November 2, 2015 at 12:00 amMy little one really enjoys going to the nursery 3 days a week. He has a key person who he loves (always talks about her at home). He used to bite other kids when he felt crowded or pushed. Windmill Day Nursery really helped him with this biting issue and encouraged him to express his feelings more adequately. I’m really happy we chose this nursery for him and next year I’m planning on taking my daughter there too.

November 2, 2015 at 12:00 amBoth my kids enjoy attending Windmill Day Nursery they love the food and ask for seconds! The nursery program is varied and provides them with good stimulation e.g. painting, baking, dressing up, reading and outside pay and exploratory toys for the under 2’s. Fantastic setting! Great friendly and caring staff. My lads love their key workers and settled within a few sessions! Highly recommend.

November 2, 2015 at 12:00 amMy son has been going to Windmill Day Nursery since he was 6 months on my return to work. Throughout his sessions his social/development skills are amazing, his learning is ongoing and he is ding everything he should be. The staff and management have always been friendly, kind and understanding with all of my son’s needs. He loves going to nursery. The activities and learning he does there are always so well planned. I wouldn’t take him anywhere else.

December 7, 2015 at 12:00 amStaff are very friendly and accommodating. My son loves his stay and looks forward to it during the week. One of the teachers is bilingual and helps with teaching Italian for which I am very grateful as it is my heritage.

August 23, 2016 at 12:00 amWindmill Day Nursery is a nursery that is like a family. The staff provide a high standard of care, whilst also allowing your child to learn independence – from Free play, to eating, to brushing teeth. The Monkey room gives a safe haven to the under 2s and provides a high level of feedback to parents (which is invaluable to parents who have just returned to work). The staff work closely with the child at the time of transition to the Giraffe and Panda rooms so the child is well settled. In the Giraffe and Panda rooms (2+) every aspect of care is centred around allowing your child make the transition from nursery to school. This is done gradually and with support and good communication with the parents.
Having a year round nursery that provides a considered and high standard of care for your child in a family like setting, is difficult to find and I am pleased we found it!

August 25, 2016 at 12:00 amBoth my children have attended Windmill Day Nursery and I cannot recommend it highly enough. As a committee run nursery, you are always 100% sure that all decisions are made for the children!
Thanks to everyone at Windmill for making it such a fab place for my kids to spend their first years!!

September 12, 2016 at 12:00 amI would highly recommend Windmill nursery. It is a welcoming and well-managed nursery, and I have found that my child has greatly enjoyed and benefited from his time at the nursery. The activities are varied and immensely engaging, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were very worried when we initially left our son in Windmill’s care as he was only 9 months old but we need not have! He was well looked after, and we had daily updates of how his day had been, along with constant contact throughout the day if we felt at all worried or wanted to check he was ok. The staff were very patient and understanding with us, as new parents, and helped alleviate any concerns we might have had. Windmill has been a great nursery choice and we are very pleased with how they have looked after our precious child.

September 23, 2016 at 12:00 amOur youngest child has just left Windmill Day Nursery after 11 years of us having 1 or more children at the nursery. All of our children have been wonderfully cared for at the nursery. They’ve all got very different personalities and have different needs but each one of them thrived within Windmill Day Nursery.
The nursery has a fantastic homely feel and the staff have always cared about families as a whole and not just the children who attend.
We’ve been very lucky to have had such a wonderful nursery to help us care for our children x

November 22, 2016 at 12:00 amVery impressed with the staff who show a genuine care for the children. My children have always been happy here . Only criticism is the drop off point, – it’s always a bit crowded and chaotic and no chairs to sit and get your child’s shoes off/on etc. always feels a bit rushed.

January 19, 2017 at 12:00 amI have always found the staff to be of a very high competency and my children have always bonded with them and forged a strong positive relationship. I like the layout of the rooms and the way they incorporate educational play and give lots of praise. I am very happy with Windmill Day Nursery.

January 24, 2017 at 12:00 amI cannot fault the care and attention the staff give to my son. Outdoor play is really important to us and the nursery ensure plenty of time is spent outside, especially the older ones. I love the homely setting and the freedom the children have to explore, play and grow.

February 16, 2022 at 12:00 amAmazing supportive team. I have always felt completely comfortable leaving my son and he is always so happy to be there. The staff have built up really strong relationships with him and have supported him when there have been changes within the nursery.
Highly recommend Windmill Nursery they are all great.

February 17, 2022 at 12:00 amBoth my children have attended Windmill, the younger is still currently, and they have loved the staff and the atmosphere. The home from home feel and freedom to access the garden which has been recently redone is wonderful. Very happy and tired children at the end of every day.
And the option for early drop off is so helpful to get ourselves to work smoothly.

February 17, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been going to Windmill Day Nursery for nearly 3 years and they really have gone above and beyond to accommodate us.
They provide a great developmental environment for children with a varied array of learning throughout each day.
I am happy with the care that my daughter has received not only in the baby room but also downstairs with the older children.
We are due another child in July and they will also be going to Windmill Day Nursery.
I highly recommend the nursery to anyone who maybe interested.

February 28, 2022 at 12:00 amMy child absolutely loves the nursery setting. They cannot wait each morning to go and play with their friends. I believe this is the most important testament to a nursery setting.
The staff are lovely and friendly. My child loves having fun with them every day.
My child’s language has improved, they have learned to count and recognise letters and can write their own name and type the names of their friends.
We found Windmill after moving to the area in 2020 and will be sad to say goodbye this year when we move to school.

March 7, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son started nursery late due to the pandemic. He learnt to walk and talk in lockdown but was behind in speech. Since starting Windmill Nursery he has blossomed and as an only child has grown so much to be with other children and share and learn from them. He has been very happy…excited even to go to this nursery every time. The communication to parents is so easy and close that you feel like you are talking to friends. Could not recommend this nursery enough.
