and also, of any wee accidents that may have occurred. The online journal is great and allows us to enjoy seeing what she has been learning each day so that we can discuss it when she comes home. The meals and snacks are very good and varied which has encouraged new tastes and favourites.

March 8, 2023 at 12:00 amI have 2 children at the nursery. This is their second nursery after moving from Glasgow. It is such an improvement from where they were before. The staff are all friendly, patient and appear to have genuine friendships with the children. The interaction from Facebook and online journals means you always have an insight into the days activities and what the children are learning. The food offered during snacks and meal times is nutritious and varied. The main thing is how much my children love going. They took a bit of time to settle, which was handled well by all the staff, but now they practically run in and walk out with smiles on their faces (and crackers in their hands)

March 15, 2023 at 12:00 amBeen using First Class Nursery for the past 2 years and have two out of three of our boys here. Absolutely love all the staff, the effort that goes into planning sessions every day and how much they update parents on what’s been going on and involve all the children in activities in and around the local area make it such a fun environment for the kids. Wouldn’t consider another nursery have had the best experience here. Thanks to all the amazing staff.

March 16, 2023 at 12:00 amWe viewed multiple nurseries before going with First Class Nursery. They were genuinely interested during the tour and didn’t seem like our child would be just another tick on an excel sheet; our son was initially hesitant to start nursery (as I guess most kids are) but has since come on leaps and bounds thanks to the careful nurturing of the staff; he gets genuinely excited in the morning when he knows he is going in (even if he doesn’t show that at the door when he’s handed over)! I would recommend First Class in a heartbeat, and it is fantastic to be kept up to date through the daily diary of what’s going on and regular photos from the staff.

March 27, 2023 at 12:00 amWe moved our son to First Class Nursery when he was two and a half as his then nursery could not offer funded places when he turned three. It was a difficult decision and we struggled to find somewhere we liked until we went for a visit here. Despite my apprehension about how he would settle somewhere new, he adapted and came along so much in a few short weeks of being here! We have been so pleased with the education and support provided, and the care and professionalism by all the staff we have encountered (both permanent and bank). It has been great to hear and see the progress he is making and he speaks so fondly of the friends he has made as he does the staff that take care of them. Our son loves the community interactions with the local care home, and visits to the parks, farm and even local shops. It’s great how this nursery thinks outside the box to help the children develop.
